What all Wummers or proper info with decent sources? The RI Sanctuary? Yes.
I don't care enough about this to argue this out much further, but you're taking that post slightly out of context. I orginally responded to a poster saying It's extrememly difficult to prize top teams players away, I said Juventus have far more of a history of selling important players in their prime years more-so than the likes of Barca and Real. I mean Real in particular, I can't remember... ever selling one of their superstars that they've wanted to keep. That's like saying that United are a selling club cause we sold Ronaldo, Beckham, RVN, and Veron over the years. Every situation has a unique reason for happening.
I seem to recall someone saying that we have a lot of cash in Dollars. We are registered as a business in Delaware I believe.A lot less silly than most of the speculation in here. Although I'm fairly sure someone earlier on said there was a way to hedge against currency fluctuations in big money deals like this. Some finance-y type of bloke. @Jippy, maybe?
If you think Saul is a better player than Pogba then fair enough, we should be signing him instead.Right, so its common sense not to question the risks of signing a player for over £100m off the back of an inconsistent season by his own standards
Where has this came from? Is there a report about it? Or do I need to stop being anal reading these comments as I build up anticipation before clicking on transfer tweets to read them?So it's confirmed that Raiola is in Manchester, is it?
Interesting theory, but yep, am sure there'll be hedging in place and given the size of the some of the deals being talked about, sterling weakness doesn't seem to be putting off English clubs from spending big.A lot less silly than most of the speculation in here. This is sarcasm right? Anything else would be simply bigoted. The quoted sums for Pogba is even more laughable now. Really hope we don't get him for such prices.
And are in negotiations with Napoli about Higuain, and linked with Matic. I agree, all the evidence suggests a Spurs style spending spree in the run up to the sale of Bale.Juve have now signed Pjaca, another midfielder. If anybody else needed any more convincing, here's another clue.
It's a forum so don't expect to find a continuous drip feed of inside information for your consumption. But yes, there is proper info from decent sources. What all Wummers or proper info with decent sources?
Most common sense thing i've heard. Suprised really that Chelsea with Conte are not in for him now.Cash chat is too boring. We've got loads of the bloody stuff.
Will Pogba strengthen us as a team? Hell yes. Would every other Premier League side want him? Hell yes.
Let's sign him before Man City or Chelsea decide they need him next summer.
Ok cool. Good to know. It's a forum so don't expect to find a continuous drip feed of inside information for your consumption. But yes, there is proper info from decent sources.
Is there another team in the world that could pay these kinds of figures for Pogba? Most common sense thing i've heard. Suprised really that Chelsea with Conte are not in for him now.
I would rather want Saul than Pogba, and I don't think £100m is worth allocating all to Pogba. It may not shake us as much financially, but that doesn't mean we forego some form of rational spending relative to our wallet size.If you think Saul is a better player than Pogba then fair enough, we should be signing him instead.
If you think Pogba is in fact the superior player but you'd rather not sign him because doing so would involve the Glazers spending more money, then I don't know what you're talking about.
If you genuinely believe that the financial viability of Manchester United Football Club would be under threat should we decide to chuck £100m at Juve for Pogba, then you're completely detached from reality.
Its bigoted to not want Pogba for 120m?This is sarcasm right? Anything else would be simply bigoted.
Don't derail this thread by asking about the transfer itself, we're only discussing if we should allow Woody to spend the money that the club has put aside for transfers on transfers or not because yknow, as fans, that's our job and concern. So it's confirmed that Raiola is in Manchester, is it?
I'd imagine that a lot of capital is kept in US Dollars by Red Football LLC the overall parent company of United and they can shuffle numbers around with in house loans in scenarios like this to avoid using a weak sterling. Just a complete guess obviously.A lot less silly than most of the speculation in here. Although I'm fairly sure someone earlier on said there was a way to hedge against currency fluctuations in big money deals like this. Some finance-y type of bloke. @Jippy, maybe?
Do you know where he lived during those 3 years?Pogba is "familiar with and used to England" when he played mostly for the youth team (a vast difference) and played how many games with the senior squad?
Sure it's not totally foreign to him, but to say he's "used to" it especially at the level he'll be playing is a bit of a pointless exaggeration.
Well, I hope its true.I can promise you they've analysed the financial risks involved in a £100m transfer in far greater detail than anyone on this forum.
Somewhere in Beijing I assumeDo you know where he lived during those 3 years?
He was living in Manchester for 3 years, played some cup matches and was in quite a few match day squads without getting on the pitch. Yes he is familiar with England.Pogba is "familiar with and used to England" when he played mostly for the youth team (a vast difference) and played how many games with the senior squad?

The financial side of the club is the best in the world. I wouldn't worry.Well, I hope its true.
When Moyes was hired, I already knew it would be a disaster. Clearly MUFC did not do a proper analysis. From this point onwards, nothing would surprise me, regarding MUFC's decision making.
They also bought for a transfer record Di Maria and LVG did not seem to know where he wanted to play him.
Yes he is familiar with it, but I wouldn't say he is used to it, as that would require playing a handful of matches at the EPL level, which he did not. Did he even play up to 15 matches combined in both cups and the league with the senior squad? He was living in Manchester for 3 years, played some cup matches and was in quite a few match day squads without getting on the pitch. We wouldn't buy him if we don't need him. Mourinho knows exactly what players he want and how to use them. He had 6 months to prepare for the United job. So I really wouldn't worry about that.Well, I hope its true.

LVG guided a very poor Netherlands squad to 3rd at the World cup which included a humiliation for Spain. He has also won many trophies with the clubs he managed before then and also won us the FA Cup. The decision making was understandable on this choice as it was for buying ADM. No one could foresee the formation and philosophy LVG would adapt with the United squad and the terrible decisions regarding players positions.Well, I hope its true.

Hiring Moyes wasn't a financial decision. We're debating the financial sense of spending this big a wedge on Pogba. As a football decision, it may or may not be right but as a financial decision they wouldn't have committed this much to him without being aware of the risks and deeming them insufficient to stop them committing so much dough on him.Well, I hope its true.

I suppose it depends on your definition of being used to it, but it's not going to be a new or strange experience for him. He knows the tempo and style of the league, that's better than most have already.Yes he is familiar with it, but I wouldn't say he is used to it, as that would require playing a handful of matches at the EPL level, which he did not. We are finally seeing movementTweet

Di Marzio claimed this was how it would happen, now it seems to be happening. I think this is really just an update that the wheels are moving.Havent they been claiming this was about to happen for weeks
It has been obvious for ages. If this saga was to do with City or Chelsea, people would be more relaxed and see how clear as day it is that the deal is happening. But because it involves us people are more quick to worry or question it, it was exactly the same with Mourinho. And are in negotiations with Napoli about Higuain, and linked with Matic. I agree, all the evidence suggests a Spurs style spending spree in the run up to the sale of Bale.
If we sign Pogba, everyone will look back and say how obvious it was that this was always going to happen, that every shred of evidence and logic pointed to them spending Pogba money on a clutch of new players.
