Haha pity yourself, you are a liverpool supporter on a Manchester United forum crying about people criticizing the club you support and by extension (delusional self importance) you, always the victim.
None of the criticisms you made had anything to do with football? This is a football forum.

United fans have been remarkably patient with the last 2 managerial appointments. Mourinho still has a semblance of support among the faithful, particularly those of the match going variety, so your spoilt fans jibe doesn't hold water.

Unlike Liverpool, the board at Chelsea clearly value success above all else, such is the level of their ambition. I'm sure to a Liverpool fan Conte's sacking would appear harsh, but that's only because you have become accustomed to mediocrity over the years. Liverpool fans have been harping on about progression for 3 decades, how much longer are you prepared to chase that carrot before you decide it's time to adopt a less forgiving/more demanding attitude. In other words, how much time is Liverpool's lastest bastion of hope allowed before you realise he's just another false prophet?
I didn't say all United fans are spoilt just ones like yourself. Whats your solutions then you keep talking about sacking Mourinho and Klopp who do they hire in their place? And what are you talking about deciding to choose a less forgiving attitude what does that actually mean? We can't spend like City do or pay the wages they do.

Klopp will be given time until we are no longer moving forward as a club.

Well,

If they don't get out their f*cking group after all the money they've spent then that's actually shocking. Even we've not managed to cock the CL group stages up.
We haven't faced 2 top teams though. No chance for us to qualify if we were up against PSG and Napoli

Valencia and Juventus are top teams. Liverpool would struggle against Valencia.

Besides that you’re leaving out the part where they couldn’t beat Red Star Belgrade.

Valencia are not comparable to Napoli at all. Valencia are currently 11th in La Liga. Red Star away was a proper feck up though and will probably cost them progression.

Oh, you were calling me spoilt personally. You're probably right to be fair

Even if there are no viable candidates for the position, that is no reason to keep a manager on who is clearly not going to bring success to the club. Surely it is better to take a punt on a relatively unknown quantity than to simply settle for mediocrity. No?

It's 2020 and Liverpool have yet to secure that elusive league title they crave so desperately under Klopp's leadership (or any trophy of significance for that matter) but they have finished in the top 4 every year for the last 4 years, do you keep him on?

9/10 times Juve beat us comfortably in that away tie, they were wasteful.

Had we come up against PSG - Neymar, Mbappe and Cavani would all be much more clinical.

Yes. Of course you do. They've shown obvious progress, mostly exciting football and had some great results under him, along with bringing through a couple youngsters. Why on earth would they sack him?

5 years in the job, transfer expenditure equal to that of your rivals, even exceeding them in some cases and no success - in terms of trophies - to speak of.

How long can you play the progression card before you call it for what it is, failure?

Europa League, League Cup, 2nd place in EPL, FA Cup Final, 2 consecutive CL knockout stages qualifications (first time in 4 years) - if that's not bringing success, I don't know what is. Beating City to the EPL title, when they have better players in literally every single position except the goalkeeper?

Nobody is catching Manchester City in the league, and if Liverpool are dumped out of the CL group stages, will the Scousers finally admit the fact that they have gone backwards this season under their "revered" Klopp?

Or do we have to still have to endure their incessant harping on about Liverpool's continuing renaissance under him?
Who could replace Klopp who would do better? Whenever people talk about Klopp being shite/5 finals/in dire need of sacking etc, they never seem to mention the replacement.

There was no mention of sacking him in that post, just that the scenario would represent regression.

I've been told multiple times how they are suddenly going to go on a quarter century of success while we will have to settle for the indignity of where they where the last 25 years. No mention of City, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal putting a spanner in the works.
I mean I get it Liverpool are doing well at the moment but what is their yard stick? Their fans stay relatively quiet when they were struggling for top 4, the minute they have a sniff of winning something they suddenly become the loud mouth fan.

I don’t know how many times I’ve heard Robertson is the best LB in the world, VVD is the best CB in the world, Salah is the best winger in the world. They are good players but having one decent doesn’t really mean anything. They might win a trophy but at the moment the league looks like City, the Champions League could go either way. Their best hope is the FA cup. Hardly the sign of a team with 3 of the best players in the world.

It's too early to say that given they are just 2 pts behind with City going soon to Watford and Chelsea while having an injury crisis. City are a serious Ederson injury away from having problems in the league.

Currently Liverpool are on course to 90+ pts which would be their most successful league campaign ever in terms of pts per game.

Yeah United fans have been spoilt with success, i'm not throwing it out there as an insult it's true! We've not been in the mix for trophies for a decade, so any manager who shows promise we're obviously going to give him more time than you guys.

That's the problem there are no viable candidates available hence why you guys won't sack Mourinho till at least the end of season. No point sacking Klopp if there's no obvious candidates. And if City are going to smash 100 points every season it's going to take something miraculous for anyone else to win it.

We're a joke now, too.
Juventus thought so. Ronaldo (may) thought so. Turns out we turned Juventus over right in their own backyard.
A disjointed United in Mourinho's dreaded "3rd year" still carries more fear factor than Arsenal in Wenger's last years. They got destroyed by United's U23 team (With Rashford as the spearhead). That sums it all.

If United is a small club, it is successful. But United is a big club and spending 400m under Jose. Europa League, League Cup? It is the trophy most big club just don't give a damn.

If it is true, you need to ask your manager why they bought so many players with high price but no one better than City? Maybe he just can't get the best out of his player and made his player look weaker but actually they are not.

btw, United got beaten by a lot of teams who have weaker players in every single position, Derby, walford,Sevilla...etc
If beating City is so-called success ,clearly , he bring more failure than success.

We got made a fool of by Derby and Wolves.

Wenger's Arsenal had good games too.

