Please never get promoted.He's a class player and he will score plenty of goals, but he needs the service. Rooney offers absolute nothing at #10 and starting him behind Zlatan is going to be a source of much frustration.

Yea, I agree. However if we add a more dynamic midfield and utilize the pace out wide, it will be like papering over a crack. Which should be sufficient enough to help us challenge.

Got the goal, but otherwise a rather underwhelming performance. Of course with a striker, a goal always changes the perspective on everything else.

Think this is something we've missed last season. Playing as a shit overall in the second half, as a team I mean, Zlatan does very little and bang, a goal. Last season it was just playing shite and you knew nothing would happen.
Get more pace in and around him, as well as service and he'll flourish. Slightly concerning how he fared with his hold-up play and overall game though both Morgan and Huth are so physical I'm hoping it's a question of adapting to the PL and getting up to speed.

It's understandable he's a bit off pace. I think he was the last player to come back to training from our squad but still when it mattered he delivered.
Zlatan was great, did his job to a tee, his lack of inclusion at time was down to the #10 who struggled to keep the ball. Looking forward to a dynamic #10 who gets all areas of the team involved.
Second last, Pogba hasn't come back yet.

Front four are a mess in terms of interplay but a match winner regardless.
Needs more matches in him. First touch lacked and he gave away the ball too easily at times. He tried playing one-twos with others, especially Rooney but his first touch was even worse. Like i've repeated, we need to start playing for him and with him. Seek him out, give him the ball, do one-twos with him, run into space so he can play you in. Another meh performance, another great goal.
Didn't do much but didn't have a lot to work with. If he can play like that and score the winner then its fine by me!
Someone said it in the match thread, Zlatan and Rooney may well pose similar problems to the Rvp/Rooney partnership. And it seems that Rooney is in the first 11 for another season so that could hold zlatan back, but he will still get 20 in the league IMO.

Wasn't great, but scored and won us the game, which is why we bought him. Super leap for the header.
Think he'll get us a solid 15-20 goals this season, he'll provide us a different threat against physical defences too which is great.
