Pretty sure he'd have Rooney in his starting lineup.I don't think he would, because most of our young players can potentially play his style but they need to learn it:
-------------De Gea
Darmian-Smalling-newplayer-Shaw
-------Schneiderlin-B2B
Winger-------Herrera-----Memphis
-------------Martial
Who is he going to sell from them? We lack the old/leader players and he will have to create them.
He kind of adapted his system for Ozil, Ronaldo and Benzema. The one thing Mourinho never changed is his love for experienced players and grafters. The trouble is I dont know if he can adapt because he has been using the same principles and the same way of playing since he first started. If players didnt change their game to suit Mourinho then he sold them. It wasnt a case of Mourinho adapting to his squad but the other way round. One of the best examples of a very good player who couldnt adapt his game was Joe Cole. I mention this as just one example because Mourinho doesnt change to suit his players, he changes players to suit him.
Another big reason not to get Mourinho, we'd never be rid of Rooney.Pretty sure he'd have Rooney in his starting lineup.
De Bruyne and Lukaku wanted to leave. He'd most likely just sell the players who don't fit in for him - like with Mata, De Bruyne, Lukaku
Yup. Mourinho's record with youth is the biggest worry if he is appointed. That and picking up fights where there exist none. The siege mentality he tries, he goes overboard with it. SAF knew how to use the siege mentality and where to draw line. Still, when we are appointing next manager, if Pep and Ancelotti are not available and we are in need of someone with lots of experience and proven record, he has to be the choice. There are various pros and cons to Mourinho managing United. The biggest con for me is his reluctance to play youth players. I'd rather stick it with Van Gaal to be honest. At least we'd have a young-ish squad with some experience by the time he leaves.
What are you talking about? Some people "worry" about Mourinho's "negative" tactics! Have we been playing with "positive" tactics during the past 5 years? Yes, 5 years.
Some other people "worry" about youth development! Can you name ONE young player from our academies, developed by SAF, who is currently playing for us? One good player please? Nobody? Not one of Fergie's young players was good enough for Man Utd?
So... what are you talking about?

Maybe they want a manager who'd actually address those problems that they've had with current managers? Some people "worry" about Mourinho's "negative" tactics! Have we been playing with "positive" tactics during the past 5 years? Yes, 5 years.

He didn't get rid of him. He was honest to him though, and said that he will probably not play as much as he would want to (Higuain and Benzema were younger and better players than Raul at the time). It was after that conversation that Raul decided to leave as he wanted to play more. He could have stayed if he wanted to, but he preferred to leave so he could play more. Raul later said that Mourinho wanted him to stay but that he preferred to leave. There was no getting rid of anyone. He got rid of Raul @ RM.
