Don't see why. He makes a fair point. Woodward is hailed as the messiah when we sign someone and berated the rest of the time for being incompetent. Usually by the same people, too.
He is a bellend of the highest order who acts like he is in the ITK and well connected with the higher ups at United.

It is not done yet. Watching these 'journalists' cumming in their pants about getting a bit of 'inside knowledge' is frankly laughable.

Tbf to Pilib de Brun, he was definitely the first to state that Raiola was the one that let it be known to United this week that Everton/Lukaku would be amenable to a deal with us. I would guess due to Everton getting fed up of Chelsea, and also the fact the Rooney situation could be used to our advantage.

If a badly photoshopped pic was tweeted hours ago, there's a good chance it's already been posted hours ago. Multiple times.

He does have contacts at United, don't know how high up they are but he regularly has very impressive guests on his podcast. People like Roy Keane, Bryan Robson, Martin Tyler, Danny Higginbotham (regular) John Cross, Clark Carlisle, Kyle Martino, Ray Wilkins, Mark Ogden, Robbie Earle, Jeff Stelling, Denis Irwin, Paul Dickov, Andres Pereira, Sid Lowe, Gab Marcotti, Eamon Dunphy, Jaap Stam and lots more that I can't think of right now. Also his show has just been moved to NBC Sports. You think he gets all that by just being some bellend off twitter? Salty, much?

De Brun is the same dickhead who made up a story about Jose quitting that then other journos tried to run with. He knows nothing

Jesus, only just realising how big our club is. By all accounts Lukaku's a boyhood fan of chelsea, had a decent experience there, and has seen them win the prem twice in three seasons- but he still chose us. Yh we'll probably pay more but lukaku sounds like someone more concerned with his legacy not wallet, rendering that point moot.

 People claiming to be ITK about an ITK. Couldn't make it up.
Just following the evidence. We had posts here about de Brun claiming Jose might quit (basing it in part on the supposed tone of Ed's voice) a day or so latter we have Castles and others running the same story (I had even predicted after the de Brun story others would pick it up and cause a fuss on the forum).

Wait, did he say he had information that Jose would quit or that it was his personal opinion that he might? Big difference and a lot of people seem to confuse the two things. Phil will usually state outright whether something has been passed onto him or if it's just his take on the situation. He's repeated time and time again that he doesn't claim to be an ITK, just that he has a few sources who sometimes tell him stuff and he passes that on to his followers. He obviously has some credibility or he wouldn't be doing the things he's doing.

He said it was his opinion, thus something he made up himself but in this case based on nonsense. The other supposed United mouthpiece , Castles, then one upped him ( can you say click bait). Media is full of people who have little credibility, they make a living at it.

So Phil gives his opinion on something, somebody else runs with it as a story and it's somehow Phil's fault? Seems fair, I suppose.

No. I do watch his shows, though. We follow each other on twitter and facebook and we have some mutual 'real life' friends. He's a really nice, good natured guy, who gets a lot of unnecessary stick for just giving his opinion.
Ah no wonder.

Well as you point out he is trying to make a living "giving his opinion" so he has to put up with people calling him out on his bullshit.

Yeah he put his opinion out there himself, so yes he is the only one responsible for that especially when it was an opinion based on total BS. He made it up, why not hold him responsible for that? Who else is responsible for him making shit up to get clicks/readers/viewers?

I've no problem with people criticising his own personal views but having abuse hurled at you for having an opinion, probably isn't on.

He is the same tool who said there is a great chance of Pogba not happening 48 hours before we announced it.

All he does is follow major news/rumours and make up something sensible and hope hes right. He might have sources but most of what he claims is made up. Can't believe people are gullible enough for his crap despite repeatedly and clearly making things up and just following the narrative.

Also we give idiots like those on Fox News or Piers Morgan shit for doing their jobs, making shit up. Just because you have some connection to him does not make him above criticism.
They propagate dangerous, sometimes racially charged, political views that influence millions of people. Phil posts about football, to roughly 20k people.

Phil talks a lot, but I find he's pretty good at telling you when he voices an opinion, versus something he knows. I got a lot of respect for the fella too, with the challenges he's had on his show with Anto etc, he puts on a quality program with some really good insight, and some great guests too. Current and ex ones. He speaks a lot more sense than half the journo's out there and I wish he were back on Sirius. However. He does love a spot of gossip too and it's nice to hear a local accent over here.

Like I said, the stuff his connections tell him, he reports with the caveat that he is passing on information. The rest of the time, he stresses it's his own personal opinion. Can't see too much wrong with that, tbh.

So the chelsea media sources are in full salt mode

The one guy that said there was no fee agreed now agrees he's off to MUFC

all the MUFC guys are saying it's done.

All the "ITK's" are saying it's done.

but some on here still want to keep posting "guys he might be going to chelsea":lol::houllier:

Probably a case of not wanting to get their hopes up. Stranger things have happened and deals have fallen apart that were further along than this.

Lukaku is a good signing but missing out on him wouldn't be end of the world so I don't get why people are saying he may still go to chelsea. Getting Moratta, Lukaku or Belotti is the same thing in my opinion.

Getting either Morata or Lukaku is one thing but not Belotti. At least not yet. Wouldnt categorize him as same.

This will be the most bittersweet transfer in history.

1. Unsettle Morata at Madrid and make them think we'll overpay for him thus allowing Real to splash OUR cash on Mbappe. Now they're stuck with an unhappy benchwarmer and no Mbappe.

2. Steal Lukaku from under Chelsea's nose and now they're left with no replacement for their already unhappy striker Costa.

Please don't feck this up

Dont think its as big as you think it is. Firstly Morata isnt exactly unhappy with his situation at Madrid. If he was he would have made more noise about leaving but everyone loves him at Madrid. Secondly now Chelsea are in for him. So either way, Chelsea and United would have one of Lukaku or Morata by the end of the window. And finally, if you seriously think the 2nd biggest club in the world in terms of revenue cant stump up the cash for Mbappe then you're having a laugh.
