We need more tracks like Monza!
50/50 i think. At sprint race yesterday Lewis cant get past Norris and took him about 20+laps to get past Norris today. Who knows with Ricciardo. If Mercedes didn't feck the pit stop Hamilton would've been clear of Norris and Verstappen. Would he have caught Ricciado?
Yeah probably. No chance he catches the McLarens.why has Bottas given up?
I take it he knows about Sergio's 5 second pen, is he holding back and settling for 3rd?
Umm use the run off like multiple drivers have done this weekend when no room and then yield the position againThis thread
For what? I'd love to know what people expected Max to do? He didn't have the space which resulted in him hitting the curb. He didn't try to hit Hamilton or anything, was bounced into him.
Yeah I don't think he would've. Credit to McLaren, they've had good pace this weekend. Really happy to see them get the 1-2.50/50 i think. At sprint race yesterday Lewis cant get past Norris and took him about 20+laps to get past Norris today. Who knows with Ricciardo.
Nope. Watch it again.I do think Max had a right to go down the outside, but Lewis left him room and also left him room on the next corner too - he didn’t go right to the apex.
But Norris and Alonso are his guys.
Actually not sure if you are being serious about this.. a fecking car landed on top of him. The lack of humanity from people is hilariousLewis tried repeatedly to reverse back on track which he obviously wouldn’t do if he was hurt. Pretty safe to say that Max was aware of this since his car was literally on top of Lewis’ when this was happening.
Well he did struggle to get past Lando the first time. Not quite sure he would have been able to get past both of them. Just conjecture now though. If Mercedes didn't feck the pit stop Hamilton would've been clear of Norris and Verstappen. Would he have caught Ricciado?
This. It's a racing incident and nobody will get a penalty for it. Fanboys will disagree and whine though.
McLaren love this track. Last year Sainz was on course for win also.Yeah I don't think he would've. Credit to McLaren, they've had good pace this weekend. Really happy to see them get the 1-2.
Can see why this thread appears so childish during racesBoth Lewis and Max fanboys today:
This is basically it for me. The handling of the Silverstone incident for me should directly influence how they handle this one for the sake of coherence.Looking through it I really think that collision is more on Max then Lewis. I do think Max had a right to go down the outside, but Lewis left him room and also left him room on the next corner too - he didn’t go right to the apex. Max was never in front and he knew that putting the car there he would crash. To me this has to be a penalty, if you give Lewis a penalty in Silverstone you have to give Max a penalty here.
If they hadn’t given a penalty to Lewis in that race, I’d say this shouldn’t be a penalty either. For me both are racing. But Silverstone was slightly more Lewis’ fault then Hamilton, and this is slightly more Max’s fault than Lewis. So, you have to penalise both if you want to be fair and set that precedent.
If you had watched the race you would have seen that the race line was to hug the right curb into the corner and hug the left curb out of the corner. To leave a cars width would have meant there was no way of making the corner at the speed they were carrying.Hmm, I don’t think that’s really true. I’ll caveat again I’ve only seen the one replay but this:
Shows there was room, and also that Max was alongside going into T2.
Not me, yes I am a Lewis fan, bit I said before the crash, I would love Riccado to win. Both Lewis and Max fanboys today:
Wouldn't trust Mazepin to drive me to the airport. Think Wan-Bissaka would do better job at Haas.
He would only try and grope you on the way anyway. Mazepin that is, not AWB.Wouldn't trust Mazepin to drive me to the airport. Think Wan-Bissaka would do better job at Haas.
