Absolutely. The lack of press regulation (due to the Tory party policies, or lack thereof) leads to more unchecked pro Tory media coverage and a prolonged Tory government.Tweet

Think that's the key tweet from the chain. It again disproves this argument from some that the Tory mass aren't just media led sheep.
Like Fox News they have the power to make anything an issue for 20-30% of this country. It starts with them then spreads like a cancer.
Initially, the story looks overegged, with her saying better jobs are a long-term aim, but then she really doubles down on it, saying it's the barrier to getting people out of food banks now.Tweet

Can’t afford heating AND food, just work more or get a better paid job, simple really! I bet people already working 60+ hours a week are slapping their foreheads right now! “A better paid job you say? Well shit, I never thought of THAT!”
FFS! Injustice don’t have words for these ghouls!!!
Jeff Daniels got it right in The Newsroom, we used to have a war on poverty, now we have a war on poor people.
Evidently.Rich entitled people preaching to the poor, does this shite actually work and get people voting for them?
Sometimes the best solutions are the simplest ones!Tweet

But But But... that's why they have job centers, and coaches and all that shit that, while totally ineffective, give out of touch politicians something to point at so they can say "see? We're doing everything we can to help!"Initially, the story looks overegged, with her saying better jobs are a long-term aim, but then she really doubles down on it, saying it's the barrier to getting people out of food banks now.
If the cost of living crisis can't whittle away some Tory support, god knows what will.
Yeah I had to go on a one or two week course to remain eligible for my dole after being unemployed for a few months after finishing my masters. Most of it was spent on our CVs and being shown lists of depressing factory jobs, with a bit of disinterested role play thrown in.But But But... that's why they have job centers, and coaches and all that shit that, while totally ineffective, give out of touch politicians something to point at so they can say "see? I'll never forget, when I was made redundant years ago, being sent to the Irish equivalent of a job centre and having a person there do everything possible to get me onto an ECDL course to boost my employment prospects. I already had an honours degree in IT and 15 years experience. It had feck all to do with getting me a job, their sole focus was taking the shortest route to getting me off the live register.
Came in here to post this. It’s just Occam’s Razor after all. It’s simple, just work harder & longer.Tweet

Occam's Razor is right, the 'simplest' answer is most often a Tory MP!Came in here to post this. It’s just Occam’s Razor after all. It’s simple, just work harder & longer.
On a Man United forum, I find this thread the most depressing by far. Only an actual Liverpool quad could top it, but watching this government lurch from stupid twat to stupid twat is like death by thousand cuts.Tweet

"OBVIOUSLY I'm not saying that it's a simple as working more hours and getting a better paid job, but one of the alternatives to being a workshy foodbank using bastard is to work more hours and get a better paying job."Tweet

Until the Tory media is regulated exposed or somehow understood as bias by the masses, we are fooked. On a Man United forum, I find this thread the most depressing by far. It's worse than Trump over the pond, because the tories are so embedded in the system and continue to do everything to undermine anything and everyone to maintain their gutter quality status quo.
They should realistically only appeal to a very small percentage of minted people, but no. All of the midlands and the north is Tory off the back of a single dreadful policy. Trific.
Yes, teaching the poor and humble masses to read was a big mistake, the silly bastards believe everything that's put in front of them!Until the Tory media is regulated exposed or somehow understood as bias by the masses, we are fooked.
We’ve gone back to the times and attitudes that Charles Dickens used to excoriate. The poor and just too lazy to get a job in private equity and too feckless to feed themselves at 30p a meal.Came in here to post this. It’s just Occam’s Razor after all. It’s simple, just work harder & longer.
What's incredible is that I wasn't immediately sure this was a parody. The comments to Rory Stewart’s retweeting of this are genuinely incredible:

Liked the bit about "getting the old people to work doing the menial jobs.... glad to be out of the house..... and might not need to pay them at all.." absolutely hilarious! What she should have finished up with is.. " if you are over 70, (3 score year +10) don't delay die today... and save the planet"What's incredible is that I wasn't immediately sure this was a parody.

This'll end with a Labour MP going down for it
It's funny how the alledged lawyer guy Starmer didn't see this coming. Kind of makes you question his credentials. This'll end with a Labour MP going down for it

It's funny how Starmer never protested that accusation when you and I discussed it in that Tijuana motel shower. He's had months to respond yet he acts like he never even heard us say it.he’s too busy fighting to posthumously absolve saville of noncing and eating the foetuses of aborted american children.

he definitely heard us because i remember him saying “you’ve got the wrong idea about me, i bet i can change your mind over a curry and a beer.” then before we could answer he shape shifted into black cat.
