Poor again today. A manager with cojones of granite would drop Pogba, bringing him only once the outcome of the match is no longer in question.
It’s far slower. Much like Italian league. It suits his play when he has more time to do his Pogba shitHe's a top 5 player in the world in International football and wouldn't crack the top 100 in the club game it's bizarre.
Sure, but the disparity is still incredible. He's basically prime Schweinsteiger in International football and yet he's a worse Prem player than John McGinn or Doucoure. It’s far slower. Much like Italian league. It suits his play when he has more time to do his Pogba shit
Come off it. Top 5 player for the France team maybe. He's a top 5 player in the world in International football and wouldn't crack the top 100 in the club game it's bizarre.
True but players need pride also. Gerrard would perform playing in shite pool sides with Dalglish as manager....it's a bit of Paul and a bit of us that holds him backBut, but Kante is a one man midfield for France. Oops, tchouameni was playing. . .
The arguments people formulate would hold weight if the team were playing well whilst Pogba was pulling them down but the above isn’t some anomaly in his time here. We have a £200mil+ defence that week on week outdo themselves on how to concede the worst goals possible & 2 ‘all action midfielders’ who struggle to keep the ball whilst letting fleet fitted wingers boss them off it but it’s Pogba that’s the issue. . .
The man can leave honestly, I’m rather meh about it at this point but the passion posters show in here should be replicated elsewhere.
Pogba is the easiest "world class midfielder" to play against. He doesn't use his natural gifts nearly enough and is kinda soft.Got bossed by Tielmans. Tielmans knows how to control a game of football with his passing range.
Got bossed by Etienne Capouee few weeks ago too. He gets bossed by anyone who works hard and gets in his face.Got bossed by Tielmans. Tielmans knows how to control a game of football with his passing range.
I’m not sure why Pogba always gets the blame when we basically only defend with six men off the ball. We have a back four and a double pivot, Bruno haring around like a rabid, 19-year-old Wayne Rooney, and then three forwards strolling around. Literally everyone we do play and anyone we could buy for that back four and midfield double pivot is and would get exposed.Got bossed by Etienne Capouee few weeks ago too. Even his loyal army of fans are struggling to defend him now. He left Matic completley exposed yesterday and Matic to his credit did okay. Pogba was the huge issue in the midfield and Ole left him on. Unbelievable.
Bang on. After games like yesterday everyone will have a go at players they have agendas against when in reality only one or two players looked decent and the biggest issue is our whole setup. I have given up guessing what position Bruno for example is even playing in. It seems he's doing whatever he likes which can be good when we have the ball but catastrophic when we don't.I’m not sure why Pogba always gets the blame when we basically only defend with six men off the ball. Until we start defending from the front it won’t improve. It is too easy for the opposition to overload us in different areas of the pitch without overcommitting. Villarreal and Leicester were great examples of this.
Oh, you are fecked. You are so very fecked. It's not Greenwood's natural game. He can perhaps learn, but maybe not. Ronaldo will not be willing OR able. Rashford will have no issues, but I question Sancho's athleticism for this.I’m not sure why Pogba always gets the blame when we basically only defend with six men off the ball. I’m fecked or United are fecked?Oh, you are fecked. You are so very fecked. It's not Greenwood's natural game. He can perhaps learn, but maybe not. Ronaldo will not be willing OR able. Rashford will have no issues, but I question Sancho's athleticism for this.
Because he lets his team mates down and fans down with a total lack of effort.I’m not sure why Pogba always gets the blame when we basically only defend with six men off the ball. It's true. United have conceded 10 goals so far, despite De Gea being our best player, while City have conceded 3 - Jesus does 18 presses a game, while Ronaldo does 2 and Greenwood does 8. It matters, it's not just all on the defenders.Until we start defending from the front it won’t improve. See now that’s a fair appraisal, but when the same idiots rock up in this thread calling people ‘fanboys’ simply cause they don’t hate him with the same vigour as they do it’s rather hard not to defend him somewhat.True but players need pride also. I don’t detect the lack of effort. He’s going to being running around less because he’s being asked to play a holding midfield role. I think he’s less disciplined at making a lung-bursting recovery run if someone breaks past him than he could be, but that’s not a major issue in a double pivot because you aren’t frequently vacating your defensive position.Because he lets his team mates down and fans down with a total lack of effort.
