Hasn't China now made the eating of wild animals illegal as a result of this?
China could ban wet markets. More than likely they will still operate on the black market. Hunger is a masterful influencer and people would rather take their chances eating all kinds of things than starve.Well if it’s proven the disease has come from China and from a wet market I expect a lot of pressure from the Western world on China to do something about it. The problem is they are blaming America for it already. The political side of this is as much concerning as the actual outbreak.
From watching him on the news I don’t trust him, he seems nervous and scared. He’s always fecking smiling too the big brained nerd.Vallance is that guy in every disaster movie who makes critical mistakes at the wrong time. Watch this space.
After the SARS outbreak, they banned these 'wet markets' (meat markets full of live wild animals in awful conditions) because - shock horror - SARS started in a market just like the one in Wuhan.Hasn't China now made the eating of wild animals illegal as a result of this?
That's your first mistake.Hand on face.
it's madness, check out the webcams for most of the London tourist attractions - people are carrying on like nothing is happening. We need enforced lockdown, not 'advisory'.There is no way unfortunately that the UK finishes this without thousands and thousands of people dead . Worst thing is that people here don't care about advisories and are still going to pubs etc believing that somehow it won't be them
Do you have people there who will take care of you if you fall ill? If you become seriously ill who will take you to a hospital? Why do you think so?
Hahahaha etc. What a dream team.Tweet

We even had Chinese doctor who tried to warn ghe world in november, but their government(or the virus) killed him bwfore anyone believed him.Vallance is that guy in every disaster movie who makes critical mistakes at the wrong time. Watch this space.
I should be alright then, I’m only going for a week
there's a very, very low chance that he will ever require hospital treatment. and even if he did, he can just get an uber or something. it's certainly not risky enough to literally pack everything up, upheave your whole life and move to another country over.Do you have people there who will take care of you if you fall ill? The skies are full of bats in central Sydney and millions of people live there. You can't get much more contact than that. The population density is totally different, these viruses don't easily go from animals to humans, so you need to have an awful lot of contact. For example several millions of people surrounded by a tropical forest.
Nope, though I can probably go to the hospital before I need a ventilator. And the only contact I have with the outside world are with Uber drivers who bring me food (unfortunately I have no kitchen), so in general I think that I have a good chance of not getting infected in the first place.Do you have people there who will take care of you if you fall ill? Surely Uber drivers will be high chance of being infected as they will have come into contact with loads of people.Nope, though I can probably go to the hospital before I need a ventilator. It is something I have been thinking about though, definitely.
If this was someone who has been killed, the police would investigate who was the cause and they would be tried in a court of law. After the SARS outbreak, they banned these 'wet markets' (meat markets full of live wild animals in awful conditions) because - shock horror - SARS started in a market just like the one in Wuhan.
Unfortunately, the wild animal meat lobby is very powerful, and soon after SARS died down, they petitioned the government with enough pressure to get the meat markets reopened again.
Whilst there is a temporary closure of these monstrosities, it's expected after COVID-19 has died down, that the wild meat markets will reopen again. Twats.

Why do you think you will not catch it from them? And the only contact I have with the outside world are with Uber drivers who bring me food (unfortunately I have no kitchen), so in general I think that I have a good chance of not getting infected in the first place.
I know, but starvation is hardly an option. I don’t touch them, and then wash my hands immediately. I know it is not an ideal situation.Surely Uber drivers will be high chance of being infected as they will have come into contact with loads of people.
Good man , stay clean , stay healthy.I know, but starvation is hardly an option. I don’t touch them, and then wash my hands immediately. I know it is not an ideal situation.
Actually, what is an ideal situation?I know, but starvation is hardly an option. I don’t touch them, and then wash my hands immediately. I know it is not an ideal situation.
Well unlike Iran and NKorea being the only rogue nations chasing after nuclear weapons, China aren't the only ones with these wet markets, making it much harder to "exert pressure" on them and not the rest of the world. The bat soup video, for example, was filmed in some minor country that no one even remembers in SE asia. The world should really exert maximum pressure on China to keep these wet markets shut down permanently.
Basically more critical than keeping Iran and NKorea free of nuclear weapons.
As long as they wash their hands and dont sneeze over the food we should be fineSurely Uber drivers will be high chance of being infected as they will have come into contact with loads of people.
touchéIt is when he's surrounded by thick, fat cnuts with guns who are stupid and uninsured.
It's a vanilla situation compared to what most of us face everyday. It's pretty ideal if you want to avoid the virus in relative terms.I know, but starvation is hardly an option. I don’t touch them, and then wash my hands immediately. I know it is not an ideal situation.
Exactly. There is absolutely no need for them, and endagered species are still being sold. The health risk is huge. The world should really exert maximum pressure on China to keep these wet markets shut down permanently.

Is this because Trump called it the Chinese virus?Tweet
