Don’t think ETH will want Antony to be sold so could be so disagreement with Ratcliffe on that one.

Huge red flags if any signings are made while a new sporting director and chief exec are not in place.
Think there’s a chance a Sporting Director could be in place next week. If they’ve reached an agreement on the 25% sale, and that Ineos take over football operations, there’s no need to wait for the paperwork and other formalities to go through. I think SJR just wants to get on with it now and be well prepared for January.

Surely not true, get the infrastructure and hierarchy right first, then invest in the playing staff.
We could do both but in far more sensible way;

Infrastructure -
A) create an Actual org chart of how a new efficient Man United would look, look at this seasons Nice website for clarity
B) Dismiss the current employees that do not fit that new Organisation, keep and retrain those that do
C) They’ve done there 100 day review, the rest is for show , install new CEO, CFO and sporting Director
D) Start the improvements required at Carrington, potentially build a 10,000 all seater Ladies and Youth stadium on the complex.
E) Minor improvements at Old Trafford, Roof fixed, improved player and director lounge.
F) Player injury’s and rehabilitation facilities improved and some staff changed, United need a few Oxygen Tents at carrington and new state of the art medical facility.

All this can be done by December 15th whilst at the same time the current recruitment team handover to Paul Mitchell’s team or who ever takes over.

January Transfer Window -
A) Absolute decisions on players leaving valuation on players to be sold and other loans like Antony (25m), Sancho (35m), DVB (7m), Varane (40m), Hanibal (loan), Martial (Free). We might get rid of one at most for money maybe Sancho at 35m and DVB for 7m, Antony and Hanibal will go on loan and we’ll let Martial go for free.
However I wouldn’t be surprised if we move Varane on and replace him with Todibo.
B) Make Transfer Funds available we could spend £200m in the winter if we had the money as we sold £45m of homegrown players in the summer. If Jim means business he gives £150m plus player sales so say a budget of £200m

C) Get smart buy J Todibo £40m(if Varane or Maguire leave) and Loan K Thurham for 6 months. Then go buy a CFW like I Toney or V Osimhen then buy a couple of the South Americans like M Leonardo and Andre Trinidade.

D) If we sold £60-70m worth of players on huge wages to SA and then bought or loaned ;
J Todibo, K Thurham, A Trinidade, M Leornado and I Toney or V Osimhen
then all united fans would take Jim’s vision of a rosy future seriously !

If they can geta couple of Saudi sales lined up, I can see RW and CB lbeing lined up. I still think ETH has issues with his midfield balance and that isn't just down to personnel but to how clearly he sees that. We should be moving out McT (and planning ahead to move out Case) and bringing a powerful CM in to interchange with Mainoo, but ETH doesn't seem willing to recognize the problem and certainly not enough to 'risk' young player.

Unless SJR himself takes the lead on moving out the likes of Scott and bringing in Thuram from our new 'sister club' (Thuram is also a risk, but he has better profile in terms of his style of player, anticipation, getting on the ball etc) , I don't see an immediate (partial) solution. Having a SD with a clear-eyed vision who has authority to challenge Ten Hag will be key if latter is to continue, but the SD will probably take longer than a month or two to bed in, so we might be in stasis between now and the Summer.
SJR won't take the lead on footballing matters. They realised at Nice that it's the wrong approach and appointed a sporting director to have control over sporting matters. Signed a young manager that said sporting director wanted and have massively improved in just a few months already.

No serious journalist is tweeting about this on the day when SBC has his funeral. Its just bad taste, expect it to be finalised over the international break hopefully.

£250m is for one phase of a four phase redevelopment which uploaded on you tube ages ago, it’s quite an extensive redevelopment and involves the train tracks being moved. We’ll see right now it’s all hypothetical and the press will print what they think United fans want to hear ?
I'd love to see a plan of the feasibility of moving the train tracks, that would probably require ripping up half of the A56 aka Chester Road, one of the main arteries in and out of Manchester

Better to just put him on ignore mate, he's like a broken record!
Based on what I’ve seen of his recent contributions he actually seems like one of the best posters in this train wreck of a thread. No surprise he’s rubbing some of ye up the wrong way. The Qatar stans don’t want to accept that this whole saga is all quite complicated, with no definitive good or bad guys.

