Yeah that's awful and he should have been banned. Has anyone ever said anything else on here? While you claim Man Utd fans to be the hypocrites, it has really become the other way round. Good job!

You'll find the difference is that we don't protect and defend Fellaini. You guys are acting as if Aguero is mother Teresa who was assaulted by Winston Reid and the world is out to get you.

yep, all other elbows are now fine because of another elbow. i, for one, enjoy going on vast murder sprees, before using the watertight defence of "someone else has gotten away with murder in the past, so i can't be found guilty."

Poor little Kun got his arm headbutted by Reid. :(

Do you see anyone in here excusing Fellaini? All we ask for is that your little angel gets the same treatment as Fellaini and Schweinsteiger got last season, which was 3 game bans.

And what does that have to do with anything?

Is it ok for me to go out and punch a guy in the face because some other bloke did it once and got away lightly?

I actually remember posting that gif in the Fellaini thread a while ago while I laid into him for being a thug, by the way.

You insinuated there would be no pride in beating City if Augero is banned.

Which is a mad thing to think.
It is a mad thing to think. Strange that you're arguing against what I insinuate though, instead of what I said. Which is simply that I'd love to beat our title and local rivals on our home ground while they're at their best.

It's an agenda against City for sure. Aguero should have been sent off during the match but he wasn't because of the agenda against City. Do you despicable rags not see the logic?

I said in the Manchester City thread that most of their goal threat is through Aguero and that we have more options. That, of course, got shot down straight away by the Berties. So it really shouldn't make any difference to them whether he plays or not as they have plenty of other options and players who will provide goals.

So why should we be bothered about beating an 'under strength' City side. Players will be in and out during the season. I don't care which team they put as I feel we will beat them anyway. We can only beat what is put in front of us and it's up to the opposing manager to deal with that. If Aguero gets banned it's nothing more than he deserved.

To be honest, I am not sure whether it's a banning offence or not. Aguero tried to twat him for sure, but he actually missed, and the ref saw it. Morally, yes, he should probably get a ban, but since the ref saw it and since he didn't actually catch Reid, I am not sure.

EDIT: Oh, I see Mariner has decided he didn't see the incident he stared at at the time, so I assume Aguero will now get a ban.

Basti got 3 games for this, if Aguero gets away with is, the only favouritism from the FA is towards poor little Kun.

True. Aguero was pretty ineffectual against West Ham to be honest. I'd rather he played, but Iheanacho can do the job.

Reid must be a right c**t that he keeps getting elbow's, on a serious note he should be banned, he actually gets off with quite a lot Aguero, if he does not catch Reid as i have read on this why does he go off ? cant imagine Reid is a player who would go off with a fake injury

I think Bilic said it was a tactical substitution as they needed to score.

Indeed after the match Bilic said that the substitution would take place anyway and that he didn't see Aguero's challenge as malicious.

However Reid is now listed as injured with a facial injury and Noble after the match said that Reid felt something in his throat and couldn't speak.

I suspect that the elbow from Aguero didn't connect but his fist hit Reid's neck.

The one thing I gleaned from that vid was that Bastian is carrying a fair bit of timber. Maybe he and Nasri have been using the same dietician

That elbow from Fellaini is brilliant. Technically superb, to the point and not a single feck given.

This should not matter. Intent is all that is necessary to get punished. He did catch Reid though, but more with his wrist or forearm instead of with his elbow. It's a routine three match ban. I'm very much in favour of this always resulting in a violent conduct ban. And yes, that does include everytime Fellaini does it.

Aye, I remember Scholes getting sent off for trying to punch Alonso at Liverpool, even though short arms missed

But Aguero clearly catches him though.
