Real and Barca don't really have the draw in England they do elsewhere across the continent, most English kids grow up dreaming about playing for the biggest English clubs. So maybe that could work in our favour. He's sensational but I'm now just awaiting the day Real or Barca declare their interest and we're out of it.
Fingers crossed mate. It would really change things at OT if we landed him.Real and Barca don't really have the draw in England they do elsewhere across the continent, most English kids grow up dreaming about playing for the biggest English clubs. So maybe that could work in our favour.
If Greenwood is as good as you say why isn’t he anywhere near our first team? Genuine question I’ve not seen him play. I don’t see how he could be equated to Sancho though. He's sensational but I'm now just awaiting the day Real or Barca declare their interest and we're out of it.
Imo Greenwood is equally talented but i regard them as the two best youngsters in world football, that I've seen. Why not have both? They'll both be better than any attacker we have in the first team right now.
I agree, make him and his agent a offer they cannot refuse. He is perfect for our right side, we havent had a proper RW/RF in years. We need to be all over it this summer, big money, big wages, just be absolutely gagging for his signature, beg him.
What year are you in? There’s nothing at all to suggest he’d rather go to Spain than join us.He's sensational but I'm now just awaiting the day Real or Barca declare their interest and we're out of it.

If we keep them and offload all our other rubbish we can still easily afford him. No need to lose them when we have at least 6 others that can leave first. Go all out for him while still keeping the squad a strong one. Then when hopefully Chong, Greenwood and Gomes come through get rid of the likes of Sanchez and Lukaku.I agree, make him and his agent a offer they cannot refuse. If we offload Lukaku and Sanchez we can afford the best RW and CB money can buy.
He's only just turned 17, hasn't played much with our u23 squad and he's still not quite ready physically, Iorfa got the better of him when we played Wolves and he's as close to a senior CB that he's played against. He'll probably make his debut before the end of the season, supposedly he was in contention for Reading but he was injured. If Greenwood is as good as you say why isn’t he anywhere near our first team? We let Hazard slip through our fingers because SAF didnt want to pay his agent the 6m agent fee he demanded. I hope the board sanctions an offer than he and his agent will find very difficult to refuse. We can do it if we want toSancho will be the first time since Hazard was on the market and he had his pick. It was a decision that would shape things for a while, and Chelsea have won what, 3 titles since he came.
Sancho reminds me a lot of a young Hazard. When he’s stronger in 2 or 3 years he’ll be unstoppable.
I think his Dortmund move shows England is not the be all and end all for this kid. Think he’s got Madrid all over him. They’ve tried to sign him before and will do again when the inevitable auction begins. Genuine star quality that Madrid crave. Reckon he’ll move after Euro 2020. IF he rips that up, to the Bernabeu he goes.Real and Barca don't really have the draw in England they do elsewhere across the continent, most English kids grow up dreaming about playing for the biggest English clubs. I don't think moving out of England to further his career is anything to read into, he just knows Dortmund will give him game time and allow him to leave without much fuss. I'm more than willing to bet that he'll end up back in England, not Spain.I think his Dortmund move shows England is not the be all and end all for this kid. Think he’s got Madrid all over him. Talent wise I'd say he is. He should be near the first team soon because he's far too good to hold back. I remember seeing Sancho in England youth games and you just knew he was something else. I couldn't believe it when City were letting him go.If Greenwood is as good as you say why isn’t he anywhere near our first team? Genuine question I’ve not seen him play. I don’t see how he could be equated to Sancho though.
I'm basing it on the fact that he left City to play in Germany. Obviously he got fast tracked to the first team fairly quick, but he's obviously not bothered about playing abroad. Hence why he may see them as more desirable. What year are you in? There’s nothing at all to suggest he’d rather go to Spain than join us.
And way too early to say Greenwood is as good, but I share your optimism, he’s clearly special.
I don't see why not. He'd be going to the biggest club in the country, on massive wages, with international teammates alongside him and a (practically) guaranteed first team place. If I'm being honest, I'm not sure we'd be in his top two options of PL moves right now unless he has some affinity to us that i don't know about.
We should absolutely go all out for Sancho. No matter what it takes. Guaranteed world class player right there. He's sensational but I'm now just awaiting the day Real or Barca declare their interest and we're out of it.

Madrid will have Hazard and Bale so I'm not sure they would be able to afford Sancho next summer. I think it would be perfect time for United to go in for him. We won't get another free run basically.I think Madrid is currently the most likely destination for him. None of City, Liverpool, PSG or Chelsea have a huge need for him right now with their options.
