Yep, only essential workers allowed to travel to work or those who can't work from homeSurely its only key workers though?
Just avoid the 12" Covid special with free Corona beerWhats the chances of picking up this virus from a pizza take away? I am afraid someone infected will breathe on the pizza and then pass it on to me when i eat the pizza. Should i just cook my own food at home?
I would personally, fast food is bad enough but with the added potential of being infected it's too much of a risk.Whats the chances of picking up this virus from a pizza take away? I'm looking now, it seems that it won't be. Her bosses are saying they are still open as they can work 2m apart. They can't now. It all stops tomorrow.
Not enough officers to do that and daily businessNot serve in them but control how many people are allowed in (and potentially enforce any limits to stop panic buying) and ensuring the people outside observe social distancing
Yeah, watching the difference between our presidents statement and UK's one.It was funny, like they need to be spoken to like little children over there.
It's only those who can't work from home I think. That and essential workers.I'm looking now, it seems that it won't be. Her bosses are saying they are still open as they can work 2m apart.
Currently it looks like building sites will still be open too.
And the government site currently says still travel to and from work if you can't possibly work from home, but feck knows if that's updated yet...
Electronics shops have been closed.Expect to see a shortage of hair clippers in the shops. And wigs.
We are also in lockdown starting from today for 1 week but it will get extended without a doubt. First two patients popped up todayYeah, watching the difference between our presidents statement and UK's one.It was funny, like they need to be spoken to like little children over there.
That's what I'm saying. Already people in here are saying all but essential, there's so much confusion right now. It's only those who can't work from home I think. That and essential workers.
I'm curious, i cycle regularly and even i'm confused as to what constitutes once per day....a 6hr bike ride? So many loopholes i can find already.Definitely. Was looking to see if dog walking was included and saw a bunch of people on social media saying they'll still walk the dog two to six times a day. Some quotes:
Weeks ago?I have no idea why these measures weren't put in place weeks ago. The faffing around has been ridiculous. We all knew it was coming to this anyway. It would've been nice if the government were proactive.
Apparently he’s quite vulnerable. When his neighbour kicked the shit out of him a few years ago they had to remove some of his lung. You just hate to see it, he’s such a positive force in American politics.Tweet

That's the problem, it's too vague. My friend works for British Steel and has no idea wheter it applies to him or not. That's what I'm saying. Already people in here are saying all but essential, there's so much confusion right now.
So basically, for example, builders will still be going in.
Didnt they announce that all mortgages/rent being suspended and that the Govt are covering upto £2,500 a month? The package seemed to be a pretty good one.So you can't go to work? I'm self employed. What am I supposed to live on for 3 weeks?

The NPHET are meeting tomorrow and say all measures will be considered. It may be that they recommend immediately implementing similar measures but I'd be surprised, especially given the way Varadkar was playing down talk of a lockdown earlier.Hopefully ireland does the same although the place was a ghostland today when i went out shopping for food. Aldi was practically empty.
Way I see it is you can't win either way.Whats the chances of picking up this virus from a pizza take away? I am afraid someone infected will breathe on the pizza and then pass it on to me when i eat the pizza. Should i just cook my own food at home?
That's just crazy. We are actually in danger of having half our stuff in one house and the rest in the other one. And paying double rent...They’ve had the keys to their new place, but will struggle to get their furniture from their rental to their new house!
No self employed have to go on benefits, which can take up to 5 weeks.Didnt they announce that all mortgages/rent being suspended and that the Govt are covering upto £2,500 a month? The package seemed to be a pretty good one.
Yea i will just cook the frozen pizzas instead.I would personally, fast food is bad enough but with the added potential of being infected it's too much of a risk.
That is for employed workers only. Self-employed still left in the dark. Assuming its taking longer to sort something due to the increased complexities.Didnt they announce that all mortgages/rent being suspended and that the Govt are covering upto £2,500 a month? The package seemed to be a pretty good one.
We are sort of in a partial lockdown. Places were empty today. Funny there was a que on mcdonalds before it closes. The NPHET are meeting tomorrow and say all measures will be considered. It may be that they recommend immediately implementing similar measures but I'd be surprised, especially given the way Varadkar was playing down talk of a lockdown earlier.
The reality is that we're in quite a different place to the UK in terms of our strategy in dealing with the virus, so it would hardly be surprising if we don't take similar action right now.
Seems like he's trying damage limitation and turning the argument round.Tweet

Apparently it's been rounded to one hour of brisk exercise but can't remember him saying that.I'm curious, i cycle regularly and even i'm confused as to what constitutes once per day....a 6hr bike ride? So many loopholes i can find already.
Sure I heard virus can stay on cardboard for a day.Whats the chances of picking up this virus from a pizza take away? I am afraid someone infected will breathe on the pizza and then pass it on to me when i eat the pizza. Should i just cook my own food at home?
Yeah, that’s right.Sure I heard virus can stay on cardboard for a day.
Think it was Gogglebox.
I am going to get a max one delivery per month and I am going to wipe it all down in the porch before I bring it in. Cardboard can stay outsideWay I see it is you can't win either way.
Going to the supermarkets or even getting a home delivery still carries the risk of transmission.
The official guidelines will slightly differ from what he said presumably.Apparently it's been rounded to one hour of brisk exercise but can't remember him saying that.
They won't be. Essential work only. I guess they'll clarify it tomorrow like they did with the schools?I have to move out of rented accommodation this weekend to a new place. I assume I’ll be allowed to do that..I hope taxis are still available...
It’s the right decision and there’s not really much else to do without going full dystopian movie. Construction workers need to be told to stop working though. It's not. You will get in trouble if you are in groups that are not your household.
