Don't even have to break the rules or cheat. I would say right now we have an idea of the type of player we can attract. Yes, our current owners are leeches and that takes away some of the buying power/wage bill. But if a couple years from now we're in for the likes of Mbappe and win titles with them, it will be because of the budget increase from the deep pockets of the owners. Basically buying championships. Thats my worry.
One of the most important parts of their press release is DEBT FREE. Without the debt our budget will automatically increase, won’t necessarily need to dip into their pockets any more to buy players.

Sir Jim bid is 4bn. Think Qatar has started with lower end while SJR bid is near the maximum amount that they are prepared to pay. Could be completely wrong but thats my assessment
IF value of bids are true (5 billion Qatar, 4 billion Jim) then i don't think that Jim has a chance. It is one bloody billion difference. That is huge gap.

Please tell me people aren't naive and reading too much into the official value of the QIB. They'll be getting funding from elsewhere as well.

Yeah, I was going to say the same. Don't go too much by official figures, the guy is a very high ranking member of the Qatari royal family, this is essentially a state backed bid.

We are finally getting what fans have been crying out for for years. A highly wealthy Utd fan who will come and wipe away the debt and invest heavily in the infrastructure and the club. The start of a great era for Utd!

My two cents, although I've never worked there and have had good interactions with Credit Suisse over my career, but overall they're a little bit of a shit show.
Made good money shorting their stock

So they are poorer than INEOS

It's state backed 100%

This way makes it easier to distinguish themselves from PSG

The funding will be unlimited, hell United without debt will be able to piss money up the wall regardless

This. And the state of Qatar is not buying the club. So all is well, right? No one has to leave the club?!

Suppose when we are looking at any of the numbers it's a bid of x billion. Plus however hundred million to clear the debt and then many more hundreds of million to rebuild the stadium and training ground

So even a bid of 4 billion is probably closer to 6 all in
I reckon the amount spent over the next five years (not including player signings which will still largely be just revenue/player sales funded) will be close to £7billion if this all comes through. New/redeveloped Stadium, surrounding areas and training facilities. All best in class.

The two are nowhere near the same. I wouldn't be surprised if this 92 foundation got a massive injection from the state because they like their causes so much which helps them build a new stadium or renovate.
Hope you are right. Would be underwhelming if we end up with the poor Qataris

Is this guy legit? Or some wanker who paid Twitter 10$ a month for the checkmark?
"Verified account This is a legacy verified account. It may or may not be notable. Learn more"

Those who are subscribed to twitter blue don't have their fake checkmark showed on embedded tweets on here.

But he can be a wanker nonetheless.