This is all beyond optimism. It is the kind of talk suited to the muppetry of the Transfer Forum.

Carrington - 10k stadium at Carrington? Do you know how difficult that place is to access and how there is zero public transport nearby? How do the thousands of cars get in and park?
I would be interested to know what the plans are at Carrington. Liverpools new training ground cost £50 million.
Player Lounge - New one already built at OT

Anthony - I don't see the manager admitting fault here. There is potential to get more out of him.
Sancho - Very hard to shift on a 350k wage as reputation in the mud. Who takes that salary on?
Varane - You not think Saudi Arabia realize that he is always crocked?

Todibo - Maybe for a fair price. But do INEOS want to disrupt Nice when doing so well?
Thurham - Loaning out one of Nice's best players?
Toney or Osimhen - We just spent 80mil on a striker. To do what, sit on the bench behind a 100-150mil striker?

I seriously hope not, again not one proven in the EPL?
It's a joke playing on the idea that Ten Hag only signs Eredivise players.

In actuality I imagine Ratcliffe's DOF and his team has been identifying targets for months now.

@Woziak do you know anything in regards to the parasites having to pay the historical debt off by 2025 ? As in the specifics ? I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately but trust your word with it all

I don’t expect any Todibo/Evans swap, Thuram loan or Moffi on a free type of deals. There would be a huge outcry at Nice and it’s the type of thing UEFA would destroy us for (while stalling the City investigation, of course).

Todibo makes sense but he’ll be 40/50m at least. I suspect we will see deals from Ligue 1 though. More likely involving Monaco, if we bring Mitchell in.

Agreed that the DOF/personnel decisions could be made pretty much straight away, before the ratification. I suspect we’re already pushing a few doors and will sign a couple of players at least (a CD and maybe a cheap striker like Taremi or Marcos Leonardo). More if the Saudis sign some of our big names.

One of Manchester United’s top investors has ditched more than half of its stock
https://www.cityam.com/one-of-manch...tors-has-ditched-more-than-half-of-its-stock/

One of Manchester United’s biggest institutional investors, Ariel Investments, has offloaded more than half of its shareholding in the last 18 months amid uncertainty over the club’s future ownership.

The Chicago-based asset manager held 12.3m of shares in United – 7.5 per cent of the club – in March last year but has since slashed that to 5.7m and is continuing to sell...

Red Bull Clubs do 'favourable' deals for each other all the time (likewise City using the City group for expedient player-development loans): we could easily send Nice a couple of high-profile loanees. Clubs have long had partnerships with each other prior to that. I know we get disproportionate scrutiny ,but there's a limit...

Of course - building a bigger pile of cash for the Glazers. Revenues/value of shares more important than sporting success. Ratcliffe has built his empire by scooping up struggling businesses, stripping them down, putting his own people in where necessary whilst being hands on until it turns a profit but unlike vulture capitalists he keeps them. Rinse and repeat. Utd won't be any different. This is about Ratcliffe acquiring a self-sustaining asset that requires a little investment to turn big profits 5-10 years from now. Do the research, dig deeper, apply logic and most of all - listen to Bruce Lee:

"You will continue to suffer if you have an emotional reaction to everything that is said to you. True power is sitting back and observing everything with logic. If words control you that means everyone else can control you. Breathe and allow things to pass."

What's actually interesting about this is QIA in February became a major investor in Ariel. Whether or not they've dumped stock due to conflict of interest I don't know. Probably nothing, but maybe a little something. Certainly is the only thing interesting about a significant class A shareholder dumping some stock.

Very interesting. Maybe hedging their bets and banking some of the gains made when they saw share prices peak at over $26.

There was a relatively small dip when Qatar pulled out, which may indicate that investors are mixed on whether INEOS will move to buy the rest of the class A shares.
I would have thought shares prices would plummet post the 25% news.
