I'm torn between the fact that, ideally, he'd rather stay at Juve and he'd see us as the next best option (and a way to get a bumper paypacket) and the fact that he's a brilliant player and maybe it might work out. I mean, if we keep throwing darts, surely we'll hit the bullseye sometime.
Yes, my sentiments are very similar. Reading the article in The Athletic today about how Solskjær has screened his signings, was very impressive though. Ultimately he will be judged on results, but for my money he is actively doing everything the right way, with the right mentality. A mentality that gives us the best possible platform for success. Whether he is the man to build on it, time will tell. But for the first time in a long time I feel like the club has a clear direction, philosophy and goal that is congruous with what we fans have come to expect in better times. I believe he is restoring the pride for playing for Manchester United.
Having talented players who are willing to give 100% all the time, and are excited to be here, are the ONLY sort of players we should be signing. And as much as my inner muppet, fantasist, and FM groupie wants us to sign an enigmatic player like Dybala; I think it’s wise for us to steer clear. He has Di Maria vibes all over him.
