November 2015

He said: 'I think it is too late to come to England. I am very happy in PSG, I have my last six months and let us see what happens afterwards.

'I am enjoying it, I enjoy every day on the field. While I am playing at the top level I just want to join it and do my thing. I do not know where I will finish my career let us wait and see.'

March 2016

They will chase the Champions League until they get it - with or without me. A challenge was proposed that I wanted to take. I am now part of the club's history, individually and collectively,".

"I'm just warming up. Age is just a number. I feel young. I've never had better statistics. The Champions League was an early obsession but I became more mature. Whether I win it or not, it does not make me a better player. I'm still the same. But if I win I'd be very happy. I'm lucky to play in a fantastic club with fantastic players. Without them it is impossible to have success," said Ibrahimovic.

My understanding

IMO, he will delay his project to play in the USA for the following reasons:

- He is surprised by his current performances and now feels very confident in his ability to perform well in the EPL.
- He never says "The priority is to pursue my career with PSG".
- His children are still young and play for the PSG academy so I guess he prefers to stay in Europe!

Salary package: decisive factor

Last summer, Ibrahimovic and his agent Mino Raiola have negotiated a bumper pay rise from €800,000 (£608,000) to €1.5m a month for the final months of the deal.

Mario Gotze or him should be no-brainer. I would understand if we had to pay over 30 millions for a veteran but free deal is a gift and he surely won't be polite to his opponents like Falcao was.

No matter who will be the manager it's a be or not to be and just stand up to a problem and provide some fierce strikers, especially after such dire, passionless season.

Ibrahimovic is so wonderful and impressive at the age of 34.

2015-16 : he has scored 31 goals with PSG (all competitions) + 6 goals with Sweden in 6 matches......... 37 goals so far !!!!!!!!!

One of the top 6 scorers in Europe ATM with Aubamayeng, Suarez, Messi, Lewa and Cr7

What about Higuain or even Jonas from Benfica?

Should work great as a stop gap arrangement if we are to get rid of Rooney. Having them both would be a detriment to Martial/Rashford/Keane/Wilson.

Zlatan mentoring younger players... things will never be the same but you need kids to be tough especially in PL so United should be cool with that.

He may be even one phone call away from United if Maureen is given green light to make some initial approach for his future players.

Obviously can't believe anything that someone who calls himself LeGossip says but if there's even 1% of truth in this then Mourinho will be our manager next season.

I highly doubt anyone at the club will be actively pursuing this. I think it will be up to Jose to convince the suits to sign him, nothing more in my opinion.

I agree, as you can see from the hints i left in the post above. I only think Zlatan would consider us if he had another chance to work with Mourinho. Especially with Pep at City.

Other than that; if he really wants to try the PL i only think he'd consider Arsenal (yes, even after the "i don't do trials" history) and Chelsea with Conte (is it confirmed?) coming in.

Don't worry about Milan AC which is not in a financial & sporting situation to attract Ibra.

Every year, we have ridiculous articles saying Milan could attract Ibra.

Zlatan will end up here. I'm pretty confident we will chuck a load of money his way.

- Milan AC won't play the ECL next year.
- Berlusconi stopped large expenditures (wages, transfers) since 2011
Let's say we did sign both, how would we play it? 442? 4312? False 9? Keep in mind Griezmann is on fire as Striker right now.
Too easy to push him out on the Right.

Ibrahimovic as the main striker (No.9).

I would play Griezmann as second striker in a 4411, in that position he can play with more freedom.

New RW - New CM? - Schneiderlin - Martial
Griezmann
Ibrahimovic
Or as a wide forward in a 433:
Schneiderlin
Herrera - New CM
Griezmann - Ibrahimovic - Martial

I like both formations but the 2 man midfield would get dominated every game, we currently get bossed around with 3!

I am going back on what I said now because the 433 with Griezmann on the right looks the only way to have a secure midfield. Ibra could play a 9.5 role and let Martial and Griezmann become the forwards and our wing backs supply width?

Ibra being the link up kung fu target man, dropping off, laying it off and joining in on the attack late. It could work in lot of various ways.

I think it depends on the player next to Schneiderlin, because Herrera looks better in a midfield of 3. But with a proper midfielder it could work. Also, Griezmann defends a lot compared to Mata.

Guardiola normally plays with Vidal, Thiago, Muller, Costa, Robben, Lewandowski, and they look balanced. I guess it also depends on tactics and style of play.

Zlatan offers all that you mentioned, so he would be a great signing mainly because he ends contract. My only concern is that other teams (like PSG) are link with Lukaku who I think will be available in the summer. So at the end, Ibra would be a short term solution while other top teams sign the likes of Aubameyang, Lukaku, Dybala, etc.

IMO Griezmann is going to continue next season at Atletico, so players like Mahrez and Sane would be more realistic. I hope we can attract quality players in the summer.

I'd like to see a Midfield 3 of Herrera, Scheiderlin & André Gomes

For me that's really well balanced as all players can defend, attack, pass, be physical and all have a lot of energy.

With a Front 3 of Mahrez, Ibra/Lukaku & Martial

I think you are right about Griezmann staying but I also think Aubameyang will stay put. I reckon Sane is City bound or even Madrid/Barca/Bayern bound.

I think Mahrez would be a better fit as he has some PL experience.

If Mahrez can make Vardy look like a top BPL striker, imagine what could he potentially do with Zlatan

We do need some more bastards in the team. And if they happen to be a world class forward too...

Fair play. He's padded up his numbers enormously since he's gone to France against crappy teama. Clever move.

We have no chance getting him without Champions League football. It would be lovely though if we did and got Mourinho and Zlatan.

Nope
Psg 77 points
Monaco 52 points
So 25 points behind
Troyes 14 points
So 38 points behind
I think you meant to say Monaco are closer to the relegation zone (21points) than they are to psg
Na I did mean closer to the bottom side sadly.
Just read it on twitter ffs! Thats a strange enough stat so why fecking lie to make it sound more impressive?
