Villa have been running on empty for a while now (see their European performance and look at their form) so that's bollocks really. Top 4 was absolutely there for Spurs, and Arsenal aren't even winning anyway against Everton.
And Spurs were on a barnstorming 15 match winning streak when City came to town.

Do people seriously think the Spurs players and manager didn’t try their utmost to get something from their match with City? Reading some comments it’s like Tottenham lay down for City to win which is absurd for anyone who watched that match.
They didn't watch the match or are on the wacky tabacky

Trossard has been shockingly bad today, but I kinda fancy him to get the winner

city are cruising anyway, but this is very arsenal behaviour.

Also, the slo mo of guardiola celebrating the third was hard to watch, such false emotion. Its like watching a terribly acted soap

You're right, Spurs on the other hand were in sensational form before then, picking up less points than Everton 'Harlem Globetrotters' FC since November.

Anthony Taylor is such a cnut. 10 minutes ago we had the clearest of clear penalties not given when a Bournemouth player went in late and stood on Gallagher's outstretched foot. VAR didn't bother reviewing it.

Doesn't change the fact that if they won their last two games they'd be in the champions league. Even Pep said the City players were nervous and that it was a tight game. If Spurs had actually bothered and the atmosphere had been right they could have got top 4, but laughing about Arsenal was more important (who ironically aren't beating Everton anyway  ). Joke of a club

Mateta really making the most of the whole striker confidence thing. 2 goals before February. Has 16 now in the league.

It’s the fans who negatively affected their chances by actively routing against their own team with a CL place at stake.

If they had created a thunderous atmosphere, they could well be qualified right now. What Arsenal were doing mattered more than their own team’s future. That’s the issue.

Doesn't change the fact that two wins would have seen you through. It was in your hands. The mentality has to change with your fans, the manager said it and now the fans have to acknowledge it (and what Jose and Conte also said).

Do you think that his reaction when Son was through on goal, when they played Spurs was false emotion?

Who said it changes that fact? Man City last lost in the league on 6th December. They've only drawn I think 3 games in the league since then. In fact, they've lost 4 games in total all season.

They've done what they've done in every single one of the last 7 seasons, which is have an essentially unbeatable second half of the season.

Its completely delusional to think that if the players just turned up (as if they didn't) and the fans were a bit louder, we'd have just pushed City aside.

I wonder if there are any City fans who are genuinely embarrassed by the lack of atmosphere at the Emptihad?

Arsenal really can’t figure out how to break Everton down again, despite seeing how to do it earlier with their equalizer.
