Id love itfailure to win tonight/a hammering on sunday and we'll be there.
They will not beat City (as that is who they play this weekend) no chance, but out of interest what makes you so certain that they could beat them??I am not a betting man, but if I were, I would bet they will finish above a lot of the sides above them, including Man Utd and they will still get in the top 4. They are 14 points behind Arsenal, but that gap won't be very big come May. They are in a bad moment, but that will change for certain. If they win at the weekend and you lose, there's 2 points in it.
I know they are hated here and I get that, and you are quite rightly loving the pile on, but people are so reactionary these days. They've lost twice so far, away to Arsenal and Man Utd, hardly embarrassing and I guarantee you they avenge both of those defeats at home.
Why is that because I have a difference of opinion, that I must be a troll??Must be a troll at this point, a pretty good one though. Yet we feed it still..
Errr no the Community Shield is a pre-season trophy, along with all of the other myriad of other pre-season trophies that are out there, they don't actually count for anything, they are not in anyway important in the slightest. You sound like all the LUHG accounts in Twitter who just worship Jose Mourinho's 16-17 season for us. It's like if we just win a PL in coming seasons and someone claims Jose is better for us because he won 3 trophies that fecking includes a community shield.
You're using Nunez's performances to date in a bit of revisionist history. He was a hot commodity in the world of football last spring, and while you are mocking Liverpool for signing him, remember we had been in negotiations for about 3 weeks when Nunez chose Liverpool over us.Errr.....Mbappe is supposedly available, and I would suggest that he is a "top talent", do you honestly think he would consider even for a moment, of joining Liverpool??
Be honest now....
Liverpool are not a top tier European club, no chance of that, they are at best in the second of third tier of clubs, they cannot attract the very best or the highest quality/calibre of players to the club, hence why they signed Darwin, and not a proper top class striker, as no top class striker would in their right mind wish to join them.
Look at Mane, he couldn't wait to get out of there quick enough.
The facts are simple, Houiller was and will remain a far more successful manager for Liverpool than Klopp, winning 3 trophies, including a European one, on one season, dwarfs what Klopp has achieved at Liverpool.
Rafa also had a hugely successful period as their manager, this notion that both were not successful when they were is very odd indeed.
I have no idea whether they have any personal history - but it's my impression that Hamann is generally considered an absolute gobshite/clown in Germany. What’s the backstory with these two? Clearly seems to be a dislike between them.
Where is the evidence to suggest that we were in negotiations for three weeks to sign him, other than mere newspaper gossip??You're using Nunez's performances to date in a bit of revisionist history. He was a hot commodity in the world of football last spring, and while you are mocking Liverpool for signing him, remember we had been in negotiations for about 3 weeks when Nunez chose Liverpool over us.
Why is that because I have a difference of opinion, that I must be a troll??
Don't get me wrong, I don't want Liverpool to recover and get top 4, no chance. They will not beat City (as that is who they play this weekend) no chance, but out of interest what makes you so certain that they could beat them??
Yes the game is at Anfield, but really, honestly, do you see City getting beat there??
Nahh, Liverpool will not finish above us, there is no reason to think that, or base such a suggestion upon, going by THIS season, what they did in previous season's with different players available to them (see Mane as an example here) is totally irrelevant and meaningless.
Top 4 is simply out of their grasp, they are 4 points away from a relegation place, if as expected City beat them, and other results go against them, then they could be a lot closer to the drop zone then a top 4 place, why not acknowledge that as something that could happen??
I bet that they don't avenge our defeat at Anfield, I bet that we do the double over them.
See how easy it is to say things with confidence??
I never said that they could get relegated, (please show me where I did if you are claiming such a thing), what I merely said was if City beat them this weekend, which is what is most likely to happen, and results go against them, then they will be very close to the relegation zone....
There's difference of opinion and then there's stating that they could get relegated and that Houllier was a bigger success. Sorry but if you're not balanced in your assessment it becomes hard to take your opinion seriously. Of course I do hope you are proved right though.
