The Brown Bull
It's Coming Home.
Even Ibra wouldn't score with his head on the service we provide.Complete no brainer to sign him, especially with our effectiveness in the final third and on headers.

Based of the fact Ibra might be going to Italy? I'd say it's more likely that our board that didn't really want to bring in Schweinsteiger are not keen on paying a 35 year old 250k a week.LVG will be here next season.
How is it even being discussed? He's been the best striker in Europe this season.
Best striker this season
I agree that we should put in a great amount of effort to try getting him here, but I don't really agree that he's been the best striker in Europe this season. Don't forget that he plays in Ligue 1 either. He was a shadow of himself in the matches against City too. Suarez has definetly been the best striker in Europe this season, then you have Lewandowski, Benzema, Aubameyang. And that's without mentioning Messi and Ronaldo. How is it even being discussed? He's been the best striker in Europe this season.
This is the same forum that had a significant percentage against the idea of signing Ronaldo again so nothing here surprises me anymore.Nearly 1/3 don't want him? What the hell?
In terms of good and realistic targets, this is arguably the biggest no-brainer I've ever seen. It's not a long-term investment, but not every transfer needs to be that.
Best striker this season
1. Suarez
2. Ibra
3. Griezmann
4. Arsenal
5. Vardy

He would create money off the pitch for us also so that would help with his wages. Plus I personally think he would make us a more attractive option bringing in other signings knowing they'd play with Zlatan. Then you'd hope the younger players would learn of him whilst we move back to a title winning team.I'm not keen on us signing Ibrahimovic. I feel like we'd almost have to build the team around him in order to get the best out of him, which obviously isn't ideal for a short-term deal. There's also the risk of signing a player on the decline - Schweinsteiger and Falcao seemed appealing on the surface but neither of those signings worked out as we would've hoped.
Whilst he has many strengths, his lack of speed is an obvious limitation of his game and we're already struggling in that regard in a few positions. He's not really the type of player you can rotate out either, I expect we'd have another Rooney situation where he starts regardless of form.
His status as a free agent is slightly misleading too. I'm sure he'd command exceptionally high wages and a fair signing on fee, so I don't think it's necessarily the bargain some people perceive it to be.
We have scousers on the forum - they're voting against Zlatan..
Zlatan would be great for our youngsters, and disregard his failures in Europe, he's coming with a guarantee for the domestic title? Also Zlatan seems to be much more of a team player than CR7. If anyone but CR7 scores for Real, he often doesn't even raise his hands to celebrate. He sure as hell ain't wasting calories on running to celebrate with his teammates.
I'd take them both. If Leicester can win PL, I can go a little FM with my wishlist.
Combine that with some of his quotes about his time at Barca and it really doesn't paint a great picture of him as a role model for young players. He is not the type of player to approach the younger players and give them advice.
He only cares about himself.
Kingsley Coman
In terms of professionalism, he is a model for everyone: that is why he is still performing at the age of 34.Combine that with some of his quotes about his time at Barca and it really doesn't paint a great picture of him as a role model for young players.
I don't know why either because it's only in your imagination.I don't want him personally.
Dunno why but he's always struck me as a:
FT: 6-0
(Zlatan 72',77',79')
Sort of striker as opposed to a:
FT: 0-1
(Zlatan 84')
I think a player like Griezmann is more of the latter.
Schweinsteiger was signed knowing that he's injury prone and Falcao was coming off of a terrible injury.I'm not keen on us signing Ibrahimovic. We wouldn't have to build a team around him at all or at a minimum any more than we would if we didn't buy him. Wages, fees and all of that are secondary right now. As a club, we are at a critical fork in the road where we have to start winning trophies again next year or else risk getting swept away into a generational Liverpool-like "there's always next year" mentality.I'm not keen on us signing Ibrahimovic. I suppose it depends how you look at it really. I understand those who think he could come here and have a Cantona or van Persie like impact. Of course I'd love to see that happen too, though I fear that may be an idealist view.We wouldn't have to build a team around him at all or at a minimum any more than we would if we didn't buy him. The formula for next year is pretty straight forward.
1. Hire Mourinho
2. Sign Zlatan on a free, rolling one year deal. Wage structure contingent on starts/goals/us winning a major trophy etc.
3. Sign Griezmann
4. Retain De Gea
5. Keep Schweinsteiger and Shaw healthy
6. Continue to develop Martial, Memphis, and Lingard
7. Sign a Carrick replacement
8. Sign a central defender (Dragovic would be my choice)
We've looked successful and dangerous the last few weeks?I voted no. Having seen how successful and dangerous we have looked in recent weeks with a fluid front three, who are all willing to run off the ball, clarify's to me that I don't want Ibra. Don't get me wrong, I still feel we need a striker - and possibly a winger too, but they will need to be able to run off the ball and stretch play. Ibra, as good as he can be, won't give us that.
With the front three of Martial, Rashford and Lingard, in terms of pace and movement off the ball, I feel we have looked dangerous, at times. We've looked successful and dangerous the last few weeks?
Lingards far from dangerous, and Rashford isn't ready to be first choice yet. With the front three of Martial, Rashford and Lingard, in terms of pace and movement off the ball, I feel we have looked dangerous, at times.
And if you read on, I clearly stated we needed a we need a striker and right winger. Someone who has the fluidity our front three have shown in recent weeks. That someone isn't Ibra.Lingards far from dangerous, and Rashford isn't ready to be first choice yet.
Yep. Let's put all the pressure on an 18 year old to carry United to success ffs. Ridiculous argument.See this is the kind of signing Mouriniho would make, where as Poch would not not look at him and would turn Rashford into a top goalscorer.
One has short term benefits, the other long term. But then again how important is the next title post-fergie?
