It was. Crazy stuff.wtf with his name rights? was that serious?
Redcafe mods would like to inform Chelsea FC if they're reading this that we have no affiliation with this poster and they have been banned. Can't wait to see his name back in the thread title.
Feels good to be able to say it again.
Jose Mourinho.
Jose. Mourinho.
How the hell could they trademark someones name? If thats the case the bloke who has been selling Mourinhos scarf since December should be getting his collar felt.It was. Crazy stuff.
We can take it out of the Jon Obi Mikel Comedy Fund.People panicking at this are stupid, united will find a way around it or pay chelsea some money. They wont let this deal be jepordized by some image right problem.
At worst we will Pay amount close to 500kto 1 million to chelsea. Such amount is peanuts for us. We can either make him but his image rights from chelsea or buy them off for him. These are nothing ourlegal team cant resolve

Seems like chelsea have some products patented with Mourinho's name on it that are protected for quite some time (possibly renewed when he signed on for his second tenure). Also read they had his written personal consent to get the patents approved. Some of you guys might know better than me, but when Cantona retired didn't he have some small dispute with United and they rather quickly had to stop selling products with his name on?
I'm surprised if ™ hadn't sorted this out a while ago.
Coincidentally there was a report only a few days ago about him recently settling a Spanish tax dispute about image rights while he was at Real Madrid.
I would say a rather bad reason to leave rhe EU. If Britain leaves the EU, isn't it possible that UK football teams could be kicked out of EUFA? Imagine that. They have registered with the EU intellectual property office - sounds like yet another excellent reason to support Brexit next month
Image rights from 2007, seemed pretty laughable IMO.At last?
Its been two days, and its a multi million pound contract.
It took a month to organise a contract for a new snack machine company at my business.
Even so, I'd have expected Chelsea's shop to have dumped all that stuff in a clearance sale by now.So I think this no normal image rights negotiation. I think Chelsea forfeited the general image rights probably when they firred him but might still have the rights for the specific products they patented under his trademark. If our commercial department would like to commercialise some of these they will need to buy patents from Chelsea.
Edit: seems they don't anymore
UEFA has nothing to do with the EU...I would say a rather bad reason to leave rhe EU. If Britain leaves the EU, isn't it possible that UK football teams could be kicked out of EUFA? Imagine that.
No. You may notice that Iceland, Turkey, Russia etc are in UEFA but not the EU.I would say a rather bad reason to leave rhe EU. If Britain leaves the EU, isn't it possible that UK football teams could be kicked out of EUFA? Imagine that.
Norway isn't in the EU, and they still play under UEFA.I would say a rather bad reason to leave rhe EU. If Britain leaves the EU, isn't it possible that UK football teams could be kicked out of EUFA? Imagine that.

Not to worry the UK teams will be able to play teams from the countries they have arranged these super trade deals with , namely Greenland, Antarctica and TuvaluI would say a rather bad reason to leave rhe EU. If Britain leaves the EU, isn't it possible that UK football teams could be kicked out of EUFA? Imagine that.
They haven't commercialised all those products, they just have patented the rights to do soEven so, I'd have expected Chelsea's shop to have dumped all that stuff in a clearance sale by now.
So are you gonna threadmark it oorrrrrrr?Nothing.
hth
Exactly.Like some guy said in this thread. They're sat in a room asking each other how long do we need to wait before signing him so it doesn't look like this was all agreed months ago.
