@Edgar Allan Pillow did we decide on a kick off time? I'm having issues with my laptop and want to wipe and reinstall the OS. Will take me an hour or so and I don't want to come back and find anto has had 40 unopposed minutes to paint my players as puppy murderers who once lost a game of 5 a side to Luke Chadwick and his nan.

If we're starting before 2:30 let me know!

Can somebody give an update on the breakdown in the Anto/Diarm game thread?
Anto wasn't a fan of diarm and his comments he thought were bs and downplaying the difference in quality between nordahl and campbell/Neville etc.

Said he could have the win and this is why he didn't take part in drafts anymore because people were just talking smack about players and not being truthful.

Asked for a ban.

They were both being obnoxious to each other and it broke down little by little

So Antohan got Antohand by Diarm and requested for his own ban? Wasn't he caught cheating? Thought that was why he asked for the ban. But it seems like he's unbanned already?

I don't know where people get this ban thing from. He clearly isn't banned.

What he told me was that he was going on vacation.

Ah, I see. Well, I don't know anything about that. Seems he wasn't asking too adamantly, at any rate. Heat of the moment and all that.
Oh I don't put much stock into what people say in drafts. You get invested in your team and players, try and get your points across and it's frustrating when you feel things are falling on deaf ears, or you feel people are purposely being obtuse.

All water under the bridge...or at least it should be. This draft in particular seems to be bringing out the anger in people  typical of an @Edgar Allan Pillow creation :p

Typical Anto tantrum when people don't see things his way.

- Openly admits to using dishonest arguments in past drafts, but throws his toys out of the pram when he thinks anyone else is doing the same (which is whenever anyone disagree with him).

- Tries every dirty trick in the book to win a game, including PM'ing members to vote, then claims he never cared in the first place.

- "Congratulates" his opponent at the end by saying Diarm "clearly wanted it badly" and he anyway had no interest in carrying on.

Amazed so many on here still humour him. Some good insight aside, he always gets too invested in these drafts and ends up going off the deep end more often than not.

We need an Anto vs Berbasloth draft game: it would break the internet!

On the plus side, the passion and meltdowns are great viewing for the neutral.

Yup. A shame, when he manages to remain unbiased as a voter he's a great asset but even as a voter he often takes side or goes way too far and spams 50 posts about why he's right and you're wrong. I stopped playing these drafts after his stunt in the British/Irish draft and after his ban I was actually looking forward to playing these again, but it turns out he isn't banned.

I know there are people who love the drama and complete bullshit he adds, but I'm not one of them. Voting against people to create drama - then blame them - then admit to it. Constant personal insults. Spamming the match threads with one sided arguments. Not to mention the last game which seemed to have followed the same route. Not my cup of tea at all.

That's true. Might sound like I'm complaining but it's great entertainment. Though I can understand why it might drive away potential participants who can't be bothered to deal with all the drama.
