Been checking this thread all Monday on and off, quick scan here and there. It wasn't until past 10pm did something solid come in from the Qatar side. I know for a fact if r/reddevils was open there would have enabled lot of folk on tir to be crying. Its what I admire about this place. No matter your stance so long as you're not toxic af / breaking rules you're allowed to comment.

Prior to last year, I never saw any of his content. I just knew of his name as someone to be annoying and a whole bunch of rubbish leveled at him over the years. As I never watched him I never formed my own opinion on him and like an idiot just went off what others had said about him which as you know isn't the way to go about things. I much preferred the content released by FullTimeDevils as that's what I saw first so my views were swayed by them and not UNS.

Fast forward to recent times, I take a view of his content to get an opinion for myself and realise why this guy is a grafter, not the grifter I was told he was. I 100% believe someone would have reached out to him. He has been very level headed on his view about the takeover and lowkey its refreshing to hear my own views repeated by him (by chance).

Watching his late night stream, he implied he had info from people who wanted to release the story before their name is allowed as a source.

I would expect some early morning news from the British side if this were the case. My bet would be James Ducker.

Nonchalantly scoring the winner...
So excited now, its been a long time coming it's going to be such a great feeling when it's confirmed the scumbags are leaving.
Love United hate Glazers!!!
100% mate

Same same
:)

Wouldn't mind betting many of the UK journos along with BBC and Sky are probably having all nighters to get info from Qatar sources
No doubt, it’s one of the biggest football stories in decades.

So IF Jassim has won (needs UK noise later today) then I wonder which club will Ratcliffe try and buy next
Spurs or West Ham. Ratcliffe has Spurs written all over him, it’d be a good fit.

It's like the night before Christmas :D

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. But...

UK journalists are probably closest to Ratcliffe and furthest from the Glazers and Jassim. If the deal has truly been completed between the latter two, it would make sense that UK journalists are now mostly out of the loop.

Given all the twitter speculation happening right now, you would at the very least expect a refutation from the Ineos side if they were still in the hunt. The lack of response is interesting. Though maybe it's coming later this morning.

Jassim state backed though, mbappe news broke today too of him leaving PSG it's either United or City put it that way.
its madrid in 2024 more likely. he can literally sit there and go for nowt, doesn't have to leave this window . madrid report theyre looking at mbappe for 2024 over a deal for kane this window and suddenly hes not renewing ? colour me 'surprised '

So who's got more money now, us, Newcastle, or City?
by about 50bn compared to jassim entire family. their owners are worth something mental like 330bn, theyre 80% owned by the PIF. they could literally blow every single club out the water with regards wages and transfer deals, comfortably so, too

Yeah that is most likely how it plays out

Maybe the Glazers could try to buy Liverpool when they are flushed with cash. Please let that happen. The meltdown will be epic.

Hard to relax until UK sources speak
Yeah I'm not unzipping until BBC or Sky Sports starts chimming in.

But yeah for now there's a little movement down there. Not a crazy amount, but just enough for form a few wrinkles in my trousers.

The after hours trade volume was 20% of the regular day trade volume average. That's quite significant.

That seems pretty inconsequential unless transfer’s suddenly reach multiple billions.

When you're getting to that type of wealth, what really is the difference between 50 billion and 330 billion apart from the 280 billion? They can both comfortably spend whatever they want and it wont be a dent in their pockets. So I dont think Saudi could blow Qatar out the water as no one needs to spend 100 billion.

People make tongue-in-cheek comparisons to Succession but it's really not that much of a stretch.

I see them mostly as Connors though, not even one of them is close to Kendall.
Kendall was shit too though but lacked self awareness. What we need is Roman, the man who knows and accepts that he’s bullshit.

Besides the Saudi strategy seems to be to spend more money on getting sports into the country. I don't think they'll go particularly crazy spending on Newcastle

If you really loved United then you'd understand the turmoil this will cause for those who morally can't support a Qatar bid. Don't be a dickhead.
How many times will you lots be corrected that Sheikh Jassim is an individual bidding to buy the club and not the Qatar state?

It will be Ratcliffe still I reckon. You all got merked by twitter japesters IMO.
God, I hope so... If we get bought by Qatar I think I'm out. Can't imagine ever loving another club so would probably just drift away from football completely - which is something I'd never have believed possible a few years ago

Let's hope todays the day.

I just want this to be over now, don't really care who wins, need ETH to get his players....

By the way as someone who lives in the Middle East and in a neighbouring country to Qatar, the word around here is that Qatar has won...

I'm glad I went to bed early last night and missed all of this. The fall will be quite something once INEOS are announced and I'd rather not feel that.

They will not listen. They will claim he is just a front if the Qatar state.
Keep telling yourself that. Even most of the Qatar supporters in this thread know its a state bid. The guy is the son of the former PM. And even if he were not, Qatar is not a democracy. Nothing of this magnitude happens unless its approved/wanted by the state.

Its like telling ourselves that the state has nothing to with Newcastle or City.

Sign all the players.
clubs are going to be lining up to fleece us.
The important thing is we need complete harmony between the new owners and the recruitment department this summer or there will be problems.
imagine the new owners come in and refuse to sanction ETH targets?
