Every body else see it as banter. Professional athletes are public figure and part of their job is to own it up.
He's not a robot, he's a human being. His career is on a massive downward spiral and you can see it's had an impact on him mentally and he's struggling with the abuse. I've got no problem with banter about players, but plenty have crossed the line and to me it just seems in bad taste. It's not really funny anymore when you can see that the player is finding it really tough and has lost confidence in himself.
This thread for example, I have no issue with it. It's just a bit of banter/laughs between rivals fans, it's perfectly fine and due to the nature of football rivalry will always happen. There's a difference between that though, and outright targeting him when he's playing, or sending him messages etc on social media. That's where I draw the line.
