Horrible performance. 1 shot off-target and 0 key passes. 1 tackle and 0 interceptions. Surprised he wasn't substituted. Lost possession again and again, as he seemed to think he had far more time than the Spurs players would allow him. Barely made an effort to help out defensively.

He was poor today. His passing is not fast enough, easily to lose control of his ball. Still don't know why he was on the field for the whole 90 mins.

As much as I enjoy watching him (or used to at least) we definitely shouldn't be extending his contract. His ponderous decision making and slow turning/reaction speed makes him a bad fit for the premier league as well as the higher tempo style we are trying to play. And he doesn't fit with Bruno.

Feck me his energy levels are rubbish

And he gets brushed off the ball far too easy sometimes and then othertimes Anthony Joshua wouldnt be able to push him off the ball. Can’t make the guy out at all

inconsistent, that’s what he is. What hurts is that we all know how good a player he is, yet he doesn’t live up to his own standards

The day he leaves will be the day Utd can start rebuilding.

His name sums up the post Fergie era!

This guy is on how much again????? 300k??

Can’t play when he gets pressed!! Lost possession multiple times, bad passes!! He ain’t fast enough either….

I am not saying he isa bad footballer but my god… if I am paying someone 300k a week, I need a Modric!!!

Or at a minimum, someone who at least tries to give a bit of effort.
As others have said. Far too slow in thought and movement.
The trouble with Pogba is that he thinks he is far better than he actually is. Which is bang average performance wise.

Absolutely appalling. Proper 1/10 performance. Those claiming he is at his best in more advanced positions can sit down now.

Agree with one of the posters further up, it looks like he’s losing something in his game, not the same player at all, wouldn’t give him a pay rise and big contract that’s for sure we’ll only be left with an aging star on massive money, need to be ruthless and replace him to progress.

For the ever reducing number of quality passes he pulls out he simply doesn’t have the fitness, stamina or pace to be effective for us anymore and needs to be replaced with someone who will fit the team much better.

His insistence on holding onto the ball until someone closes him down and hangs onto his back is really starting to grate, what’s that all about, just look up and pass it on!

Him and Rashford were an embarrassment.
No desire to work hard and are just not team players at all.

Honestly cannot wait until he's gone.

I do not think he had such a bad game as some of you has been saying. He got fouled a few times when Moss would not simply give the foul.

I didn't catch a lot of the game so I wont comment beyond what Ive read and heard. Apparently his first half was good and second atrocious?

Anyway, him and Bruno were equally terrible vs Atletico. I would be seriously worried if they both started again.

We absolutely shouldn't pay silly money to keep this guy. Let him go. Rebuild. He's only going to get worse here on out.

I thought Rashford looked like he wanted to try harder yesterday to be fair to him he was actually tracking back and putting in a few challenges. Pogba was really poor for me after the first 20mins or so. I think were going to see a big fall off in his productivity from here on in and we should definitely let him go. He’s a big heavy guy, no chance he gets himself into good enough shape from here on in to be a 90min contributor.

He will probably turn up next year after a decent pre-season and look closer to his peak level. I don't think it is just attitude or commitment in his preparation(though no doubt there should be some focus there) but he has also had a couple of injury hit seasons and covid so his physical level is not where it needs to be.

Big guys like him to tend to recover slower and maybe drop off a little earlier, it is hard work carrying all that mass around the pitch, we saw it with Matic, Fellaini to an extent, could even say Yaya Toure dropped from being the best in the league to struggling to play in a 2 quite quickly. Vieria was pretty much done at his top level at 29, Ballack was never the same player at Chelsea at 30.

The club should be considering that when thinking about making him the highest paid player in the league. What is going to change with Pogba in his 7th season in his second spell?

I backed him for years after we re signed him, and I do think he could have been used a lot more effectively in better teams, but it’s all irrelevant now. The simple fact is he’s picked up a lot of injuries and doesn’t look close to the same kind of player we signed. He’s never been a work horse but he looks really slow at the moment.

If we could offer him a 2 year deal on top wages it might be worth the risk, but we have to cut our losses however embarrassing that might seem right now. If Liverpool aren’t breaking their wage structure for their best player in the last few decades then what are we doing.

This time with no transfer fee involved I bloody hope some club will finally take him.
Otherwise next season will look similar to the last six, with the only difference being that we will be paying him half a million per week for:
- 3 months to get fit (in this period he will be either injured, walking on the pitch and letting opposition players past him, giving the ball away regularly and conceding penalties)
- 1 month in which he hits form (and his fans claim how his contracts are justified)
- 1 month where he plays well for France (and his fans claim how his contracts are justified)
- 3 months he is out injured / unfit
- 2 months he tries to get fit

The bald pogba… good to see him showing support for our incoming manager ten Haag. :smirk: On a serious note, we need him to up his game against athletico… he needs to dominate the midfield on the biggest stage, if his performances drop and he gets no interest in the summer I can see him signing a new contract.

Seems so much less nimble than he was when he joined us. Seemed to be a tad light in his feet then (at least for his size). Now everything seems like quite the effort.

His problem is he's too aloof, fooling around on the ball, while his opponents give 110% effort.

Yes and in the second half I noticed that he had moments where he could have made good passes but tried to hold on to it and dribble. He does not play for the team.

Him shaving his head before that performance not only symbolised, but factually proved he is the true Micheal Jordan of this right here. Maybe the greatest Football social media star of our time.
