Real Madrid is the biggest club in Europe, and i doubt tourists who goes to Madrid do it because of Real.

I'd argue that clubs use city's fame to market their brand, not the other way around.

For the Qatar bid to have won, not only would they have had to have bid by now but they would have had to meet the valuation for Glazers to accept without anybody else being able to beat them

All reports suggest Qatar will offer short of the valuation. So would make no sense for them to have won before even the soft deadline

Tbf it's a classic negotiating tactics, ask for 6bn but you'd really be happy with 4.5 always go higher in your initial request. It might be they've offered 4.5bn take it or leave it and the Glazers feel that number won't be beat, though it could also be bullshit

Although the story also says "deliberations are ongoing and no final decisions on the size or timing of any proposal have been taken", but that's fairly standard language in these types of stories.