I wouldn't even class Juve a good game. 9/10 times they put us away comfortably. We got lucky there. The game plan seemed to be stay in the game and hope for some luck - which seems to have remained the game plan since.

Arsenal won the odd big game too (usually the second leg against Bayern).

Been having a really good long hard think about this & I think I’ve generally sussed out LFC now until we all disappear into the black hole lads. So no need to get our knickers in a twist.

What I think after incalculable agonising is this:

LFC are generally better than we think they are, but also not as good as they think they are.

Happy to help :)

3 times in a row you won the fair play table? Your demotion of TTA for Gomez and midfield pick of Milner, Henderson and Wijnaldum, would suggest, bollocks to creativity, lets kick it out of them. Then let's get Joe to throw the ball into their box for the big lads.

Each booking looked justified and Milner having got away with his first roughhouse tackle, then played to try and injure players with each tackle. Very fortunate to still be on the field.

Fluked, bossed, once in a hundred kind of game is all hyperbole and largely irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. We won the game because we scored more goals than they did and that's the only thing history will remember. This United side under Jose has a habit of scoring late goals. Some even believe it's a strategy, as crazy as it sounds, but who I am to doubt CAF wisdom.

PSG would most certainly be considered favourites for the tie, but to suggest they would be overwhelmingly so is a tad extreme. Jose Mourinho teams are notoriously difficult to beat, particularly in European games, he would set the team up not to lose; swamp the midfield, dug in, close space, bully the opposition etc - it's the only thing he is remotely competent at these days. Napoli would be 50-50 in my opinion.

The best they can hope for is second place and you win nothing finishing second. Liverpool hasn't won a league title in 30 years, second place for them is simply not good enough. Don't let the Liverpool fans on this board fool you, most scousers are desperate to win the league first and foremost - at least the ones I know are.
Sure but it’s not like this is happening all the time for Jose in Europe. Last season you got knocked out by Sevilla and this one couldn’t beat Valencia at home and lost to Juve at home. Let’s be fair and say there was little strategy in your victory, Juve wasted chances and you nicked it. History won’t remember a random group game, Juve will likely go far and if I’m being brutally honest .. you probably won’t. That isn’t me having a dig, my own team prob won’t make it past the groups!

PSG would be very clear favourites at home to United. I don’t think you’d be smashed but definitely they are clearly a superior side and likely to beat you most times. Napoli away 50/50? That’s optimistic at best, they ruined Liverpool at home who are clearly a better side than United this season.

I get that, and of course they’re desperate to win the league. The fact is though that City are practically unstoppable. Liverpool are doing very well to keep up the pace and are winning games in third gear. They’re currently a very effective unit, something which United clearly aren’t right now.

All this said, they spent a shit ton and Klopp needs to be winning a trophy in the next 2 seasons. It’s all well and good talking about progress etc, but when you invest heavily you expect silverware. It’s not like he has a Poch situation where he’s had to work with very little.

Probably true.

Think they are at a crossroad right now.

1. Win the next 5 games and they'd have the best start to a season ever (including the great teams from 70's and 80's).

2. Winning the next 4 PL games but failing to progress in the CL would be still nice for them imo because it would help to go all out for the PL and with so many points in the bag they'll be able to break the 90-point barrier.

3. Failing to progress in the CL and losing say 4 pts in the next 4 PL games might seriously dampen their season (in case City are faultless themselves).

If pool don't get out that group after the money they spent its a serious failure, would it help them in the league ? not for me as they would be put in the Europa League, which I think Klopp would go and try win. if they were willing to say we are putting are youth team out in it then yeah it might work out for them. the fact they are doing so well in the league despite not playing great in a lot of the games is a bit alarming as a United fan tho, they seem to be getting the little bits of luck which could help them win the league.

He'd be an idiot to risk their title challenge for the EL. Which he isn't.

They'are having the best start to a league campaign (ever), Klopp's is a good manager, let's keep some perspective..
yes like I said they have had the little bits of luck go there way in the league, but lets put it in perspective they spent a bomb in the summer and are on the verge of being dumped out the CL in the group stages, Klopp has done a good job but he lacks idea's if the game is not going to plan.

Even the best managers make mistakes. Guardiola does some stupid things from time to time like playing Gundogan (who can't run) at Anfield and ruining their CL campaign last season.

Liverpool and Klopp don't know how to lose gracefully. Always whining
Yes Mourinho in fairness in his time at United has always taken defeat with grace.

Top managers don't usually take defeat well. Klopp made some valid points about gamesmanship and time wasting after the game but none of that hid from the fact that we were still outplayed.

We are talking about mistakes. Any manager makes big mistakes at times, including the best managers.

Klopp is struggling to find the proper balance between attack and defence but they have made huge progress in the league.

Last season they were lucky with the CL draw and this season it shows. But struggling in a group with two other top 10 teams in Europe doesn't make them mugs. In a cup competition luck plays a big role. Their fans didn't want to admit that they were lucky to reach the final last season and took their CL form for a clear sign that they are already among the very best, especially after the expensive signings in the summer. Which was a bit delusional and now they are facing a reality check.

They're still great, 2 points of top and with a big chance to qualify still in the CL.
Klopp only shows what good spending can do a for a club.
I understand what Klopp meant, ref treated like butchers which they're not.

We were not only lucky imo. We got fortunate with the draw, which simply happens from time to time in cup competitions, and had some decisions in our favour, yes. But we reached the final on merit as we deserved to go through both against City and Roma.

Still think we're a top 10 club in Europe atm, which is "among the very best" for me. No one would fancy playing us in a two-legged KO round.

You topped a very easy group and then drew the worst Porto side for years. Then you benefitted from refree mistakes against City (including the crucial first goal at Anfield) and then played Roma who aren't exactly among the best teams. If this is not luck, good luck.
