We gave Van Gaal and Solskjaer probably a year more than they should have. I can't see us doing anything different with him.

Where the grass is greener.
It’s tough because we’re still yet to see him this season with a less injury destroyed team, it really doesn’t help.

The way we actually play football is still pretty ordinary more often than not though, that worries me a lot.

His tactics aren't working, his selections aren't working, his ideas aren't working, he needs to change something or he should be sacked ..

We can't afford to stutter every start of a season

Can't see how he reaches christmas, every player has gone backwards and he doesnt seem to have any plans in any game. Been outcoached and outplayed in pretty much every game.
he was trounced tactically by Gary O’Neil. We should have been spanked for 4or5 there

Get rid!!

Get the Brighton manager in

I know am shameless for this take but am hurting, badly hurting
We all are. Wild takes are forgiven in my books, it's been a shambles of a start with no clear sign of anything improving. Although I'll throw a party when the Glazers feck off, in saying that.

Agree. Lucky to have a single point this season. If we'd lost all 5 which we easily could have he'd have to go.

It's not looking good is it? His signings are mostly awful and he can't get a tune out of players he inherited. They are still all as shite as they have always been.

Hey at least he's enforcing squad discipline well, which I guess is the bare minimum for a manager.

Where I’m at now. Zero style and zero plan.
worst thing is that he looks like he had a style and a plan last season, just need better players especially striker.
But now he looked like he changed everything that worked last season, and the team has become considerably worse because of it.

Little issue with him. The club has a cloud over it, Greenwood, Antony, refereeing decisions, media coverage, Maguire. Everything we do is wrong and everything we do has 1,000 pages written about it. Until the Glazers go and we reset the whole club nothing is going to change.

I do like Ten Hag but I've said since he arrived that signing Mount will be the end of him.

No it’s not. With the amount of holes and lack of depth in our squad, £150m gets you one world class player and maybe another decent one, and that’s it.

Managers keep getting held accountable yet the owners don’t hold the people above them accountable to anything.
He’s wasted the money, there’s no defending his signings for the most part. He shouldn’t be allowed to spend more money until he can fix the glaring tactical issues with the team.

We scored a lot more goals under the previous regime, pre-Ronaldo

Said it before, De Zerbi (even though many calls him flavor of the month manager). I believe de zerbi should try his hand at a bigger club. If Pochettino was available he would have been ideal, but he isn't, so de zerbi is definitely my choice at the moment.
Do zerbi would end the same way all the others have. He’d do well to start but the rot would set in. It’s happened to every single manager we have had since fergie. This is a deeper problem than the manager. no single manager is sorting this mess out when you have the owners we have along with the structure we have. It’s honestly the truest thing about this football club and where it’s at.

Don’t you lot ever get fed up with calling for manager’s heads?

Get in the Brighton manager? Ok. Then what? He will still have the same issues ETH has.

We’ve got terrible owners and they are running the club into the ground.

His selection of McTominay on the right today, who did absolutely sod all to help Dalot out leaves questions.

As soon as ETH decided that we were going to be a transition team this season, the countdown to his sacking began.
This.. Already lost 3 games. It's unsustainable to be a transition team in a 40+ game season.

And put him under the Glazers he’ll join our previous managers in the dumps.
Tactics are under control of the manager. There is no reason other than our manager for our disaster of a shape this season. Subs etc. It’s him being exposed for just not being that good. Look at Ange at Spurs? Got them playing well instantly, we’ve never really played ‘well’ under Ten Hag yet.

Potter is available

Seriously though, Ten Hag needs to look at his own and staffs levels and straight lines. Nothing is working.

Performances since the cup final (February) have been poor. We lose against anyone half decent away from home. This season we've been very underwhelming at home too. It's hard to pinpoint anything tactically that we are good at. Transfers have been questionable plus there is a lot of off-field nonsense going on.

Would you sack or keep?

I am pro ETH but 3 L in first 5 league games is abysmal. This season is quickly going down the drawn. Forget closing gap on City, now it all about getting that 4th UCL spot. But whatever happens, ETH should get 3 seasons. I don't think firing another manager in season 2 is going to do anything
Do you think that ETH will develop a system if given another year? He hasn't shown any kind of football intelligence at all so far. Everyone knows the off field problems and the way we are run but that shouldn't stop a manager to drill players to play a certain way. I highly doubt that glazers instruct our managers to play crap football.

Honestly, why is Zerbi’s team so much better technically? Also, it looked like we were not fit / did not cover ground
Some players preferred ball watching to actually marking players. Question is why they couldn't be arsed?

I can't remember why I joined this war.
Don't think he will last through the season. It's not just that the team looks lost, I feel like he too often loses the tactical battle with the opposition manager. This already started against Wolves, who shut us down perfectly by condensing the middle so much that we couldn't execute our game plan, and it took the team and EtH way too long to adjust to it. Against Tottenham and Arsenal, he was both times too slow to react to their tactical changes in the second half, and it lost us the game. It's not just that he is too slow to adjust, it's also that at least this season when he adjusts it just feels plain clueless and mostly has no effect at all.

It's also a bit surprising to me, because I always thought of EtH tactical flexibility as his biggest strength but this season every decision he makes feels wrong.

I’ve been one of his biggest backers but even now I’m starting to reluctantly doubt him. I just don’t know what his tactics or gameplan is or what he’s training these players to do at Carrington? They just look like a bunch of headless chickens out there.

EtH doesn't have a clue how to get this team to progress, and some of that is because of the mess off the pitch. But it isn't an excuse because he's made some baffling decisions especially in the transfer window. It's just looking like the beginning of the end

This is all on the manager due to the nuances is system and players acquired poor result. 3 losses in the opening few games on the season where the teams performances have been nonexistent. I predicted a 6th place finish before the league started if the club doesn't pick up some results in the next week weeks it could be worse.