Barca have Dembele. So there's really us and Madrid that can offer him first team football. Madrid sadly have us beat on prestige currently so the only way we compete is by offering him and Borussia huge sums when the bidding starts for him.
And there we have itDidn't he hate Manchester? Pretty sure Madrid or London will be his next destination.
Manchester is 2 hours and some change away from London, it isn't exactly a different galaxy, he said he left City in search of first team football, and that he's gotten over being away from home because he has been away from home since year 7 in school. I don't think there's any foundation to "he hates manchester"Didn't he hate Manchester? Pretty sure Madrid or London will be his next destination.
Can't remember where I read it, but it was something along the lines of, he was homesick (only moved to Manchester form London for 2 years) and wanted to go back to London, City obviously wouldn't sell him to an English club so he moved to Dortmund knowing they'd give him his chance. Was even said to have left Manchester for London when and refused to go back during the "saga".And there we have it
Hopefully you're mistaken but that's put a nail in it already if you're right.
To be fair that's just generic footballer lingo, maybe hate was a strong word, but I'm sure I read he missed London.Manchester is 2 hours and some change away from London, it isn't exactly a different galaxy, he said he left City in search of first team football, and that he's gotten over being away from home because he has been away from home since year 7 in school. Let's be honest, this kid is looking like the next world class talent, the type that any club with the funds to afford him will be after. He will have his choice of clubs and it's going to come down to what his preferences are.I'm fully convinced now. He's the 'Rooney' if the current English generation. Like we did all those years ago, we should do whatever it takes to get him here and it will end up a bargain. We are also one of the only top teams that has a bad need of a player in that exact position. We can offer him first team football straight away. We can also offer him the likely hood that Gomes and Greenwood will come through in the same team once their development continues. Even if it takes a deal while loaning him back for one year then get it done.
Edit: as for Barca and Madrid, this may be the only time we are more attractive than them (ala Rooney). We have an open route right now to the first team and can offer him a way to challenge for trophies in his home country.
This is a good point. I was thinking we should get him in 2020 summer because I have a feeling he would want another year to develop in Dortmund. However, United's best hope of convincing him is probably this summer. The right side of our team is such a problem that I'm sure United will spend some money on there this season. So if the strategy was to buy him in 2020, that 2019 signing would ultimately be a player that Sancho would have to compete with which would give him some doubt about his future at United starting from 2020. If United try and go for him this summer, there is little need to convince him he'll be the guaranteed starter as United are desperate to shore up that side.Madrid will have Hazard and Bale so I'm not sure they would be able to afford Sancho next summer. I think it would be perfect time for United to go in for him. We won't get another free run basically.
Didn't they just sign city youngster diaz as well and already have the likes of Asensio and Vinicius junior in their ranks?Real Madrid are in need of a new injection of class to bolster them. They do things in bunches, so Hazard and him in in the same summer is not unfeasible, and again, Sancho's ability to play both flanks is just a dream for them. They'll offload Bale to some sucker (hopefully not us) to fund the purchase, if possible, but either way, they have every reason to go in for him.
with him saying that he's pretty much gotten over being away from home because he's been away from home since year 7 in school, I very much doubt he'd be "homesick", at least not to a point of refusing a move, especially when, like I said, Manchester is only 2 and a half hours away from London. I'm sure he missed family and friends, but its not a big deal, I mean, the guy went to Germany for his chance. To be fair that's just generic footballer lingo, maybe hate was a strong word, but I'm sure I read he missed London.
I could obviously be wrong and for some reason that's in my head?
He will slot right in and his smooth movement will provide just the right amount of penetration needed. We lack that special someone who can push his way into a dangerous area and make that backline shiver. I can just picture him in a United-jersey keeping the width before making his way all the way down the channels in from behind to make the final shot. Perfect for United who sometimes are struggling with full completion coming up against lower bottom teams. Can't think of a more perfect player to fill a gaping hole in our team.
Yeah, he's absolutely perfect IMO. He'll also give us real width whereas the likes of Martial, Rashford, Sanchez and Lingard prefer to be in more central areas. He will slot right in and his smooth movement will provide just the right amount of penetration needed. Those two signings makes too much sense. The odds of that happening is slim to none but even if the 2019 summer window ended up in us getting just the two of them it would still be seen as one of our best transfer windows of all time. The problem is that both of them are going to have the choice to go anywhere and as we all know Spain is a very lucrative destination for these young lads.Let break the bank for him and De Ligt, we desperately need a CB and a RW, they seem like the real deal and are really young. We can have those positions fixed for the next 10 years.
Enough of signing medium players, lets sign the greatest young available.
