It's still a matter of relations. We could also afford paying 300M £ for him, would you still like that? Or 500?

It's still not my money and Glazers still wouldn't be broke. Remember when we used to laugh at Chelsea and City for spending crazy money?

Whatever price we pay, it also sets another example for future fees.
I like Pogba and I would love to have him back, but laughing at people who think 125 is a risky price?
The truth is no one was laughing at both Chelsea and City when they won their league titles, and no one is laughing at City now when they are in the CL and we are not. At the time when Ronaldo was bought for 80m everyone thought that was crazy, now it seems like he was taken at a bargain price. I understand your point of perception etc, but if we want to compete with the top teams we will need top talent that we just don't have, if it means spending big money we will just have to get our head around it. The constant discussion about the price is irrelevant, it's not like the club is asking "Hey everyone would you like us to pursue Pogba at this price, Retweet for YES, Fav for NO" If we want him that's the price, simple as that, if we don't buy him someone else DEFINITELY will in the next 12 months and he will be gone. If he is winning titles with United at the end of the year money will be the furthest thing from your mind I imagine.

Paul Pogba and Manchester United, the courtship continues. And, indeed, it becomes more and more concrete. The English club, in fact, together with the agent of the French, Mino Raiola has requested a meeting with Juventus to present the first official offer to Juventus. The summit could be today with United will present a proposal of just over 100 million, about 103/104 (if it will be added to understand even a part linked to the bonus).
get in,

you go woody!

Surely with United issuing a bid its been made clear that Pogba would join United if accepted?
No idea tbh, but I just get the feeling that Juventus will really dig their heels in on this one and within hours of us making our first official bid we'll see tweets saying it's been rejected. I hope I'm wrong and the bid is merely a formality after we've already negotiated and agreed an acceptable price.

We seriously shouldn't go above 100-120m, that offer is already ridiculous as it is. If they manage to fleece us for 150m euros or thereabout it will just be insanity.

IMO we should offer 100m, he isn't even worth that and Juve know it.

We will likely end up at 120-125m though, Woodie want that transfer record, and Mou obviously wants Pogba.

So safe to say, this is PogbON.

Yea reckon we will lowball them to start with and then see where it ends up. Hopefully juve don't get too greedy or it could price United out of the deal.

Well, something's definitely happening. It's now or never if he's ever going to return.

Considering Raiola is the go-between, couldn't one assume Pogba has had some say on this? Would you really let your agent open bids for a move if you have zero intention of moving?

If we get this wrapped up quickly and complete our set of 4 priority signings, I'm looking forward to making our supplemental signings of James, Fabinho and Bonucci in a nice relaxed manner.

No, it means United and Juve are in discussions. They could go wrong resulting in no deal.

In a box
That's about £84m.
Will be rejected pretty soon I think. Then we offer more, which will be accepted. Both clubs probably dont want to seem too eager. United dont want to be seen as spending silly money without negotiating. Juventus dont want to seem like they arent putting up a fight to keep him. I think this all just posturing for the media.

Waste of money, should spend it on a big box of Pogs and play them in midfield instead.

Every decent source is confirming this. With Real backing a bit(from Zidane's comments) it's a clear path to us. If we can get him for the region of 110m euros wouldn't be a bad deal(he's not worth it at the moment I know).

First offer is to set the base price for negotiations. It will go something like this-
United and raiola : Offer 103 million euros (juve + 20% raiola)
Juve : Ask for 125 so they get 100 million for themselves

Negotiations begin and a price in between is settled. Juve say ok. then we sign pogba.

Definitely. But it's heartening we've reached the formal bid phase of the process. You'd assume most of the ground work and discussions have been done already, and the bit when we present a formal bid is quite late on in the whole procedure.
