Missd a sitter but at least he got his goal in the end. I won't complain as he has scored 11 goals for us but that figure could easily have been 15. All strikers miss chances though so it happens.

Bit of an off day for him and his first touch let him down on that glorious through ball from Matic, but he still bagged another to keep his eye in!

Just in case anyone missed it. I don't like Mount.

Looks like he needs a rest. Wish he hadn't been called up for Belgium..

As Matic think he was really tired. Feck Belgium NT tbh. He should have got a rest in the coming break.

Still got his goal.

It's hard to criticise him when he scores every week but I am concerned about what happens at the business end of the season when the better teams at home and abroad won't allow us to create so much.

Anyway, for the moment, he's been excellent. He's so active in our attacking play all the time. His movement's great and the other attackers clearly love playing with him.

He just got a knock and still played, pretty easy to see why he wasnt great.

Seemed quite off today with a lot of his play but, good for him to get his goal. Hopefully Martinez gives Batshuayi the games and Big Rom gets a rest.

But it looked to me like near enough every time he miscontrolled or misplaced a pass, he had the ball back again within seconds and was back to doing damage. Never hiding, and the other players never deterred from giving him the ball.

Martinez better.. If he plays Lukaku it will just underline how shit and useless international football is.

He played like he had a knock and had a late fitness test today. And still scored.

Wasteful today, but it's a great sign that he doesn't let missed chances affect him. Kept going and got his goal. Love him already!

He worries me. He must have amazing mental strength to deal with his shit touches, missing easy finishes and still getting his goal.
Me too, i fear him going through a bad patch. I mean he has been great for United, but i feel he has a bad touch in him by default like Hernandez had. Would have been a brilliant goal if he had managed to latch on to the exquisite pass from Matic in the second half.

Really hope he carries on scoring which will only increase his confidence and it won't matter if he misplaces his passes or misses some sitters similar to today.

How many did Ruud have at this stage in his 44 goal season?

6 goals in 12 games.

2 in 7 in the League. 2 in the Qualifying round of the Champions League and 2 in Group stage.

Ruud had a bit of a slow start in that season for his standards. It's the season where he started his 10 games in a row of scoring.

Cheers for that. You think Lukaku can hit 44 providing we get to the semis in all 3 competitions?

The way he's going now, hell yeah. Maybe I'm getting a bit carried away but if he can keep this level of goal scoring up he can definitely hit 40+.

I think many are expecting him to have a rough patch for some reason, I don't think he will. He's too mentally strong to ever let lack of goal scoring get the better of him and Mourinho puts no pressure on him as long as he's playing well which I think helps a lot.

Me too. Barring an injury I expect him to hit 30 easily.

Showed his limitations today. That said, he scored, which is his primary job. I doubt I'd ever find him great to watch, nothing smooth at all about his game. That said, we don't have many players who really excite me to watch anyway - but like Lukaku, many of them can do their job, and I'd be more than happy with that.

Damn if it weren't for his missed penalty v Leicester he'd be on course to break Vardy's record of scoring in 11 consecutive games.

Away in Russia on a Wednesday then playing at 3pm on Saturday is just ridiculous. Not surprised he's knackered.

He was on course to break it when Vardy set it if I remember correctly. Think he did 7 games straight before his run got broken. Literally just after Vardy set it. Of course if didn't get Vardy/Kane level coverage at the time, but he was chipping away.

Wasn't his day yesterday, but he just keeps going. Missed a sitter by his standards, but he was still chasing balls down, holding it up and making sure to get in the box at every opportunity. Got his reward in the end. Lethal.

That miss is annoying because the way he faked to move to create the chance was brilliant.
