He’s killing our attack.
He was. Also involved in both of our Goals. But Rashford is scapegoat nr. one nowadays so people only focus on the negative with him.I thought he was very bright and showed a lot more than Garnacho. Well-taken goal and could have done better with some chances but by no means a bad performance.
Not all our players get paid 300k a week though and he's the one that's built his brand on being some talismanic player with his stupid celebration.Could say the same for most of our players, we’ve allowed Mctominay to play without any intensity for years. Standards for effort and work rate at Utd just aren’t acceptable.
Rashford is the typical Utd player, flawed and erratic, has purple patches that gloss over it but outside of those patches a shell of what counterparts at other clubs offer.
What was his celebrationHis "celebration"!
I'll keep yapping about him frankly.
What was his celebration
You mean when Rashford got the ball in acres of space and all he had to do was a simple lay off to, I believe it was, Garnacho for a glorious goalscoring chance?
I was shaking my head when he decided to go solo.
Our standards are so low that apparently that was a real shift he put inHis best game in ages, put in a real shift in that open first half

Sad to see. Think the relationship between him and the fanbase got toxic this season and he feels it. (see today's celebration) Probably best thing for him and us to part ways soon.
As i said after the Wigan game at least his numbers (goals and assists) are improving. His overall game is still annoying as hell but that's never going to change now at his age.
Judging by the feeling at OT and on here i doubt many people would be sad to see him leave the club if we could get a good fee. It would be a really brave decision both by the club and the player which is why it probably wont happen.
A brave decision in the sense that the club would acknowledge that their star player (and local lad) isn't going to be part of the future plans rather than trying to make it work; the club would gamble that he's just a naturally very inconsistent player-hard to argue against at this point- and that his value is probably the highest it will ever be.Brave decision? He's our highest paid player and is completely stinking the place up with his performances and attitude.
Bigger players have come and gone. It's time that standards at this club were finally reset.
He doesn't have to do shit when he's nailed on for 350k a week for the next 4 years, there lies the problem.Has has to work more off the ball and in defence. But he won't.
Where would he be in a list of the most overrated overpaid players in recent times.
I understand the frustration in his general play and decision making but if he can regain the hot form again and keep scoring goals and assists and it seems he’s the only players in our wingers who works well with Hojlund then I don’t think I would be bothered too much with his general play and decision making because that’s the main job of the front three.
Agreed. At least his stats in goals and assists are improving (although i'm not sure you can count the first goal on Sunday as an assist?).Much better. He was more aggressive and showed signs of the best Rashford we know...
Something to build on. Hopefully
I’m assuming you mean against spurs? It’s the same Rashford we’ve seen all season except he got a goal finally thanks to Højlund giving him the ball back. He constantly runs into defenders and loses the ball and that’s what got Hojlund a goal. He did it throughout that game and when he should shoot on his left he tries to cut back on his right and guess what… loses the ball again. He does to much halve the time rather then play it simple.Much better. He was more aggressive and showed signs of the best Rashford we know...

No matter which manager is in charge this lad is going nowhere. You guys are setting yourselves up for disappointment if you expect Ten Hag to be sacked and a new manager to come in and bin Rashford off. Never going to happen, so better hope whoever comes in can get a tune out of him again.
Hojlund’s disallowed goal vs Brighton came from Rashford’s cross. 2 of the 5 UCL Hojlund’s goals were assisted by Rashford. Rashford had assisted Hojlund and the only our wingers who did.Rashford has yet to record an assist to Hojlund, and while I don’t have the statistic in front of me, I’d be shocked if he’s intently created more than a couple chances for him.

We start showing things have changed when we stop seeing him as a first choice pick - he's a squad player in any sort of decent squad..
The point here is that he's symbolic - an overrated, over-hyped player, given a ridiculous contract that creates yet another problem. Symbolic of a club that's been horribly run for a long time, where the driving factors - manager churn, no coherent playing strategy, a frankly crazy recruitment and retention model - can all be traced back to the failure of the owners to install a professional sporting operation. With professional people in charge. If I had a quid for every player departure since Fergie that would suddenly show things have changed, feck me I’d have a few quid.
Fellaini, Depay, Di Maria, Pogba, Sanchez, Lukaku, Bailly, Matic, Fred, Ronaldo, Martial, Varane, Casemiro, Bruno, Lingard.
The thing is, these players leave, new ones replace em, little changes.
If anyone thinks the big problem at Manchester United and the reason we’re floundering is Marcus fecking Rashford and not a dogshit ownership and football structure that constantly fecks us over in the transfer market then they are the one with a problem, a serious mental health one.
