Maybe he's hoping that the inquiry will find that he was still somehow "technically" within guidelines? We need an inquiry to find out if the PM attended a party?
Either that or hoping that by the time the enquiry comes out something else has happened to divert attention (though that seems unlikely at the moment)Maybe he's hoping that the inquiry will find that he was still somehow "technically" within guidelines?
Oh, without a doubt. Or maybe we'll all get free hats or something? Totally not a bribe or anything like that...Either that or hoping that by the time the enquiry comes out something else has happened to divert attention (though that seems unlikely at the moment)
short of war with France I'm not sure what options he has to distract?Oh, without a doubt. Or maybe we'll all get free hats or something? Totally not a bribe or anything like that...
He absolutely would.short of war with France I'm not sure what options he has to distract?
I mean he wouldnt.... would he?
I mean couldn't ... because obviously he would if he could
Most Tory voters would still vote for him. He could stand in front of number 10 and shoot someone and the Tory voters would still find a way to excuse his behaviour.theres still plenty of people who think boris has done his best, and cant fathom that he really doesnt give a shit about the proles. or they dont see themselves as part of the proles, so they dont give a toss that he upsets them. hes got brexit done hasnt he. and hes not a communist. or brown. or kwasi kwarteng.
True, the way people talk about him is often far more endearing than it ought to be. I suspect people buy into the chummy image he's created even in spite of these fiascos. Most Tory voters would still vote for him. He could stand in front of number 10 and shoot someone and the Tory voters would still find a way to excuse his behaviour.
Nothing will come of this enquiry, he will be found not breaking any rules and he will stand up in Parliament with his smirk and say “I told you so”
HE. WAS. AT. THE. CNUTING. PARTY.Senior Tory Christopher Chope told the same programme he had "never heard such an abject apology" during his long years in Parliament, and he believed it was "genuinely sincere".
He said: "I think the prime minister showed contrition and had realised he had done the wrong thing in not intervening at the time.
I'm waiting for the Daily Mail to release a video of Boris dancing on a marquee in the garden, topless, with a karaoke mic singing "Feck the Police".I look forward to forgetting all about this by next weekend, along with the rest of the UK.
Sounds familiar. Most Tory voters would still vote for him. He could stand in front of number 10 and shoot someone and the Tory voters would still find a way to excuse his behaviour.

Scum Media was trending when the story broke and the comments from people were we don’t care about wallpapers and parties, the press are focusing on the wrong thing. It’s a cult just as they were for Trump. Most Tory voters would still vote for him. He could stand in front of number 10 and shoot someone and the Tory voters would still find a way to excuse his behaviour.

That cnut is mired in sleaze just like the rest of them. Beats me how anyone can think he'd be an improvement.Staying well clear

The real problem was that he got caught out to the degree that he could no longer deny it. And in reality, that was what he was apologising for.HE. WAS. AT. THE. CNUTING. PARTY.
The problem isn't that he didn't stop it. The problem is that he joined it, and then lied about there being any parties when asked by journalists at a later date.
The way his party always try to change the narrative is a total piss take. And all the shite about how it's only fair to wait for the "independent" inquiry would hold more weight if others hadn't walked for doing the same thing that Boris did.

I'll give you one guess! The real problem was that he got caught out to the degree that he could no longer deny it. And in reality, that was what he was apologising for.
If he was really sorry, then why wait until now.
We've had a Conservative government for 11 years would be a rational counter point to that. There has been a conservative majority for 4 of the last 25 years would be their argument I would guess?
It would also hold more weight if the last person appointed to investigate the parties wasn’t found to be also partying. The way his party always try to change the narrative is a total piss take. And all the shite about how it's only fair to wait for the "independent" inquiry would hold more weight if others hadn't walked for doing the same thing that Boris did.
Probably a combination of the party and Dominic Cummings. I heard on the radio the other day that there is another hour (or more) of footage from the mock q&a from the briefing from that the media are sitting on and I would guess that the same goes with the downing street parties plus whatever other dirt they have on him....I expect Boris will cling on but it is getting pretty bad for him.
Makes me wonder though, who is leaking all of this stuff in such a gradual and damaging way? Is it the “‘men in grey suits” from his own party trying to get rid of him? Or is this Dom’s revenge? Or just the woke snowflake media?
Yeah I suspect this isnt over. Please dont make me pick a side between Boris and Dom..Probably a combination of the party and Dominic Cummings. it's amazing isn't it? Made even better that the current person leading the investigation was instructing her staff on how to avoid Freedom of Information requests and instructs people to double delete things, also not keeping a record of what she has deleted as per guidance. It would also hold more weight if the last person appointed to investigate the parties wasn’t found to be also partying.
