Biggest spongersOk. So the Queen is gone, and good riddance, don't you think it's time to get rid of the fecking monarchy? What is this, the Middle Ages?

I more mean on a political level. She doesn’t do anything regarding the running of the country in any real sense. She’s a ceremonial figurehead who will be replaced in a few days. This is pretty much it for me.
On a human level, I feel sad for her family, because losing a loved one is absolutely rubbish. Can't take that away from them, no matter who it is or however old they are. Yes, a person has lived a long life, but I fully appreciate how sad or difficult it can be to know that somebody is not there anymore, when all you've ever known is for them to have been there. That's tough.
But that's as far as I go with it and that's the only level I see this on.
American coverage will be insufferableYou think so? I think the American press will beg to differ.
I vote for this. Though not from UK.Use Kate in stead.
I agree with you both ways.I more mean on a political level. She doesn’t do anything regarding the running of the country in any real sense. She’s a ceremonial figurehead who will be replaced in a few days.
They also both used to wear tights.Second longest reign in history (behind Louis XIV) apparently.
First post I ever reported. But I'm pretty avid about my right to not mourn a racist old monarch hag.feck sake. What an appalling post.
I hope someone bans this bastard.
I agree on your point too. A sad moment for her family and the people that are invested in her but I’ll be doing my best to avoid all the drama around from here on out.I agree with you both ways.
I mean I mostly agree with you here, but there's a time and place for itFirst post I ever reported. But I'm pretty avid about my right to not mourn a racist old monarch hag.
You're well within your rights not to mourn her. Doesn't mean you should be posting shite like that.First post I ever reported. But I'm pretty avid about my right to not mourn a racist old monarch hag.
TrueBetter representative of our country than any prime minister in my lifetime. Rest in peace.
Well I've reported you for mocking a death.First post I ever reported. But I'm pretty avid about my right to not mourn a racist old monarch hag.
This is the StrawYou can't think of anything that's happened in the last few months that would make you worried more than the fecking Queen passing away?
Yeah and it's here and now.I mean I mostly agree with you here, but there's a time and place for it
I don't think she'll even surpass Princess Diana in public interest.Huge moment for the nation. The world really. I know we all joke but this will be remembered as one of the most important moments in the 21st Century
He didn't actually mock a death at all.Well I've reported you for mocking a death.
Surely now is perfect?I mean I mostly agree with you here, but there's a time and place for it
Well I don't care, fire away, but obviously people feel offendedSurely now is perfect?
Sorry for your loss, Charles.Well I've reported you for mocking a death.
Have to be seen to be respectful or something. Can't imagine too many her are all that bothered but that the Crown thing probably endeared some to her.Christ, they're actually extending the news here in Ireland because of it. Read the room RTE you bellends.
Always sad finding out about out about you are aware of dying, but no more than any other. She had a great life and reign, was 96. What an innings. I don't feel like it's particularly sad, personally.
WTF?! Any examples of this radicalism?I always knew this place was quite strongly left leaning, but I didnt realise just how radical a lot these folk truly are. Makes me question some of the other views etc I have seen on here over the years.
Cant say I am particularly pro or anti the monarchy, but the Queen was an institution on a global level, and a constant in the lives of virtually everyone in the country. RIP.
Sorry for your loss, Charles.
Salt and pepper have been a constant in the lives of everyone in the country. There's nothing really special about something being a constant. That seems like a very weird thing to elevate and give status to.I always knew this place was quite strongly left leaning, but I didnt realise just how radical a lot these folk truly are. Makes me question some of the other views etc I have seen on here over the years.

Yeah I agree. It’s a bit weird imo.I always knew this place was quite strongly left leaning, but I didnt realise just how radical a lot these folk truly are. Makes me question some of the other views etc I have seen on here over the years.
