As bad as it all is and most likely everything will get worse by the time a GE is called, Tories will still win.Guardian mentioned an observer poll where the country still trusts Rishi over Starmer for handling the economy. If that's true then I fully expect this electorate to bottle it at the next election and keep these cretins in.
It wouldnt shock me in the slightest. As bad as it all is and most likely everything will get worse by the time a GE is called, Tories will still win.
+Yep. If you read the comment sections in the DM/Tel, they're all saying it's still better than Sangatte, they should be grateful etc...It's also remarkable how people think the overspill hotels used by the immigration are like the Ritz, not horrible scummy hellholes.
They will announce something in the lead up to the GE which they will then do a uturn on after they win.It wouldnt shock me in the slightest.
Or Starmer will just eat a bacon sandwichThey will announce something in the lead up to the GE which they will then do a uturn on after they win.
And Tories ratings will go +15Or Starmer will just eat a bacon sandwich
That just looks dull and functional, used by salesmen and people at shite conferences up and down the country.
My boss used to stay there when he came over from Holland every quarter. Dull and functional is right. The thing is it is not purposed to house asylum seekers so inevitably there will be issues. That just looks dull and functional, used by salesmen and people at shite conferences up and down the country.
One of the key reasons for needing to use hotels is obviously the lack of adequate facilities for asylum seekers/migrants too.
Point one, yes you are a champagne socialist or riddled with envy.So basically you're either a champagne socialist if you have money yourself or you are envious if you don't have the money?
Most of Sunak's money is from his wife (or to be accurate, his wife's dad) and she very pointedly did not pay the appropriate tax on it.
Starmer also isn't a career politician, for all of his other faults.
Can't tell if I've been hooked like a kipper or you're just genuinely reeling off these soundbites.
Or a dislike of Liz Truss specifically.
True. The big issue the tories have is they’ve reached the limits of Thatcher economic policy. The only people left to go after now is their own voters(mortgage holders).Or a dislike of Liz Truss specifically.
This is the new leader temporary bounce. They'll have to ask again after the Tories impose Austerity Mark 2 and more scandals come out.
No helping you lad.Point one, yes you are a champagne socialist or riddled with envy.
Point two. Sunak‘s parents saved up to send him to a public school as the state schools (under Labour) were crap. He was a millionaire in his twenties as he was a partner in two successful hedge funds like it or not they are not illegal, maybe immoral, but he worked for it. He and his wife, according to the Sunday Times rich list are worth £770m, not quite a billion. Her Dad , however, is a multi billionaire which is not Sunday’s fault. As for ‘pointedly’ not paid taxes, how do you know? She may have paid taxes abroad and has committed to pay any UK tax which she is liable for. Do you know Burgon’s tax history? Has Tony Blair paid UK tax on his £50m fortune? No, you don’t know and neither do I. Check your facts before you slag peope off. It’s the ‘Angela Rayner effect’. When the Stockport siren was doing her usual Tory scum/sleeze act in Parliament (classy) criticising donations to a particular member, she hadn’t checked her figures and it turned out that she had received four times the amount of donations that the whole Tory party in a three month period.
Carder politician, if Sir Kier isn’t a career politician, what he in it for? His parents were staunched Labour supporters. Sir Kier is now banging on with his nodding head about Sunak not going to the COP meeting, you know the one where thou of delegates fly into some capital city, get limos to ai conditioned hotels and spend days and millions telling the rest of the world how bad it is to fly thousands of people thousands of miles. If Sunak was going, no doubt Sir Kier would ask why he was going when the Country was in a cost of living and energy crisis. It’s called politics, you can’t win. Neither can I or anyone else on this thread. I have lived through many Governments and none of them were perfect.
I think it will be tax rises (on middle earners) and falling house prices that finish them off. If I were them I'd consider calling an election now, not that Sunak would risk being able to play the boss of course.Or a dislike of Liz Truss specifically.
This is the new leader temporary bounce. They'll have to ask again after the Tories impose Austerity Mark 2 and more scandals come out.
It's hard to imagine change, but it happens nonetheless. And yeah, it's going to get badder. As bad as it all is and most likely everything will get worse by the time a GE is called, Tories will still win.
The entire time Sunak was at school we had a tory government, you're aware of that right?Sunak‘s parents saved up to send him to a public school as the state schools (under Labour) were crap.
It’s painful isn’t it? People are so poorly informed, they spend their entire lives blaming Labour for things the Tories have done. The entire time Sunak was at school we had a tory government, you're aware of that right?
I respect her a tiny bit now due to her stance on mayonnaise. Awful shit.
Remember when that volcano in Iceland erupted and sent a cloud of ash over the UK? That was the same year (2010) when Labour was defeated. Lady Gaga also had the hit single Bad Romance. Mass Effects 2 was released in 2010. It's been 12 years, TWELVE years and still dumbass people complain about the woes of today on Labour. fecking imbeciles. It’s painful isn’t it? Truss was doing it during her leadership campaign.
Technically not true, in his last couple of years Labour were in power but they were out of power for 18 years before 1997. Claiming that his schooling was Labour's fault is completely ludicrous however, the Tories had actually held power for the longest period in modern British political history before Tony Blair won in 1997. They were as responsible as any party could be for the state of the schooling system. The entire time Sunak was at school we had a tory government, you're aware of that right?
I was on holiday in Gran Canaria. We were basically the last flight home before they started extending people’s holidays free of chargeRemember when that volcano in Iceland erupted and sent a cloud of ash over the UK? That was your take from the article? Not surprised that the guardian thinks racism is acceptable against certain groups

Thatcherism....if it doesn't work, you've got to double down and just do things "harder" and make more people suffer. Because the ideology itself is certainly not to blame. In fact if things are going wrong, that probably means you're on the right trackTweet

Not sure of this is true, if it is I certainly haven't heard of it, Angela Rayner receives 4x more cash in donations than the whole Tory party? It’s the ‘Angela Rayner effect’. Isn't it more of a hate crime than terrorist attack?Whys the Dover attack not being treated as terrorism?
Attacker was wrong colour/religion to be a terrorist.Whys the Dover attack not being treated as terrorism?
