Coming back to the team that let him go, wrongly.

Manchester weather not Madrid.

Money.

He's a mercenary like most other young players guided by their bank account and greedy agent.

No cl football

Dragging it out so long.

There are probably more factors, it's obviously not happening
Who is the midfielder Jose said we'd have in the next few days then, eh?

You'll probably cry when Pogba signs with us on Monday.
I tried to be decent to Rory because, unlike certain others whose opinion wasn't consistent with the majority, I thought while incorrect he was at least being sincere. However, in the face of that he's just behaved like more and more of an obnoxious prat. Shame.

"We have 22 and we are going to have 23,” said Mourinho. “You are right, I don’t like to speak about other clubs or players from other clubs. Other managers like to do that, they like to speak about my club and my players. I am very pragmatic on this.

"All that matters is what happens in my house and not in my neighbours’ house. Paul Pogba is a Juventus player until he isn’t, officially, so we stay like this. The market closes on Aug 31 but I think my club is trying to do everything to close our market before the 14th."

"[We have signed] A young defender that needs time to be a top one but who has top potential. A creative player that we know the quality, a super striker, and we are going to get a very good midfielder."

It's not going to be fecking Steffen Freund, is it
Maybe it's Michael Essien? We know Mourinho likes to bring his former, trusted players with him to new clubs. He also brought Essien to Madrid when he was there. And Essien is a free agent now. Pogba is going to Madrid now, as we all know.

Di Marzio reported we had agreed personal terms very early with Pogba. Hardly screams that he doesn't want to be here.

I don't get why so many of you get so worked up when someone just states the obvious. The deal will look much less likely if Pogba does return to Italy and trains with Juventus. I'd rather just go with the evidence than just follow blindly what any paper of reporter says. The evidence is, Mourinho saying Pogba is a Juve player, Allegri saying Pogba will return to Juve training and is a Juve player and if he does actually return to training, the evidence would all point at the deal not being at the stage it is reported to be in. Tomorrow will answer everything. Pogba goes to Manchester? We signed him. Pogba goes to Italy? Transfer has not been agreed like it has been reported for the past 3 weeks.

You are just clinging to what Di Marzio says because that is the outcome you would like in the same way you were sure Hazard and Ronaldinho would sign for us. He does have good sources but sources aren't always 100% correct or they could misinterpret information.

You don't think players factor that into any decision? Of course they do.

We've missed out on numerous players in the past because of similar things, we'll miss out on pogba because of it and more, and we'll miss out on many more players in years to come because of it

I've never ever seen such an obviously happening transfer. Ever.
 exactly, and people still want to panic and worry over it.

I'm a little annoyed we've not been able to integrate him into the team quicker, but his transition should be quicker than most seeing as he used to work here anyway.

Well in that case lets not sign any big player. Let's sign more average squad players and stay in the Europa for a bit more because those are the only players Madrid won't want. Hell if Madrid come them then we will lose out on them as well. If Madrid came for Rojo you think he would have picked us over them? In that case we can't sign anyone because every single player would choose Madrid over us. We will be no one's first choice.
Fecks sake.

I just pointed out that Ballague wasn't the only journo to say he prefered Madrid and if they were an option he would have chosen them.

Blimey.

Well he left us once before

We aren't in the CL

Nearly every reporter suggested at the start of the saga he prefered Real

He is joining us purely for the cash
I agree with everything you have said, but some muppets in here just don't want to hear the truth.
Even though we are a Europa League club, whose average league finishing position during the last 3 years is 5.33, people still believe we are a club that every player wants to join, which is clearly not the case.
There are 2 things we have going for us at this moment in time:
1, Jose
2, lots of cash.

Last season, we had lots of cash, but because of LVG, most top players refused to join, no matter what we were prepared to pay them.
What amuses me is when the muppets get angry, when these facts are discussed.

I am hoping that over the next 2-3 years, Jose takes us back to the top, but rebuilding job is only just starting.
LVG was previously famed for his foundations, but IMO, his foundations will need to be ripped out and replaced before we win the league. This is what Jose is currently attempting to do.

I am surprised that people assume this means Pogba is done. I see this as him saying that we're after Pogba, but whether he comes or not, we'll sign a good Midfield player. I expect Mourinho has a backup (Matuidi most likely) who is locked in more or less if Pogba falls through.

Pogba has been holidaying right up until Juve need him back and I think he'll report back for training as expected.

In fairness to LVG, he thought us how to hold onto possession. Jose is giving us a bit more bite now. Can still see the LVG tactics in the players brains as they play.

Sneijder.

.
Manager that Summer:

"We are not buying anybody else. Things can change but at the moment there is no value in the market. I am happy with what I have."

Manager this Summer:

"We are close to buying a top midfield player in the next few days"

So no, not Sneijder.

I can only speak for myself, but I don't remember being all that sure of Hazard coming, in fact of all these summer sagas, this is the only one where I've been certain because it's overwhelmingly obvious.

We could do with 2 midfielders. Was doing my matchday selection for tomorrow and we are very light. A good few need shipping out also.

Muppets are touchy folk

I can nearly imagine him crying while typing that out
People get exceptionally touchy over Pogba and don't get me wrong would love him here, will transform our team.

Just hope this gets sorted my tomorrow, Monday latest.

I'm certain we're going to hear something tonight. At least some flight tracking or something along those lines. He's surely on his way back to Europe sometime today/tonight, if Juventus expect him back tomorrow. Chances are he's going to be spotted somewhere, and all the guessing begins - once again.

To be fair, Pogba's holiday being the cause of this deal not signed yet is not enough to calm the panicky muppets, i believe the deal is done myself but refuse to believe that it hasn't been completed yet because Pogba can't be arsed to cut short his holiday for by a few days to complete a world record transfer. I might not be so calm if the deal isn't signed on Monday though

From what I remember from Hazard it was very close to Utd.

Pretty similar to this saga, Sky had breaking news to say their sources had said he had chosen us and there were tweets he had been offered the 7 shirt and shown round old trafford (which was indirectly confirmed by Fergie when he started banging on about history over money).

He then signed for Chelsea and our muppet hearts were broken.

It's going to be very interesting to see where he travels to.

MEN say jose expects him in the UK this weekend so we shall see.

Sky sports news reported that Hazard had chosen Manchester United. The player himself said that he's going to Manchester but didn't say if it was City or United. Then he ended up signing for Chelsea. Later, it emerged that the deal was 99% completed and we backed out when we learned that we had to pay agent fees.

For the Hazard deal we actually had more proof that he's joining rather than in this situation.

No. Sneijder was nothing like this.

And you could be right with your second point but lets be honest here, and I really don't want to offend you but..., you're glass is always half empty :)
