Small sample size. They have only been owners for 11-12 years. Besides three years is long in today's football. No manager post-Fergie has reached that time period and we are known to be a club that gives managers chance to stay longer than deserved.
What is the problem with that? Our second greatest manager captained City and played for Liverpool. Without him, United would have not been a big club.

One positive to come from a Middle Eastern takeover is it might finally get rid of those Top Reds who never accepted Man Utd becoming a global franchise. There's not too many of them but still a few lurking around the club. Get in the the bin tbh.

While arguably nice in theory (there is a massive amount of politics going on in those systems too), it just cannot be done in practice. Clubs are private businesses, the government cannot (and should not) just take them from the owners and give to the fans. Fans might not like it, but clubs are private properties of their owners.
But before Busby became our manager, he was a wanker. I mean, he captained City and played for Liverpool. That's like James Milner in reverse, even worse, cause Milner is just the second captain of Liverpool.

If you Google the profiles of the two names mentioned I don't think they have the background nor experience for running a football club.
One of them was the co-chairman of Qatar's world cup committee. I can see him being incharge of the whole United-centred project from the perspective of urban renewal, city infrastructure etc. Not just a football club which would be a step down for him -- responsible for a 200billion project versus a 6billion quid project.
It's not really, there was always a few who never liked the global aspect of Man Utd and sneered at overseas fans.
Those people will disproportionately hate a Qatari takeover so they may finally opt out altogether. I heard Neville's club is doing alright.

I think they were even included in the poll that The Athletic had too. From my quick bit of research, it seem the two main player in Josh Harris and David Blitzer own shares in Crystal Palace.
Ordinarily, you'd guess yes. But the Glazers could not care less about the fans' preferences and will simply sell to the highest bidder, so spending time trying to win over the fans is a bit of a waste of time for prospective buyers, until they know they've won the auction.

The athletic doing a poll isn’t really a reasonable sample of all Utd fans. The average fan isn’t going to pay for a subscription to The Athletic especially during a cost of living crisis. It’s clearly a certain demographic of people who will be subscribers and therefore voting.

Maybe you misunderstood. At the corporate and commercial level the local side of things are meaningless. I’m not saying it doesn’t matter as a fan.
Reality is there is from a business perspective the local fan base is negligible. It’s foolish to think they have a stake commercially. Even local players like Rashford wouldn’t stay a second longer if we couldn’t afford him from the commercial side of business
