Ok but he has talent that not a lot of PL strikers possess. His attitude has held him back. He's relatively cheap so not the biggest gamble.
It is more the disruption he could cause in the dressing room that would concern me.
Have to say I agree. His goal scoring record is nothing special, when you take away penalties you might say underwhelming. He's nothing special on the ball either, he's not got great link up play, not great hold up play, he's not creative. He's fairly quick, not lightning fast though, he's got some nice skill to beat a man to get a shot away, but that's about it.
A goal every 140 minutes.

Balotelli was popular in the City dressing room. It's a nice narrative for the press that he disrupted the dressing room but it is far from the truth. Perhaps, Mancini's pandering to him could have caused friction at some point but nothing serious and I can't see Rodgers being as indulgent anyway.
Balotelli will not score 25 goals or anything like it.

He's never had a great opportunity to do so. At City he was never first choice for a full season and at Milan he's been surrounded by shite. In an attacking team like ours I think he can get near 20 assuming he plays 40 or so games.
A punch up? Again, a dispute blown way out of proportion. Besides, I don't see why it would disrupt the dressing room. As I said, Balotelli is well regarded at City by his ex-team matesDidn't he almost get into a punch up with Mancini?

What are you sticking up for him for? Does it matter if he is a dressing room disruption or one of the lads? Him and Raiola still engineer a move every 2 or 3 seasons so you cant really build a team or future around him can you?
Firstly, I'm a City fan. Secondly, I was simply disputing the newspaper narrative that he is a disrupting figure in the dressing room.
I know you are a city fan. I think its clear that regardless of him being a dressing room cancer or not he is still an unsettled figure who you cant trust to behave nor stay around for long. LFC supporters should be wary of him and the potential damage he could do to that squad especially Sturridge.
He's not done any damage to City or Milan's team. His personality is so exaggerated. He's a football player at the end of the day. If he's a success or failure it will have the exact same effect on Liverpool as if they went and spent £16m on any other striker. Plus, his reputation will ensure no matter what they're pretty much guaranteed a sizeable chunk of his transfer fee back.
