Qatar will end up owning us.

Hopefully they put someone who isn’t unhinged like the PSG lad in charge.

No ridiculous statement signings please.

They would probably want someone though. Doesn't have to be bad. If it's a Bellingham I'd take that

Why are there so many delighted about state ownership?!
Opposition fans would view us as no better than City.
This club can run off its own income. We’ll forever be tagged as lottery winners with this outcome.
That’s before the backwards morals of the owners. As a father of daughters, I couldn’t morally support such a regime.

State owned clubs have always had a poor view when injecting money into a club to get it started off the ground when the said club has inadequate organic revenue. By contrast this is a unique example of a very established club merely being owned by wealthy owners. You consider the City investigation you can almost guarantee it won't become a muscle flexing contest for spending the most. All that's required is a debt free model, infrastructure investment and a rational hierarchy to lead footballing matters.

Whilst I agree with the general thought, we desperately need quality upfront. So if Ten Hag wants Kane or Osimhen, he’ll hopefully get the funds for it. We also need a partner for Casemiro, as Eriksen won’t be able to play every game next season. I really think someone like Kane and additionally Bellingham would instantly make us credible contenders for every trophy we compete for.

I wonder what'll happen to the transfer market post the inevitable billionaire takeovers of Utd, Spurs and Liverpool.

It'll be mad with all of them scrambling to one up each other every window. Chelsea and City obviously in the mix as well.

Spain, Italy and Germany might be forced to reanimate the Super League to remain competitive in the market.

Oil me up!
If we get an Arab nation with loads of dough, the hatorade will be overflowing.

Especially if the sanctimonious pricks over at Anfield get another US owner who's tighter than a duck's arse. They'll love having the higher moral ground and we'll love actually winning titles.

If it's true that they already bid they have played their cards really early. Either this is bs or they are totally confident to blow everyone else out of the water

£5bn. Crazy money for a football club. The Glazer scum have leeched off the club for years and can now make a huge profit after saddling us with debt. They should thank their lucky stars they were able to get away with it, then they should promptly sign on the dotted line and feck right off

£5b opening bid, knew well that talk of £3.5b was utter nonsense, especially when a bid of £3.1b just game in for Spurs. Reckon it will be closer to £6b when sold.
Not sure. Think we’ll see everybody else drop out after this, can hardly offer less and expect a positive response.
To me, who knows nothing about this, it appears the auction is over and now it’s just details.
it’s amazing how Qatar have managed to make themselves the default option to the Glazers without any blowback. Nobody is fighting back for hearts and minds
