I liked this more than Begins. It's not the classic that TDK is of course. But I thought it was very good.

Does this look like anything we've seen in the latest movie where he gets literally hit countless of times with all sorts of guns not to mention a fricking bomb exploding close to his face?
I was responding to your post saying you'd not seen batman stand and get shot like it didn't matter. I've not seen the new movie yet, so I'm not disagreeing with your sentiment as I don't know
I liked the Riddler up until the end. I thought he was a good villain for this movie
Do you get this wound up about MCU movies being absurd and beyond the realm of realism? What about the DCEU? Do you ever watch any fantasy/fictional movie without throwing a tantrum over the physics or whether something could be possible in the real world?

Yeah but this movie is supposed to be a realistic version of Batman yet is less realistic than Nolan's with Batman being a complete and utter noob at times.
No one ever said it was meant to be more realistic than Nolan's. It was gritty and realistic, but the concept of Batman is not exactly realistic regardless. Batman would not even work in real life, so in the movie there will still be some sense of implausibility.
I'm done with realistic Batman now. Next film needs to marry up some of the more fantastical elements, like the Arkham games. Also he struggled with some simple puzzles, didn't solve the crime or capture the bad guy.

At times, Batman narrating sounded like Rorschach in Watchmen. It was an ok film.
That song was playing for about 80% of the movie!

It’s not a bad movie but overall it was a bit meh. Technically good but somehow instantly forgettable.

Finally got around to seeing this. Thought it was very good. Maybe a bit too brooding a Batman, probably 20 minutes too long and a slightly underwhelming ending but really liked the noir atmosphere and detective plot. Catwoman and Riddler both well-realised characters. Looking forward to latter chapters, think this has a big potential.
The detective part is bland. Too many aha i just magically solve it

What about Penguin, he was the best character in the whole movie in my opinion.
I struggled to getting past the makeup, to be honest. His facial expressions seemed just a little bit off and nonhuman to me.

Finally watched it yesterday. The guy who played Riddler is a weird looking man. If you could get points for being weird looking he'd get some, due to how weird looking he is.
Didn't enjoy the film. Was just 3 hours of emo batman investigating some murders the riddler did to find out who did them, and then in the end it turned out the riddler did them. Fantastic detective work.

Worse than that, he was constantly told by everyone around him how to solve the clues and that the riddler did them.
People seemed to like it because it brough back the "detective" element. It didn't at all, in fact it made him look like a Watson if anything. Then, he needed super hero serum to survive. Kind of seemed like a non-batman film if anything.
Hated it. Batman looks like a tool more often than not, the "detective" parts were pretty laughable. Everything appeared quite forced, including Nirvana. I did like the Riddler though.
Is there any Batman film where he doesn’t look like a tool and does actual detective work(Which in reality would be going around knocking on doors and then doing some coke afterwards)
I do sort of think the issue is with the Batman character in general. The guy just sucks(Adam West aside) and it’s no mistake that he is always less interesting than the villains(At least in the films).
He's very good in Little Miss Sunshine too, where he also plays a weird kid who is taking a vow of silence for most of the film.