Very true. In the Belgium - France game it was the other way around then. Tielemans was shocking in that match. In fact, he was probably the worst player on the pitch.Got bossed by Tielmans. Tielmans knows how to control a game of football with his passing range.
If you need to play any combination of McFred, VDB, Lingard, Cavani, Rashford and possibly Greenwood in the front 6 in the short term then so be it. Fundamentally the first expectation of a United player should be that they work as hard as the opposition.Oh, you are fecked. You are so very fecked. It's not Greenwood's natural game. He can perhaps learn, but maybe not. Ronaldo will not be willing OR able. Rashford will have no issues, but I question Sancho's athleticism for this.
What would you expect to see from any of Fred, McT or, especially, VDB in Paul Pogba’s position and role yesterday? If you need to play any combination of McFred, VDB, Lingard, Cavani, Rashford and possibly Greenwood in the front 6 in the short term then so be it. Until players like Pogba, Martial, Sancho etc show that they're willing to put the same effort in as the likes of Cavani and Lingard then frankly they should be on the bench.
We're making the same mistakes now that we did under Mourinho. We've moved from Lukaku, Martial, Pogba and Matic; to Ronaldo, Sancho, Pogba and Matic. It didn't work then and it isn't working now.
When Ole arrived he correctly noted that our inability to work as hard as the opposition as a key problem. Four years later he's assembled a team that has an equally piss poor work ethic. Martial for Sancho is like for like. Lukaku for Ronaldo is like for like. He's still playing a useless Pogba and offering him a pay rise. He's still hanging Matic out to dry by playing him with Pogba.
If Ole wants to survive he needs a reset. Even if that means initially playing a front 6 including only Fred, McTominay, VDB, Lingard, Bruno, Cavani and Rashford. Integrate our lazier, ponderous players one at a time keeping five of those 7 in the team.
I don't know any team that's successful whilst carrying four players in the first 11 who refuse to at least work hard.
Pogba was one of four players incapable or unwilling to work hard whether due to age or apathy. If we changed one player I'd expect nothing to change. Changing all four I'd expect a team who would be more talented than the opposition and also who would work at least as hard as them. What would you expect to see from any of Fred, McT or, especially, VDB in Paul Pogba’s position and role yesterday?
Most of these were pens mate.Disagree here to be honest, he certainly has the capability to score a good amount of goals, his best tally for us was 15 and that wasn't even with him playing a very free attacking role.
If he was given Bruno's role in the team I'm sure he'd do quite well, but we already have Bruno so it's pointless speculating, we should just let him go.
The question is..."who is the most over rated so called Elite footballer in the world".if Pogba is the answer I'm not sure what the question is
Let him go and be thankful
Because tackling, positional sense and composure are probably the most important qualities in a CM.Hes got the all the tools to be a (imo) world class CM, but hes not using those tools to any effect.
Hes got pace, muscle, technique and vision, but somehow when hes asked to play CM hes looking like a lad fresh from the academy
He's right, I also doubt SAF would ever have taken him back in the first place.John Giles on the radio saying Ferguson would never have put up with how Pogba and his agent have treated the club.
Right or wrong, what this club needs to do is to stop listen or think what Sir Alex Ferguson would do. Or class of 92' and so on.John Giles on the radio saying Ferguson would never have put up with how Pogba and his agent have treated the club.
International football is way underorganized. It's more like how we usually play. Just give the ball to the best players and try to get something with just a few playing patterns. He's a top 5 player in the world in International football and wouldn't crack the top 100 in the club game it's bizarre.
Not a chance. Even on a free he would not have resigned him. In fairness to Ole, it was Mourinho who signed Pogba. But it is Ole who is continuing to play him. I felt at the time Ole was hired that he should have gotten rid of Pogba too along with Sanchez and Fellaini. I said it back then that either Ole got rid of Pogba or Pogba would get rid of Ole and it is looking like the latter. He's right, I also doubt SAF would ever have taken him back in the first place.
