I can take poor tactics, I can take poor implementation of said tactics, what I cannot take is a manager showing absolutely no spine. Doesn't even matter if we win our next 10 games, I want him gone solely for the fact he has no balls.

This thread is hopeless.
We should have been 3-0 up EASILY and still somehow the manager is to blame. When our players failed to score a bunch of 1 vs 1 and 3 vs 1 chances.
After a bad first half he made the changes that we needed and we 1000% deserved to win, creating a lot in the process.

Honestly, I wont bother to post anymore, will just go and enjoy the win. Have fun complaining and hating. :D

I'm losing all hope. What a shit football he stands for, and he doesn't even seem to care. Ole 2.0.
I lost hope when there was zero reaction after the loss to Crystal Palace... under a competent manager Bruno and Rashford would not start the next few matches. Heads needed to roll. ETH is weak

How many games he needs to learn that Eriksen must play every game and McDross must be in reserves?
He couldn't see in the summer that we clearly needed a like for like Eriksen replacement/upgrade so I doubt he sees it now.

Only a matter of time till he's gone, we're extremely poor and lack basic fundamentals. Zero progress, we've regressed if anything.

Transition football was great in second half but we need to score a goal first. That's the current problem we have.

It's not about the result. You watch this match and you see a team bereft of will. We are playing Copenhagen at home ffs! We should be in control of the tempo of that game at the very least but instead we are reacting to them.

Mental to blame ETH after watching tonight.

Inexcusable stuff from our attackers.
can’t get my head around this statement….

we only made the chances once he changed his obviously terrible tactics, and wasted an entire half.

have we played a single decent game in this 4141 shape he is so determined to implement?

no control in midfield.

takes Bruno out of the positions where he is effective - ie high and central with space to roam and little need to cover. The difference between his first and second half performance were night and day

forces rashford way too wide, and away from the inside left channel where all his danger comes from… definitely part of the reason for his terrible form.

I can’t think of better example of a game where the underperformance of the team sits squarely with the manager.

Yeah, that is something else. We fans, who know shit about football, knew thst we need younger version of Eriksen. He goes and buys another Bruno. Mind blowing

I've given up on him, some of the decisions he makes are just appalling, irrational. Have a feeling he's not popular in the locker room, as well.

Just a matter of time till he gets the sack.

Feel like he'd be a dead man walking if Sunday turns into another pasting. Feels all too familiar this, its like we're cursed to be stuck in our own managerial boom-bust cycles, and we're now nearing the latter end of this one.

The unfortunate thing is I can't think of a manager I'd be excited about getting in to replace him. Frankly I don't think it matters with the Glazers still lingering around like a bad smell, and I have no faith in Ratcliffe either with his 25% footballing focus.

He got away with it tonight.

Glad to see he brought Eriksen on in the second half. We looked miles better. The team should have scored more. If the finishing improved, we could suddenly be winning this 3 or 4 nil in the second half.

Which makes his decision to keep playing underperformers even more wierd. If your team is struggling on the pitch Nd you're losing the dressing room, your option should be to go hard or go home. Play the players who respond to you. Who will give their hearts out on the pitch

The recruitment will be his ultimate downfall.

We can’t attack. We can’t defend. We can’t control games. We play poorly. We don’t get the results we need.

His time here should be up. Neither his tactics or signings are working.

Tuchel. For all his faults, he would have benched Rashford a long time ago and given Bruno and Case a kick in the ass. I hoped ETH would be similar but i was wrong. What this club needs before a tactical revolution is a psychological one. Our players hardly play with pride and will even in the up periods everything justs feels meh. Our players need to take pride in the basics of football like fighting for every ball every second you're on the pitch. Obeying the manager's instructions to the later, and understanding that if you're not doing well then you're letting your team down and should not be on the pitch.

Tuchel is on another planet compared to ETH but he’s currently at Bayern.

This place can't even join late UCL win. In reality it should've been 3-0 or 3-1 before 70minutes mark had players finished their easy chances but sure let blame manager because that what United supporters do

Onana saved him tonight. home wins against such teams should never be so difficult. when they are, that's entirely on the manager. I believe he'll get the full season, but it's obvious he isn't what many believed he is.

Can’t watch the game live today. Look at the match stats, I guess we are still deep in trouble.

tactics shocking

needs to play 4-2-3-1 so we can be more solid defensively, better in possession, get Bruno as a true 10 and much more effective and improve us on break.

not sure why we cant go to hybrid 4-1-4-1 in some games and ask one of the double pivot to be involved in a high press.

As we saw again tonight we were awful until he changed it. No clue why he takes off Amrabat

It's funny how trash players like mctominay and Maguire are saving his arse by salvaging wins against rubbish teams. God help us when we have a moderately difficult run of games. The last month or two were supposed to be our easy run of fixtures for the season

We have had what, 1? Convincing performance this season and that was against a Palace B team going through the motions. But it is still 5 wins out of the last 7 in all comps for all that. Weekend is unlikely to be fun.

The game on Sunday is a water shed moment for ETH. If we get hammered then i really think he is toast, if we can get a positive result or a solid draw then it could be a galvanising moment.

Its never dull with us

Because it's another false down, papering over the cracks, call it what you want.

The fact of the matter is, we're struggling against Copenhagen at home, we played poorly, our attackers were useless again and we were a penalty kick away from being knocked out of the CL.

City on the weekend will be this year's version of when Liverpool trounced us 5-0.

I don’t really hate ETH but we have played the worst team in the league & a Danish team over 4 days and basically had zero control in either game . Tonight at home we had 5 shots on target with an xg of 1.66 and needed a late penalty save so not sure there’s much to celebrate.

Do you watch highlight and stat only?
Garnacho and Rashford missed few 1:1 with their bad touches. xG didn't register those because no shot was taken. Any average player would score these chances but sure let blame manager because he picks players that miss 1:1.

I watched the game and yeah those were bad touches but they came off us defending corners leading to counter attacks. It was hardly anything great created by ETH. At the end of the day we played a really poor team and there was basically no difference between the two teams on the pitch. Yes everyone enjoyed the result but people have the ability to analyse games beyond the result as well.
