People writing this guy off were always barmy. This guy had a 15+ goal and 15+ assist domestic season at the age of 19. I don’t care what league it was in. That’s the type of thing only the Messi’s, Henry’s, (proper peak) Hazard’s do. He’s got way more to give still.

Great first half, disappeared second half. Still, probably our best player today

Rangnick needs to stop playing these games of switching the wingers randomly btw. Sancho was killing it on the left and he just decided to switch him to the right for no reason where he just didn't do much

Like Pogba, heavily involved in the first half. Everything good more or less came from him in the attacking third. Unfortunately, he was really quiet in the second half and didn't have much impact on the game.

The only good thing out of the current team currently. He's on form and looks like the player I thought we're signing finally.

Great the last couple of games, this was the player I was expecting when we signed him.

He fades, but the last few games he started very brightly, making good runs off the ball, being more aggressive on it, taking guys on, so much better.

Utd should be on him all Summer about his fitness, can't afford to spend the first few months getting into match shape in the PL.

The one bright spark today. We really need him to keep kicking on and become a key part of the new team after the rebuild.

He's finally settling in. Did lots of good today but I think he needs to release the ball sooner than he does, and not just for the early chance he had.

Getting better. I feel for him a bit. This is probably one of the most difficult first seasons a player can have at a new team. Hope he keeps his head down and keeps improving.

Outstanding today, but he could have stepped up late in the game while we were chasing the match winner.

He's been very good over the last few games and we're just starting to see quality shining through.

He’s a country mile better than Rashford in current form. The left should be and will be his, as I said last summer
Doesn't really help us though does it as without Greenwood we have Rashford for the RW and he's not very good there.

Sancho was meant to be the solution for the RW. I thought that was the whole point of signing him?

He is playing better though.

He's playing well and it seems like he's enjoying his football in his favoured role on the left. It's also a pity the team can't maintain pressure for long periods of the game, because otherwise I think he'd look even better.

He's playing on the left right now I think is more to do with our central forward is Ronaldo. Ronaldo still like to drift to the left from time to time as his starting point. Rashford was more likely to step into Ronaldo shoe, while Sancho is smarter, and more comfortable to drift inside into more central position but still in supporting role in case Ronaldo is stuck on the left wing. In that same scenario, if it is Rashford, even when he move inside, he's running away from Ronaldo than providing an adequate out ball option. Rashford tactical understanding of occupying the pocket of space, or occupying central defenders is very poor. Against a crowded box, you can't always lose your market, so you need to impose your presence physically; or you provide option to get the forward time to getting back into the box. Rashford often did neither. He was only in mode to find shooting position or losing his marker(even when there is no space to run in behind).

Losing Greenwood clearly a big blow. Rashford on the left would require a better natural CF. This version of anonymous uninvolved Cavani doesn't help the matter switching Rashford and Sancho wings.

He is one of those natural ballers, reminds me of Eden Hazard, confidence and fitness is key......I'm not sure long term he fits in at United though, He is perfect for Man city football, the sort of team that keeps the ball with teammates who are intelligent in possession.

First choice on the left now. Well done to him and there’s better to come still am sure.

Now we need to find a RW :houllier:
I said in the summer that we should sign him for the LWF role and Rangnick has confirmed Sancho preferring the left side. Sancho wanting to play on the left is not a surprise.

We either give Amad a chance on the right next season or bring in someone like Antony from Ajax who is naturally left footed and looks a good fit on the right.

Looks like he has a huge future. If we want him we would do well to get in early because I think he’ll have better offers than us in another year. A bit like Tchouameni

I was just thinking that given Rashford's performances have fallen off a cliff, Sancho is our only good option on the left as well and a right footed RW might suit that. But it's more about the quality we can bring in and given Sancho can play on either side we'd have to see the lebel o talent available.

It's just sad that we went from an exciting young front three of Rashford Martial and Greenwood with Sancho coming to ... whatever this is that we have now.

I agree mate and it's disappointing with how things have developed with certain players. But it looks like Sancho is gaining confidence, which is good for us.

The way things have developed this season, signing a wide forward might be on the horizon. We need competition on the right and Antony is someone that potentially fits the profile.

And I'll be honest with you, I like watching Antony play, he's a very exciting player to watch.

We also need to think about CF position and and Sancho creativity it has to be someone who excels in running the channels/running in behind and can also link up play. The old school CF/poacher won't gel well with him as much it seems.

Pretty sure the current situation wasn't in his mind when he signed for a team that had just finished 2nd and added Varane, him and Ronaldo on top of it.

I haven't seen him alot, but Patrik Schick seems to be someone that ticks a quite a few boxes and could be someone that we can utilise as both a link man and target man.
