Injury prone, approaching 30 and would fit in Guardiola's system about as well as Grealish has. Let them have him on their wage book.

He's still got the daft contract on the table so we're past that point. You just hope now that he has no interest in signing it and staying anymore
That's a big if. We don't know if it's still there on the table and has been for the last few months. The signs are there that there are people at the club doing things despite a change looming, like boosting Bruno's contract even though he had years to run on his existing deal. But to offer Pogba a crazy bumper deal now, which will be his last major contract, when he's been as problematic a fit as has been evident under two managers and one interim, would really show there is no change whatsoever at the club. And I rather assume that the offer is not there on the table and the latest City links have nothing to do with Pep wanting such a difficult to fit player into his super disciplined side (I mean Pogba is pretty much an anti-Pep player) and much more to do with there being no suitors offering the type of money United are paying him and have offered him months ago.

I think he's an outrageously talented player, but nowhere near worth the money paid for him or the wages he's on, and he's an over-inflated-ego nuisance. Would be happy to see him leave.

I just don't know if I can be excited about next season if Pogba and Lingard are in the team next year
I’m no PP fanboy but I think by now we know what Jesse offers, whereas there is still a question mark even after 6 years about a happy Pogba under a coach who uses him properly. He’s never had that here. We’ve never seen the best version of Pogba in a United shirt. I get that argument against, but there is also an argument for in there too (just to play devils advocate)

Would be so funny watching all the Pogba fanboys doing mental gymnastics if he joined City or Chelsea.

Honestly couldn't care less where he ends up as long as it means he's off our books.

My sentiments too. It took me until last season to fall out of the Pogba bandwagon. Got tired of the Pogba /Raiola interviews.

Would be absolutely fascinating watching him at City. No doubt he'd spend most of the season on the treatment table regardless, but if he did ever get on the pitch just to see if he's capable of following Pep's orders or if he'd be dropped faster than a hot potato.

Still think the only reason City would sign him is as a tie-in to the Haaland deal.

Take him. He's never been consistent in his whole career.

he has already failed in premiership, arguably twice when he couldn't break into the united team ahead of rafael playing centre back. he is going to be 30. city need to improve if they are going to win their CL in what will likely be peps last year and he is a luxury player. his wage demands would break their structure. he will just take an easy few years in an easy league id say

If it means one less competitor for Tchouameni, they are welcomed to him.

When everything is great, he will be great. But when the going gets tough, he will falter.

Like Grealish, someone who wouldn't suit them at all. You want him next to De Bruyne? He's not a Pep player IMO.

From 10th minute onwards
Carl Anka plummets new depths for the weak defence when he suggests United tried to make Pogba a "new Roy Keane". He says the fans, club and media only realised he wasn't made of the same stuff as Keane in the past year or so. What? Is this a comparison anyone has ever seriously made? He seems to draw this line from an ITV chat between Keane and Vieira, it doesn't really hang together and it's exactly why Ankar is a terrible, terrible reporter for United. I know some think he's verbose and might find his lengthy questions refreshing, but come on.

Not fussed if he goes there. Need to stop caring about where our players could end up and start signing the right ones for our team.

I hope someone isn't trying to trick us into offering him a better contract. I'd like to say we're no longer dumb enough to fall for it, but I'm not so sure.

Signing Pogba would not help City win the Champions League i'm pretty sure of that, especially if he plays in a deeper role. Honestly don't care where he ends up, just would like to see the club move on and the circus finally end.

Well, on the plus side, he wouldn't have to move house.

Will do great at City, coming off the bench and doing nothing for triple his wages

Are City crazy? With him on the pitch it will be like playing with 10 men

Let's not fall for that one again. City pretend to want someone and we all rush to get them first. #won'tgetfooledagain

Think it's just a troll from both sides. Who is he going to replace? He isn't going to make them any better. Knowing Pogba , he will take it just to wind us up.

I feel he would have no issues moving to City. He has no loyalty to us, and all the “Pogback” nonsense when he returned to us was marketing bullshit. He only has loyalty to his agent and to his brand.

City signing Pogba to play in a deep role, that's one way of us closing the gap on top 2 clubs next year. We would just need Liverpool to sell Salah to Barca and replace him with Lingard. All the talk has been about us raising our level, but I'm liking this idea of bringing the clubs above us down at the same time.

Was going to say this, but was going to suggest Martial to replace Salah.

No doubt Pogba would sign a "180k" a week contract there, and suddenly start pressing like KdB did after Pep came in without getting injured.

Pogba linked to Manchester City?

He wouldn't last 5 minutes under Pep (Or Klopp). But saying that, City spent £100m on Grealish, who isn't exactly a Pep player....

I would love to see Pogba going to City, though. It would be hilarious.

Few reliable reporters from City are saying interest is genuine.

even if you think he's a mercenary (well who isn't) surely he won't stick around in the pl , the shitstorm would be out of this world if he was to do so.

Spent a lot of his formative years at United. Been handsomely paid upon his return. Kinda think it says a lot about his character if he goes to City. And no, I don't want this "what about Denis Law, then?" bollocks at me, because, in that case, it was completely different circumstances if you know your United history.

It will be good for us, I think. He’ll constantly slag us off and it might finally light a fire under our squad.

For City this is the same as signing Hargreaves.

He will be a superstar at City no doubt, as he will have genuine world class players around him.

Anybody wanting this to happen, is delusional.

This would be yet more embarrassment for the club.

Making him our most expensive signing ever, with crazy wages, only to lose him on a FREE AGAIN, but this time to our local neighbours!

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
This tells me that he hasn't had the interest in him that he was expecting, so now his camp are trying to get us to panic offer a contract again (or increase the offer if our original offer is still on the table). Or that City know that we've done that in the past so they are the ones leaking this interest to try to get us to make another mistake again.

Either that or the media are just making up bullshit again. I doubt there is any actual interest from City. Well, unless it is actually linked to the Haaland deal and encouraging the agent company to push him their way.

Make sure we don't give him a new contract no matter what. We need to move on and he's an injury prone.