Yeah but Houllier won 3 trophies!!!Must be a troll at this point, a pretty good one though. Yet we feed it still..
In one season, one of which was a European trophy...are you suggesting that is easy to do (if it is why have hardly any other teams done this?) or it isn't a success at all to win 3 trophies in one season??Yeah but Houllier won 3 trophies!!!
By your logic, Houllier and SAF are equally as successful. You know, as they both experienced season's winning 3 trophies, including a European one....In one season, one of which was a European trophy...are you suggesting that is easy to do (if it is why have hardly any other teams done this?) or it isn't a success at all to win 3 trophies in one season??
Can I have the lottery number please? They'll smash Rangers tonight, they are made of crepe paper.
Nope. Liverpool need beating down some more still. @MUW4Eva may be performing the worst reverse jinx of all time here. They could come back strong and win a couple of trophies easily. Will be supporting them this Sunday. If City have to win the league, so be it, but I don’t think I could stomach an invincible season.
It was hardly a far-fetched prediction. Rangers are absolutely shite. Can I have the lottery number please?
Mot too far fetched sure, but still a lesser predictable since they could only won 2-0 last week at Anfield, and now with more injuries to their creative playersIt was hardly a far-fetched prediction. Rangers are absolutely shite.
This absolutely. Any team against Liverpool always will have my default support.Nope. Liverpool need beating down some more still. @MUW4Eva may be performing the worst reverse jinx of all time here. They could come back strong and win a couple of trophies easily.
Obviously, anyone who doesn’t score for a couple of games aged 30 of over is finished. This is football in the twitter age.Salah still finished, is he?
Yuck! Will be supporting them this Sunday.
Which trophies could they win?Nope. Liverpool need beating down some more still. @MUW4Eva may be performing the worst reverse jinx of all time here. They could come back strong and win a couple of trophies easily.
Well done to him on scoring past Rangers, this is hardly a vintage, Brian Laudrup/Gazza side, managed by a true genius in Walter Smith is it??Salah still finished, is he?
What on earth are you trying to suggest here??Obviously, anyone who doesn’t score for a couple of games aged 30 of over is finished. This is football in the twitter age.
HopefullySalah still finished, is he?
Good point.Salah still finished, is he?
Haaland levels...... in League 1Good point.
If he played league 1 calibre teams every week he'd rack up untold goals.
Excuse me, that's Haalalah (c) to you.Haaland levels...... in League 1
Quite self explanatory. When a player over the age of 30 goes a few games without scoring/performing well some can't wait to proclaim that they're finished. What on earth are you trying to suggest here??
What nonsense are you talking about??
It will as they're the Dippers. Winning by the highest margin the the CL this season automatically means, to them, that their the best team in the World again.Hopefully that result gives the cnuts a false sense of security going into the City game and they get absolutely destroyed.
Aye. Hopefully that results in City winning by the highest margin in the PL this season on Sunday. It will as they're the Dippers. Winning by the highest margin the the CL this season automatically means, to them, that their the best team in the World again.
We are talking here about bigging up a player, for scoring past a very poor Rangers side are we not??Quite self explanatory. When a player over the age of 30 goes a few games without scoring/performing well some can't wait to proclaim that they're finished.
There's no way someone can genuinely believe the positions you're taking. No one thinks Houllier or Benitez were better for Liverpool than KloppWhy is that because I have a difference of opinion, that I must be a troll??
So let me get this straight, even though Liverpool don’t have a chance at the league you all want City to win on Sunday. You want the team that has taken over your city and basically has become your daddy for the last decade to win. It’s sad that you have given up on hope of reclaiming the city but I suppose that’s explainable considering your neighbors dominance over you. Have fun rooting for them.Hopefully that result gives the cnuts a false sense of security going into the City game and they get absolutely destroyed.
