If Pogba really wants to be there so bad would he not just wait 6 months for them and just turn down any other club that came in for him?
Who knows, we are really verging here to a hyphotetical discussion with no end and no use so lets break it off before it get silly.

Lets just say he could go to us, he could stay, he could go to Real, now or in a latter window, all is possible and all have their logic to some extend

Giving this till the end of the week, if it hasn't happened by then then it won't happen in my opinion. Either way I'm getting sick and tired of the same shit spouted every day only to change the next.
No offence but why post this? What if it doesn't happen by Friday but does happen by August 1st?

If it doesnt happen till Friday I think its off.
If it's off, we'll know about it. I just can't see us giving up on this so easily if we've put weeks of effort into it.
One side is going to crack sooner or later.

Everything so far still seems to suggest it's already done, no matter what hash, di marzio, or his underlings say. Not like they're going to hold negotiations for now, then ring back 48 hours later and say "well Ed? are you going to pay the agent fees now?"

"Mino Raiola came from Miami and met juventus. ManUtd does not want to raise the offer. "
I agree, If they dont want to take all that money then tough they will lose much more next year especially if he doesn't live up to season past. If Juve truly did agree to pay Raiola his percentage there is no reason we should foot the bill after spending so much already. Move on to matuidi and concentrate on improving the secondary squad.

Does anybody remember the Carlos Tevez saga? (Christ, 10 years ago now )

Well this feels a bit like that. That dragged out a lot over agent and image issues etc

Then I hold my hands up and say I was happily wrong but as of this moment, to many stories with different things are coming out on a daily basis for this to be a done deal.

Its not that they dont want, they have to. The issue is Juve want a guaranteed amount BEFORE Raiolas cut. And that amount seems like 100m euros.

It was a % of the future transfer. Juve never expected the fee to be so high when they agreed to it. Now they are balking at having to pay him such a large sum and want us to do it.
If they didn't think the fee would be this high, they presumably thought what..... £50m? so they'd pay tubby £10m and net £40m.

£100m even after paying £20m is still net £80m.

What the 20% turns into in pound/euro value is irrelevant as every £1 the fee is higher than they may have expected, is 80p to Juve? The higher the fee, the better for them?

They're just playing hardball and we should tell them to call us when/if they're ready to accept our offer (and they'll pay agents fees as they're meant to). Or, they can try and plug their cash flow without the Pogba fee and we move onto another target..... fine by me.

He will be our shit. There clearly must be a line drawn, they will never see another offer like this for pogba again. And are ramping up their spending like no ones business. Whoever our other 2 targets are we should focus on them if Juve dont want to play ball with our more than generous offer. Season starts in 2 weeks, we have our own priorities to fix. If Jose thinks Matuidi offers the missing 25% then so be it.

It is all a bit silly from Juve though if I understand it correctly. They agreed to this agent clause, not us. They should sure stand by this as this is in the spirit of the game. Free Papiss.

Higuain, 2 45m payments in 2 years. They probably have to pay more than that considering all the transfers they have made.
They had biggest income ever in 2013, bigger in 14, bigger in 15 and after almost being bankrupt a few years back, made a profit in last year. They're regulars in Champions League again (so income and advertising income keeping growing).

Plus, parent Co (Exor owned by the Agnelli family..... billionaires) have an evergeen E50m credit line available at any time, so it might not be ideal but they can cover it if they want to. Personally, I don't think the Agnellis want to cover it (it doesn't seem to fit the model) and I'm hoping Woodward has passed "Hardball negotiating for Beginners Part.1"

€145 million being touted now. Madness. As it is not my money then it's not a massive deal and we obviously have it to spend but it takes the gloss of the deal imo.

Really don't want this cnut and his scumbag agent here for this price tag.
Totally agree - this leaves a very sour taste in the mouth before anything is even agreed. I could see things getting very messy in a few years if we do get him, when his agent wants him to move to RM.

Best left where he is imho.

Just feck them off and blow that money on a very good attacker and a capable CM. They're a big club and all but are minnow compared to us, we shouldn't be bending over for their demands. Pull out of negotiations and let them figure out where to get all their funding and wages from. Also if we pull out and Pogba does stay you can bet he'd want a bumper new contract given what we've offered him, let them deal with this mess.

I have been a part of this saga as much as anyone else but the season starts in 2 weeks, we need to strengthen that position. We can't be dawdling over little things, get a player in and have a strong start to the season.

Mediaset are saying that we're not willing to raise our offer for Pogba, but a deal could be closed in the next 24-48 hours.
How can a deal be close if we're not willing to budge on our offer, and Juve aren't, on their terms, either? I think this is going to end up being a disappointment for the muppets. Unless what Juve were saying about the Higuain deal not being dependent upon Pogba was a lie, I can't see anyone compromising here.

In hindsight, we should have just given Valencia the 40m for Gomes. Would have been a perfectly valid alternative, and with many years ahead of him to grow further too. And I doubt Valencia would have been as cnuty as Juve have been in this whole affair.

Why does it leave a sour taste. Its not Pogba or Raiola who are the problems, its Juventus. Even if it gets messy we'll have him those few years..

If this doesnt get done after this week we should move on. Get the 25% before the season starts and quick. I wouldnt mind Matuidi tbh now we've run out of options.

If they won't accept our more than generous offer and pay the fee they agreed when they signed the contract with Raiola by the end of the week then let them keep him and try getting as much next year when Real are transfer banned and no one is as desperate as us. It's gotten beyond a joke.

Yea there is like €28m additionally they have to pay
€32m for Pjanic
€3m for Benatia (loan with 17m option to buy at the end of it)
€23m for Pjaca
Alves was free
€47m for Higuain (paid over 2 installements)
minus incoming €30m for moratta

So I think they would be €75m outgoing cash right now, maybay less if Pjanic and Pjaca are due in installements, that is possible, I don't know. I think they got €30m from RM all at once because it was some clause in the contract that was triggered directly.
Plus wages. Let's not forget Pogba's huge pay rise if he stays.
