Was a dive though, should have been booked really.
It’s not a dive, he’s playing for it, but there is clear contact. I’d say it’s more like when a defender is shepherding the ball out and they get a slight touch from the attacker to win a free kick from deep in their own half. Never a pen, but not a dive per se

So all of United. Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs drop points.

Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea draw and we fail to beat Southampton. Ffs. Gonna be one of those seasons where we fail to capitalise on our rivals dropped points.

I know we got a terrible player in Sanchez but Miki is just as bad. Completely killed the left wing after coming on.

He literally jumped back into Sokratis and fell to the ground. It was a clear dive. "Contact" doesn't make it not a dive.

Liverpool, a much better team than us, struggled to win at soton. They're a decent side.

Apologies if that's the case, I remember you being involved in that thread where I was getting grief left right and centre for suggesting that perhaps Pepe wasn't worth £72m and that the hype about him on this thread in the summer was ridiculous.

Doubt many would swap him for James now.
No need to apologize. Discussions are in good fun anyway. This isn't surprising, I watched a video of his arrival and intro to Arsenal (ITWs and what not)
Pepe looked shy and a bit scared, if he makes the step up, it will take him a long long time IMHO. Looks to be too much for him already ( Starts vs Spurs and Liverpool)

They seemed to glaze over Sokratis bundling Kane over and then holding him down.

Yeah it wasn't the hardest contact ever, but you can't just shove someone over!

A good point for Spurs. We've now already played 2 of the toughest away games we'll have this season and not lost either one.

It was a great game to watch and either team could have won (e.g. Kane's great strike that hit the post).

Mikhi is pretty bad, it's just in comparison to Sanchez he looks okay.

Pepe had nice twists and feints, but no real end product at all.

Good game though. Very enjoyable watch. No idea why Spurs didn't bring on Moura, he's made for a counter attack game like this.

Arsenal would have won if Lacazette didnt get hurt and come off for Mkhi. Mkhi handicapped them.

What does Poch have against Moura? Is he not fit? Its odd.

It’s weird how Neville and co are giving Pepe a free ride, his end product has been poor and he is all left foot. He cost £72m ffs.
Neville is always biased in favour of foreigners. If Pepe was English, he'd have been crucified.

Such a shame Laca had to go off. Sanchez was getting destroyed today and we gift him Mkhi.

Unbelievably poor. Stupid tactics, individually stupid decisions from our players.

The front three are going to be wasted by this manager.

Not good enough. He started vs Newcastle last week and look bad. Spurs squad is very overrated. Maybe it is even Pochettino punishing him for missing that easy chance last week. However, when all is said and done, Moura is not good enough to start for a top team. However, it can be said that Spurs is not a top team .

This draw just goes to show that top 4 will be very close again. Arsenal, barring their two main CFs are a very average side. Unless Tierney and Ceballos can have a huge impact they'll be very inconstent this season. Chelsea have more verve about them but little experience. And we're all over the place.

Spurs will be fine again IMO. They've better managed than the rest.

Also, how average was Pepe? He's good in tight spaces but seems to want to play the game at a walking pace and his passing/decision making and cutting edgeedg key moments has been severely lacking.

Nelson should've played instead of Mkhi, he's where attacks go to die.

After being 2 goals down it's a decent result, but I think we did enough in the second half to win it.

I know Sanchez was possibly the worst signing ever, but at least you managed to get rid of Mhiki. Christ he’s dire, I hate seeing him play.

it's definitely a dive, he put his body in an natural position to simulate bigger contact than there was. He's trying to con the ref into a pen.

Kane stepped in front of Sokratis and dived deliberately to trip Sokratis on top of him. He did similar last week against Newcastle, although this was worse.

Your on a United-Like run

Haven’t you only won a few games in the league since like last March or something?

Title challenge over for both clubs anyway, a few weeks into the season and top 4 is yet again the goal which is really fecking sad in all honesty (for both clubs and Chelsea)

It's currently impossible for Spurs to compete for the title given City's spending over the last several seasons. Our aim realistically is to finish in the top 4, see what happens in the CL and try and win a trophy other than the league title.
