Marcus is playing like there is something weighing him down. Hopefully, it's only a temporary dip.

At any rate, I blame Lense -- wtf has he been doing every day? Lazy cnut.
Lense is training us in corner kicks, he’s doing his best. It’s Eric Ramsey you should have a go at, having barricaded the physio room playing Freud with Edison Cavani.

I like how he just goes about his business without overcomplicating things. The club is in shambles? who cares. Team mates are scrambling? who cares.

Gets on the end of disproportionate amount of chances. At this point it feels like it’s a given that he will be one on one with the keeper at least once per game.

Great cameo. Seems to have the right attitude. But the thing that worries me, he is another player that seems to lack that top level technical ability. Obviously didn’t watch any youth football, so maybe I’m wrong. His decision making though is miles ahead of Rashford right now.

Hopefully he will play a valuable role in our season.
What the heck are you talking about top level technical ability?

If someone is skillful enough that he can dribble past 3 players but only does it 25% of the time with the other 75% ends up in losing the ball due to bad decisions then I'd take someone who can perform decently and reliably for 75% of the time instead. Mistakes are costly these days.

Huge paise from Rangnick, very well deserved too. His work rate and movement is very good, no wonder he ends to with so many chances.

Cafe experts are not satisfied with his technical ability though.
I know. It’s ridiculous. Elanga might not make it right to the top but plenty without the absolute best technique do. Mane is a decent recent example. Even Salab has less pure technique than Martial if you look at them as teenagers. Pedro at Barcelona under Pep. Mentality, ability to learn in games/training, in game decision-making and luck with injuries make a massive long-term difference. Have seen some on here saying Saka at Arsenal is not that good technically, either, when almost any club in Europe would want a player like that in their team.

Lovely composure for the goal. Nice to see him place it rather than just leather it like some players might in that situation. He's having a very good first season and making a big case to be starting.

Not a criticism of him but I haven't yet seen any stand out attributes like pace or skill or passing. He's doing the basics very well but I hope it's not another young player who bursts onto the scene before fading.

I thought he'd fluffed the chance at first because he hit's it so early and the angle made it look like it was going wide. Great finish though, and great composure to do that when bearing down on goal. Spots the keeper has come too far over and is favouring his near post, and just slots it past him. Really cool stuff.

Love him. His passion and attitude is top notch. One of few who actually bother to press as well.
Rashford need to wake up, unless he wants a permanent spot on the bench

I like that he said he studied the keeper and knew that he favoured that side.

There's nothing wrong with that.

I watched Elanga come into the U23's so to see him do that last night was awesome. As a fan it's only second to winning a trophy.

Nor do I agree with Owen that every youth player has to be Giggs or Rooney.

But.....we've seen young players come in before and their sheer willingness to work and play without fear gives them an edge.

Let's see what happens once that first burst of energy and exuberance dissipates a bit.

I just mean in the sense he's not gonna make it kind of posts.

Obviously his minutes are a lot lower than everyone else but he’s average 22.39 pressures per 90 at the minute. That puts him in the 93rd percentile. Refreshing to have an attacker in that bracket when so many of ours are lazy as feck

Don't remember the last time I celebrated a goal this hard. Thanks for the memory Anthony.

One thing I just noticed was when he scored he immediately went to run to kick off again for the winner, but Bruno made him celebrate. Elite mentality.

Loved that. Glad they made him celebrate it though as it was a big moment and they deserved to soak it up.

You know the type sancho has. Where the ball seems more under his control at speed + first touch. Like I said, I never watched him in the youth setup, so could be wrong. Maybe I’m just trying not to get hyped over another academy graduate.

Brilliant. He got it done as a sub, but for now Ralf should start him over Rashford, whose direness is quickly becoming legend.

People talking crap about his "technical skill" meanwhile he has shown more of this supposed skill than Rashford in the last year or so. Not everyone need to be Iniesta

Would love to see him play through the middle, lead the press, could be a Vardy like 9

Right football is about getting the most out of your strengths, the problem with someone like Rashford is more his poor decision making and lack of awareness of his limitations.

Hopefully pressure won't get to him like it did to Marcus, because right now he's a light in the tunnel of shit season we're having.

Ralf's doing fantastic job on this lad, but the lad himself looks fearless without any guidance.

Some of the more experienced players can take a page out of his book regarding attitude.

Hes obviously hungry to play and perform and another reason why, when were shit with the experienced ones, youth is the way forward.
So happy he scored. He also joined twitter too.

He's going through a similar face that Greenwood did. Just doing the simple things, sticking to the 'book' and not doing anything too fancy.

Eventually though he will start to show his skills and beating his man when he becomes more settled.

Right now though, i'll take a run of goal scoring form like he's in!
