Still seems incredibly strange that it's actually happening. Great news though.

I have to say I am so relieved I wont be seeing Vangle at the pressers anymore. I already feel more confident hearing JoMo's words on his will to win. We really have lacked this for the past three years.

Looks like JOMO has already changed some pre season plans.

It's finally got to me. Jose Mourinho is the manager of Manchester United. I am feeling the buzz I haven't felt for a good number of years about both the present and the future of the club. Looking at it now, why we didn't hire Jose three years ago is absolutely beyond me. People can rave about Guardiola, Klopp, Ancelotti all they like, but the fact is: Mourinho's CV is the strongest. He is the best and most proven manager around. I just cannot wait July 7 and him to start working his magic. If we get three out of of Ibrahimovic, Stones, Kante, Willian, Matic, top class right winger, I firmly believe we can challenge for the title because the fact is: yes, we are in transition, but so are all the big clubs in England. The difference is: We are United and we have the best manager, biggest financial pull and the best crop of young players of them all.

Does anyone with a bit of Portuguese know anything about the phrase "what I have and what I don't have"? He's used the phrase quite a few times before, and I'm wondering if it comes from something that has more meaning when translated into Portuguese.
You're looking too much into that.

He's just saying he will give it his all and everything else to succeed.

I've had a rough week but today it's all kind of come together and everything to do with this has just topped it off.

Mmm fair enough, I just find his turn of phrase interesting sometimes, and occasionally translations in language gives you some interesting insights.

That's exactly what we all said when VG joined though... having said that, totally agree :D

There's only one United!
All I can say is 'What a relief from our previous manager' - this guy has feelings and blood in his veins! :D

Yeah, a bit of the same feeling here.
However, I really hope those at the club who are against the appointment find it in themselves to give him support; for a personality like José's, it's not good when people are grudging or unsupportive as it brings out the worst in him. This doesn't mean total support for everything he may do or say (if things start to go wrong)...but at least make some effort.
Are you talking about the fans, board or both?

I think the fans will get on board, especially if we make a good start. I just can't see us being so sterile under Mourinho and they'll respond to that. As for the board - who knows which noses have been put out of joint by this?! Hopefully they steer clear for the sake of the club.
