It's nuts how, in one of England's finest generations, we've managed to amass so many absolute mental midget English players who's mouths work a lot harder than their legs or brains.

Shaw, Rashford, Lingard, Maguire, Henderson...a collectors box of professional victims.

Don’t want to praise toxic cnut, Mourinho who threw the heritage rant himself but how right he turned out to be in hindsight about Martial, Pogba, Shaw and Rashford and their mentality. They threw him out and these lot and their egos must have swollen enormously after we sacked him. We should have thrown both parties out of the club for our own betterment now looking back.

Then came Ole being pally pally with everyone and calling them Anto and Rashy etc, pampering them and stroking their ego to such a level now that they think they can do no wrong and are beyond criticism.

If this doesn't convince people that he should be sold then nothing will.

What's worse is that he's going to go downhill more now since he isn't getting any younger.

He doesn't feel wanted here?

He's been on circa £150k p/w for what 7 years?
And at best has given us 2 very good seasons and the rest seem quite forgettable.
He should be counting his lucky stars; no other club would have afforded him that opportunity.

The words of a man who was firmly behind Ben Chilwell in the England pecking order prior to Chilwell’s injury. He exudes what is wrong with the club, this isn’t just a French International midfielder issue - our players leave the club & can’t shut the hell up.

Sorry what can't we handle?

He says he doesn't feel valued? He's right. He's been average for 7 out of 8 years. Why should we be grateful to have him?

Should I just pretend that I am watching Denis Irwin? City, Liverpool and Chelsea are paying players in his position virtually half what he's on. Yet they're getting better and more consistent performances. Why should we be happy about what we're seeing from Shaw? Why should we be falling over ourselves desperate to see the club give him a new and improved deal?

If he can find some other mugs to pay him over £150k a week, good luck to him. I'll be happy to see him gone.
Well, this isn't true. He had 3 seasons that ranged from good to great which is basically more than any outfield player post-Fergie. Also, nice to see you and others counting the period he was out because of his leg break against him.

8 seasons here and he is being really good in 1. Dropped 3 games and now is publicly crying. Good riddance.

Personally looks like people overreacting to his comments. He really enjoys playing for England, as do most of the squad it seems too.

United have been shite for years. I just see it as praise for Southgate and the existing set up with England. A lot of other players have spoke about enjoying the camp in similar terms.

I think it's been hinted before that he previously didn't enjoy playing for England as much as he has over the past year or two.

People mentioning Mourinhos talk, I keep thinking of what Keane said about lepoards and spots and this group of players.

I think Shaw was really good leading up to his injury and got back to that form last season. He had a huge injury to get over and I dont think overall he has been as bad as many say.....

But his contract ends in 2023, again....he was some kind of record fee for an Englsih teenager or something at the time and he, bar last season hasnt been consistent in his time here. And though I still rate him, he isnt the best left back out there, I think his positioning is awful, its as bad as Bissakas and he has never improved it in his time here.

On one hand, there are too many others that are a priority to move on this summer and he is one of the players even though overall has been mediocreish I would probably keep...................on the other hand, has has just one year elft on his cotract and after lookign like finally getting nearer the player I expected last season, he has again gone to patchy bad form, not sure he deserves another contract, which only means one thing

It's amazing that when people were absolutely praising him to the heavens on here for his performances at the Euros last summer (and in some respects rightly so) and were giving him kudos for talking back to Jose that nobody picked up on the comment he made about how he said he knew he would "outlast" Jose at United. I immediately thought to myself, wow, that's showing your true colours there and NOBODY is picking up on this comment. That comment basically said I'm waiting for this guy to be sacked rather than getting my act together.

Maybe things in the media get amplified and exaggerated to a massive degree because it's Manchester United but some of our players come across as the biggest bunch of underachieving entitled cnuts you could ever hope not to have at a football club. It actually seems quite astonishing and an achievement that we have such a collection

A player telling the media he feels “unwanted” after being dropped for a few games is peak post-Fergie United.
He can hardly have any complaints either considering his form. It seems crazy to me. I don't have much of an opinion on Ralf's time here but if he's having to deal with these guys on a daily basis then he has my sympathy.

I don't care what shaw meant by what he said in his interview today. The facts are that he had been at OT for 6 years and has failed to show any consistent form for longer that 6 months. We need to get rid of the like of shaw if we are to get out of this current decline, he's weak mentally, doesn't seem to have the dedication or desire to get into and keep the proper conditioning to be a top footballer.

3 is a stretch but even then 3 in 7/8 is a terrible return.

Not having a go but if you are being serious can you tell us more what you mean?
I believe @Idxomer is referring to our 'supporters' being a bunch of toxic twats. Who regularly abuse our players and come out with such lines as below immediately after they score goals.

Hated seeing Shaw celebrate

Why do people jump to conclusion so easily?

The man literally said that he likes that "he is wanted" for England. Then he hedged his bets in saying that he is also wanted for United in case journos start making things up or pull things out of context. No need though, the fans will do it for them.

Mourinho was right. He was right about a lot of our players.

Man has had about 2 good seasons in 8 and has the gall to question being dropped. Get rid.

Let's be clear, he's had a moan there. He knows how this will be interpreted, he's not daft. All these players can feck off please.

There's clearly many issues behind the scenes at United. We're probably unaware of 99.9% of what's going on.

The quotes.dony sound great, but I'm sure that that things must be pretty dire if he's talking about it publicly.

Pogba was saying similar things this evening also.

He's a dark horse, Luke. A little subtext every time he opens his mouth. So sick of the whole lot of them at the moment. Went to see Ireland tonight. They seem like nice lads. Maybe I'll just stick with them for a bit. If 90 minutes watching Chiedoze Ogbene of Rotherham bursting his arse and smiling while he's doing it brings me more enjoyment than watching United at the moment, maybe it's time to take a break.

Not too bothered tbh. I'm not surprised our players are happier with their international teams atm. Utd are plodding along with no current plan for future success(as far as we know)

There’s lots who like Southgate, but I think this pampering of players and indulging their feelings is a really bad idea. I thouht we were shite in the Euros and unfocussed, fluked it to the final, and then got our arses handed to us by a proper team (as Italy were then).

Shaw, Rashford, Lingard are the epitome of these needy cnuts. I don’t get how United have collected so many of them. It was the absolute opposite under Ferguson. Hard lads, focused on football and good at it. Shaw never quite says what he means, yet still makes it clear. Devious. As someone above said, every time he opens his mouth it’s subtext.

He's always been one who can talk the talk but at the same time won't keep himself in shape.

He's only got away with it so far because he's naturally gifted in terms of speed and strength.

He won't be one of those going strong post 30. We should be very careful about offering him a new contract.

Has he really said the 'outlast' comment? Wow. Mourinho had come to United one season removed from a league triumph at Chelsea, won Europa League, won League Cup, and came second to Man City's 100-point season with United's 81-point season. Despite that Mourinho has always been Mourinho, a player thought he could comfortably outlast such a coach. Wow.
