He's talking about himself yes but this is what it means to players to be involved in such a massive thing. Few if any would want to miss it for optional surgery.
Especially with the mentality Rashford seems to have, being apart of a team that wins or even looses an international final could propel him to further heights.

Injuries and poor form of other players or bad results could've had Rashford playing more. he was always going to join the squad and take his chances. You never know he could still come on in extra time and score a winning goal in a final. Sterling could tear his hamstring he's ran so much. Hell, even just getting a few minutes in a final and contribute something would be worth it.

going on what he’s shown in his cameos and indeed in his 2021 from in general 99% it’ll be Sancho Saka or Grealish coming in. Not that it matters. He’s there. It’s a good experience. No point trying to rip on it.

Yes of course.

If England are getting dominated, Rashford on the counter late on could be a real option for Southgate

Who gives a feck about club football.

he’s part of the squad, he would have played more if there were injuries to Kane and Sterling (thankfully there weren’t).

He’s not making up the numbers.

pleased for him.
He is making up the numbers. Clearly.
A barely used Sub.

If he's injured he shouldn't be there. If he's not injured the manager doesn't really think he's good enough for a start

5 at the back really does worry me and wonder if we will have the numbers to hurt them the other end.

I said that before Germany mind.

Sounds spot on, England losing, Rashford on for the final 17 minutes or so and then the CAF tear into him for not doing anything productive in those minutes

So what if he’s ‘making up the numbers’. The manager doesn’t think Grealish should start, or that Sancho will only start if Sako is injured.

you need a squad. Rashford is a good player that will play if needed.

Couldn’t care less if non-English United fans think he should not be there. He is. Hopefully he wins tonight - doesn’t matter whether he plays or not.

I’m waiting for someone to say he isn’t starting for England because he’s Injured.

Absolutely, not everyone can be first 11. Rashford will come on if needed and I hope he does.

Nah I just know you can't jump in a pool if you've got a back/shoulder problem that requires surgery.

You don't need any sort of medical training for that just common sense.
So you’ve no informed opinion, you’re just generalising. If he were so fragile he couldn’t jump into a pool, then he wouldn’t be there, as the medical professionals would have advised him to have an operation or he’d be under directions of a physio. My backs fecked and I can jump into a pool and it has zero effect, so maybe your common sense is very misinformed.

Has to improve for club and country. His place isn't guaranteed for either. First, he needs surgery.

Come off it. His confidence is down at the moment so this was was always on the cards sadly. Come back stronger next season Rashy, we love you mate!

Can't be easy coming on as a sub at the very end to only take a penalty. Hard to get a feel for the ball or confidence.

It would help to look at the ball when kicking it though

Some stupid posts already.
On another note, going to miss the start of the season for absolutely nothing.

If you need evidence he thinks he’s a worldie. You can forgive a miss but that? Text book Rashford. You knew it was happening.

FECK THIS FORUM!

He’s OUR player ffs! given 2 minutes @ right back & expected to take a crucial penalty!!!

WE SHOULD ROUND AROUND THE LADS AS WE DID BECKHAM BUT NO THE CAF SHOW THEIR ARSES!

Anyone criticising a lad willing to come on & take a penalty is an idiot!

Love him to death. He'll get shat on but was thrown into an impossible situation after the coach fecked it all game. feck England and feck Southgate, United fans need to get behind Rashford as he's one of ours and he'll be a great player for us.

feck all the haters, you're all fecking cnuts coming in here and not supporting him and get the feck out of this thread.
