Will he be a success at Chelsea?
I think he’s a great signingWill he be a success at Chelsea?
I think this is it. The numbers are very respectful but he passes up a lot of guilty edged chances, some of them quite costly, and I think that probably sticks in the minds of most.City create a lot of chances compared to Chelsea so it's hard to say.
However his stats since 17/18 are very similar to that of Mane in the prem.
Quality player that I think gets overlooked because he's missed a few high profile sitters.
Our team creates a lot of chances. We just don’t convert them. We never, never should have got rid of Giroud. He was quality. I am hopeful this works out, but there is more needed.City create a lot of chances compared to Chelsea so it's hard to say.

I think you are going to get more since you’re linked with more than a few players. It looks like City,Lfc, and Chelsea are going to be head and shoulders above the rest this season. Our team creates a lot of chances. We just don’t convert them. Has he really though? The appearances look many but the amount of minutes played under pep can't be too bad. Pep rotates a lot. I saw that Sterling played 47 games last season only 32 were starts. There was a time where he also used to share minutes with sane.Sterling is a top player he just has played an insane amount of career first team football for someone his age and also plays the position where player performance tends to decline the earliest age wise.
Essentially, you couldn't possibly design a better case for a player more likely to fall off at an early age. I can see him having one more very good year but that he'll quickly turn into an overpaid problem for Chelsea, especially if they give him a five year deal at more than 300k per week as reported.
IMO, City have played a blinder overall with the player - they bought him from a rival who didn't want to lose him, got seven peak years of top level performance, and now are selling him for roughly the same amount to another rival willing to pay him huge money for his likely decline years.
Last year of his contract, I thinkHow have Chelsea got Sterling for 45 mil from another premier league club while Ajax are trying to get 60+ for Antony. Normally just being in the same league as someone your buying of automatically puts the price up by a lot.
In the last 2 seasons he's been rotated more. First 3-4 seasons, he was definitely up there minutes wise.Has he really though? I think that his work off the ball is invaluable and his movement off the ball is a big part of the reason they create many chances.City create a lot of chances compared to Chelsea so it's hard to say.

He started playing first team football very early, has rarely been injured, and City tends to go deep into most competitions so even with rotation he is playing a lot of minutes each year. Sterling has played about 34000 career minutes of first team club football, which is a huge number for a 27-year-old. Sadio Mane and Heung-Min Son have played about the same number of minutes and both are 30. Jack Grealish is less than a year younger than Sterling and has played about 21000 career minutes of first team football. Sterling is a significant outlier in terms of minutes played for his age.Has he really though? The appearances look many but the amount of minutes played under pep can't be too bad. In PL there was only 2-3 teams who can go for him. City won't sell him to ManUtd or Liverpool, so only left with Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal. For the price I am surprised nobody else is in for him. He's a great player
He doesn't half miss a lot of chances. I mean a LOT of chances. But the rest of his game is actually quite dangerous so others will score while he's causing mayhem. Net result is he will improve Chelsea. On the flip side he won't be putting away the crucial one on one chances that decide trophies. Will he be a success at Chelsea?
I think he’ll do well, and once he begins hitting his decline he’ll be moved on to ArsenalWill he be a success at Chelsea?
That’s last season‘s horrendous shirt. Thankfully never to be seen again.Shit looking shirt, but excellent player.
i just checked your new home kit. It looks nice, but can't understand the number design, that reminds me of sonic the hedgehog. That’s last season‘s horrendous shirt. Thankfully never to be seen again.
Also Mane is in his 30s.He's costing 15m more than Mane who's easily a better player.
I would say he's overpriced mainly because he's English and moving to another PL team.
I came to stay the same thing. Couldn't make this shite up.Utd fan who's now played for Pool, City and Chelsea
Anelka played for Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, City too but that was before their Abu Dhabi era.I came to stay the same thing. Couldn't make this shite up.
That said, any other player play for 3 top clubs like that?
I suppose City and Chelsea have only "recently" became top clubs, but in its equivalent over the years in the PL.
Kolo Toure in recent memory. That said, any other player play for 3 top clubs like that?

67.2 xG vs 89 xG for City and Pool, so it's not even close. Our team creates a lot of chances. We just don’t convert them. We never, never should have got rid of Giroud. He was quality. I am hopeful this works out, but there is more needed.
If Sadio Mané too was 27 years old like Raheem Sterling is, there's literally no chance he'd go for as cheap as he did no matter the contract situation. He's costing 15m more than Mane who's easily a better player.
