I hope Mourinho destroys him and the FA for it. It's an absolute farce. So I gather from the pointless argument over offsides that Klopp never did get charged for his comments?

Then he will get a charge...I hope Mourinho destroys him and the FA for it. It's an absolute farce.
Why would he get charged? He clearly refained from saying anything controversial as he himself admitted he would get the worlds biggest fine. What he said about the reeree was spot on.They really don't know their jobs fully and need to be taught. So I gather from the pointless argument over offsides that Klopp never did get charged for his comments?
This is the reason I love to watch them fail more than any other club. There's literally no other club that could or would create this level of drama.
Because other managers have been banned from the sideline before for saying the things he said. Doesn't matter whether you think he was 'spot on' or not. It is clear that Klopp is the FA's little pet.Why would he get charged? He clearly refained from saying anything controversial as he himself admitted he would get the worlds biggest fine. What he said about the reeree was spot on.They really don't know their jobs fully and need to be taught.
well...VAR would check. If their image shows him to be offside, even by 1 millimeter, they would call the offside.
@montpelier man what are you even going on about?

moot.Jon Moss and his assistant were worried about Lovren but dear old Richard Keys believed Wijnaldum played Kane onside for Spurs first penalty. Mute point as Kane missed the penalty mind you.

Oops.moot.
Agree 100% and all the diving shenanigans!I just think it shows what a shambles the whole offside decision is. In the old days before we had moron pundits poring over slow motion footage, Kane would have just been called offside & that would have been it. Now we have a whole circus around it.
it's classic manager diversion tactics by Klopp. His team were poor in the 2nd half and no-one is mentioning that. Same after the West Brom defeat, post match analysis was all re VAR and not the actual performance. Liverpool fans say that KARIUS and VVD played well. I think Karius did ok but at the end of the day he was badly at fault for a goal and give away a penalty. VVD did play well but conceded a penalty in injury time that cost them all 3 pts. Therein lies the difference between top players and good players, they are focused for the whole game, not parts of it. We know ourselves, anyone of Rojo, Smalling and Jones can be having a great game and than do one stupid thing that can prove costly. Klopp is smart, no-ones really talking VVD right now. I've followed this lad back when he played at Celtic, he's a good player no doubt, but he's good for at least 1 major feck up per game and that was back even when he played against poor teams in Scotland. The post match analysis when we lost to Spurs was all how poor we were etc and rightly so. Not seeing that same type of analysis re Liverpool's 2nd half and Klopp's perpetual moaning is taking care of thatI just think it shows what a shambles the whole offside decision is. In the old days before we had moron pundits poring over slow motion footage, Kane would have just been called offside & that would have been it. Now we have a whole circus around it.
I think it's a little sad that we've got to a point in football where we stare at slow motion video for 5 minutes to see if a ball brushed against a defenders leg in order to determine if a player was offside. There must be a better rule that can be used for offside.Jon Moss and his assistant were worried about Lovren but dear old Richard Keys believed Wijnaldum played Kane onside for Spurs first penalty. There is, if you are offside, you are offside. The whole phase of play thing its tedious.I think it's a little sad that we've got to a point in football where we stare at slow motion video for 5 minutes to see if a ball brushed against a defenders leg in order to determine if a player was offside. Posts like this make me wonder if allowing the newbies to post in the mains is the right choice or not. Terrible post.Don't agree. So what you are effectively saying is that if there is ANY contact its a penalty?! Like I said earlier, you would have got laughed off the park yesteryear. Such a shame that most others agree with your point of view. Anyway, I won't change my opinion as I suspect you won't change yours. If you, and others, can watch stuff like that and not feel any sense of disgust, then I fear that the game has now become nothing more than a stage for the benefit of the third rate actors to inflict their "craft" on the gullible public. Here's a question...can you imagine players of the calibre of Duncan Edwards, Bobby Charlton, George Best, Nobby Stiles and others of that ilk acting like that? My last word on the subject.
I don't think that applies anymore though - the header goes nowhere near him, so that wouldn't get flagged, he clearly gets back onside & then sets off for the ball - you distinctly see his movements doing that, there is a step & to the side & then he runs for the ball.@montpelier you're needlessly overcomplicating things. If lamela is offside, when llorente flicks the ball, it's offside. Nothing happens to reset the play.
but they lead the league in the Pundit Cup
Eh Richard? If that hits Wijnaldum it's a deflection so cannot make Kane onside. It's the Lovren touch that causes the debate.Jon Moss and his assistant were worried about Lovren but dear old Richard Keys believed Wijnaldum played Kane onside for Spurs first penalty. Moot point as Kane missed the penalty mind you.

No man, that's not how offside works. If Lamela is offside when llorente touches the ball, he's offside. The only way he can get back onside is if the play ends and a new one begins. Since that doesn't happen he's offsideI don't think that applies anymore though - the header goes nowhere near him, so that wouldn't get flagged, he clearly gets back onside & then sets off for the ball - you distinctly see his movements doing that, there is a step & to the side & then he runs for the ball.
I think it's debatable even under the circumstances that it proceeds to a VAR - matter of opinion anyway, I'm not saying I'm definitely right.
And back in the simpler real world, it just never gets spotted, obviously.
I know, can’t believe we are talking about two penalties that you’ve seen given before, yet our stoneWaller is hardly mentioned... and when it is its with a laugh because it’s funny when a young kid is poleaxedThe first penalty wasn't scored, so irrespective of the circumstances it was given in it had no consequences on the result.
The second penalty was blatant and impacted the result, but rightly. Can't believe this is still an issue.
aye, maybe you're right, there's no actual break in the play, that's for sureNo man, that's not how offside works. If Lamela is offside when llorente touches the ball, he's offside. The only way he can get back onside is if the play ends and a new one begins. Since that doesn't happen he's offside
And why is that? My opinion is as good as anyone's. "Newbie" what does that mean? I suspect that I have far more experience of playing and watching the game than yourself.Posts like this make me wonder if allowing the newbies to post in the mains is the right choice or not. Terrible post.

Not pointing it out to you mate. You may have played better and watched more football and even may have better posts. But it's posts such as above which piss me off. O just feel that when newbies posted in the newbie groups, the quality of posts were better. But that's just like my opinion, man.And why is that? My opinion is as good as anyone's. "Newbie" what does that mean? I suspect that I have far more experience of playing and watching the game than yourself.
Just a lurker who posts from time to time. Lack of self awareness, don't think so.Says he with all of 400 posts - like that justifies anything newbie or not
Terrible post? Stunning lack of self awareness.
Arguably that’s the kind of attitude that makes him a really good managerSuch an unbearable fecker. Losing his mind when 2-0 up with 5 seconds left on the clock.
Arguably? Pfft. Maybe. But it definitely makes him a bell end.Arguably that’s the kind of attitude that makes him a really good manager
Didn’t they win the champions league a couple of weeks back?He gets away with a lot. He also hasn't won a trophy yet.
Long may that continue
