I'm annoyed by this idea. My view on him is that he doesn't, in fact, have huge potential. He has a certain potential of course, but his attitude and immaturity has led to an easy narrative for fans and press to say 'he's potential world class but wasting it' and so on. I honestly don't believe he is, he scores some incredible goals now and again but he'll be at the very best a decent striker.

This is just my opinion, but I was annoyed by the wording of your sentence that was that everyone basically has to accept the guy has huge potential. It's pretty easy to argue otherwise.
Ok but he has talent that not a lot of PL strikers possess. His attitude has held him back. He's relatively cheap so not the biggest gamble.

It is more the disruption he could cause in the dressing room that would concern me.

Have to say I agree. His goal scoring record is nothing special, when you take away penalties you might say underwhelming. He's nothing special on the ball either, he's not got great link up play, not great hold up play, he's not creative. He's fairly quick, not lightning fast though, he's got some nice skill to beat a man to get a shot away, but that's about it.

A goal every 140 minutes.

"Stoke" is almost a by-word for embarrassment on Sky Sports News Transfer Deadline Day™ but I think the Scousers are worse when the cameras are about. Much worse.

Just look at the state of that cnut above.

Jesus wept!

Baotelli is about as good as it gets in terms of available strikers, he's younger than both falcao and Cavani, a lot cheaper and will guarantee us 25+ goals a season, i could see him turning out better than suarez, he's more talented than luis was at his age.
From Twitter, not RAWK, but my goodness.

Edit: Not from Twitter, Facebook.

Balotelli was popular in the City dressing room. It's a nice narrative for the press that he disrupted the dressing room but it is far from the truth. Perhaps, Mancini's pandering to him could have caused friction at some point but nothing serious and I can't see Rodgers being as indulgent anyway.

I might be wrong but I don't think he's ever got over 20 goals in a season (not including friendlies).
He's never had a great opportunity to do so. At City he was never first choice for a full season and at Milan he's been surrounded by shite. In an attacking team like ours I think he can get near 20 assuming he plays 40 or so games.

Didn't he almost get into a punch up with Mancini?

A punch up? Again, a dispute blown way out of proportion. Besides, I don't see why it would disrupt the dressing room. As I said, Balotelli is well regarded at City by his ex-team mates

Zabaleta, who captained City against Liverpool on Sunday, said the striker is already missed.

"Life is a bit different, Mario is a great lad and we're missing him the last three days," he said.

"The dressing room is not the same, with him there's always something to laugh at."

Just one of several interviews by various City players concerning Balotelli following his departure from the club. He was a popular figure. The main thing they stress is that he is fundamentally a really nice person.

Even though he will probably score against us in the future I am delighted he is going to the dippers. He will upset a lot of people but most importantly Sturridge. He wont want to be shifted out to the wings again and Brenda wont change his formation or philosophy.

What are you sticking up for him for? Does it matter if he is a dressing room disruption or one of the lads? Him and Raiola still engineer a move every 2 or 3 seasons so you cant really build a team or future around him can you?
Firstly, I'm a City fan. Secondly, I was simply disputing the newspaper narrative that he is a disrupting figure in the dressing room.

I know you are a city fan. I think its clear that regardless of him being a dressing room cancer or not he is still an unsettled figure who you cant trust to behave nor stay around for long. LFC supporters should be wary of him and the potential damage he could do to that squad especially Sturridge.

He's not done any damage to City or Milan's team. His personality is so exaggerated. He's a football player at the end of the day. If he's a success or failure it will have the exact same effect on Liverpool as if they went and spent £16m on any other striker. Plus, his reputation will ensure no matter what they're pretty much guaranteed a sizeable chunk of his transfer fee back.

Yeah whatever, he wont impact Liverpool negatively at all then. We shall have to wait and see wont we?

They're all trying to convince themselves that Di Maria would be a bit of a pointless signing for us. Also, this made me laugh:
Have they started to downplay Di Maria's ability though? That would be hilarious

I love laughing at the scousers as much as anyone but the performance of some of our posters in the transfer forum leaves a lot to be desired.

I've now read at least 3 poems ( yes fecking poems!) written to our potential transfer targets. Think about that for a second.... Grown men, sat at their computers, writing poems to a man who will never read them....

Sort it out.
