This was my first year of not getting the Giants mlb.tv package (includes radio). The late game times and a new work schedule (weekly calls to Europe at 5am) just made it a waste. It was a bit different for me this day as I wasn’t experiencing a Boston implosion in Baltimore & watching two HRs against NY in the final two innings like 2011. It was an unmitigated joy to watch that utter twat Papelbon give up hit after hit to a historically bad Oriole team.

Would usually agree with 2 but it's harder now they've got T. Turner and Scherzer. They brought a lot of joy to us Nats fans (and let's face it, we haven't had much of that since the trade).

Yankees at Fenway for a one game playoff is as good as it gets in baseball. 43 years ago they did the same thing and Red Sox fans still say Bucky f*^%#ng Dent after his home run in that classic.

Baseball is weird. Can be the most boring thing ever but playoff baseball is very tense. Too long yes. The Ken Burns thing was great though.
