He absolutely needs to lineup differently against Bournemouth. No lightweight midfield. Fred in from the start to give us some energy and Garnacho in from the start too.

Weghorst is useles. Pellistri has proven he can do a Garnacho as a sub on the right.

At least not letting Garnacho go to thag youth WC has paid off

Glad he put in Garnacho in the second half. Wouldn't be sad at all if he dropped Sancho for him. Got the win today, which is all that matters.

I was raging with the two late subs until I realised it was a triple change and he was bringing Garnacho on as well.
That should be the final nail in Sancho’s coffin now, Garnacho is just so much better it isn’t even a contest.

Yeah that guy. The united spaces I’m on the general consensus is they want him back. Although it’s a small sample. I think he solves a lot of problems for us especially with every decent striker valued at over 100 million.
I will hand to heart stop supporting the club if he does come back. And I'm not the only one.

Brilliant game management. Now very close to top 4. Intensity thankfully also increased a lot after the first 25 or so minutes.

His job would so much easier if we could convert our chances.
Seems he sees something that none of us see in Weghorst. Nevertheless, he did well for a change when he came on.
We need to learn to win more comfortably next season. This season, just get the job done.

^^ what was the brilliant part in it?

It was a cagey game and I think manager and players did well to come out successfully in the end. Game was pretty tense until the very end, it's a job well done for me.

That’s exactly the type of game we need to play more often (the finishing of chances needs to improve though). The chances were there to kill of the game earlier.

What was cagey about it? Wolves were shit and we wasted too many chances, even at 1-0 up but Wolves barely threatened.

I also think, it was a good game overall. But I thought is was pretty tense until very late. Finishing let us down today, that is for sure - thats why I don't moan or criticize the manager (in this thread) just a bit suprised when people call it brilliant. I just asked, what has been meant with it.

Even the commentator sensed a bit of nervousness in the stadium until very late. I think, both teams played decent enough, we created a few chances, they didn't.

I didn’t write brilliant game, but game management.

Not the DNA talk again :nervous:

Two more wins and we get top 4. We also have one trophy and an opportunity to win another one. I wouldn't bet against finishing the season on either 75 or 73 points which is a decent first season total.

0 doubts about him. Firmly in the "back him, give him the tools he needs and let him coach". He's as good of a coach as we can get out there. Not Pep, unlikely to ever reach that level, maybe not even Klopp, but that's fine. Give him time and let's see where he gets us. The furthest thing from a problem at the club.

Will be sacked mid-way through next season if we carry on playing like this
I reckon if we carry on having 27 shots a game and playing as badly as you think, he’ll be doing alright.

Many people may not like this but if we have Greenwood back we would be scoring a lot more goals and our position in the league will be higher-ups. ETH job will be much easier. We really need a good finisher. Greenwood is the best finisher I have ever seen at Man Utd.

The amount of chances and shooting opportunities Sancho, Martial, Antony and Bruno had we should score more.

I am almost there. Only doubt for me is if he truly wants DDG.

Not even 2 pages of comments after a comfortable win.
Reckon if the game finished 0-0, 1-1 or we lost, this thread would be exploding by now.

I'll never understand why people are so willing to criticise and hate.

I'm just not seeing it being possible. It would be weird when he scores, some fans celebrating, some half heartedly, some not and jeering and booing. A bad spell of form could get nasty with reactions. It's best he moves on as I don't think enough fans want to see him back as it's clear what happened.

I don't think there was any "brilliance" about the game management today. It was all fairly standard. No different from many other games, it's just some games we will inevitably win and some games we won't. I'd have backed what he did regardless of whether Wolves got an equaliser. Every player he took off was struggling for energy or performance, clear as day, and every player he put on were the default replacement.

We had complete control so there wasn't much to do. The game was largely playing itself for the manager.
